She very much cannot sit in a chair properly. She's always got a leg propped up on the chair. She cannot and will not sit properly.

She loves cold morning snuggles. Bonus points if Sieran makes some nice hot chocolate and they're snuggled up in a blanket.

Before she died, she was pink and green! She had a bit of white but it wasn't nearly as much as she is now.

In a Modern AU, her desk would be very messy but organized. She'd have organized chaos.

Canonically she does not have any mounts. She travels on foot or by waypoint.

Assuming Sayeh is single, Ailbhe is always willing to try a relationship. Sayeh would probably not enjoy how often Ailbhe is at court or having to act prim and proper, but she might like seeing her in any of her many dresses. Even if they're not ROMANTIC, they could be pretty good friends if they ever interacted.

Once Sayeh can see past her being an Ambassador, oh man. Shadowed Scions, YES, she would love how strong Ailbhe is and how well she can fight.

Ailbhe is great at silent comfort. Holding her partner, letting them cry against her chest, whispering sweet nothings while massaging them. She doesn't do well if her partners need space.

Her love is written in letters. She likes using flowery prose with her beloveds. Letting them know how they make her heart feel.

Ailbhe and Sieran love surprising Cor when she comes home from battles. She was happy to bring Sieran to Cantha once everything was taken care of- they went on a date to the Red Duck Tea House in New Kaineng.

❣️— When do they first say I love you?

She's very in tune to when she feels love vs lust. It will be a few months of being together. Constantly actually being together, being romantic and not just friendly. After they've slept together at least once. It will be the morning after.

Wikki truly was a master at the art of food. Creating detailed, gorgeous pieces with nothing inedible. She smiled, humming as she worked. Enjoying the creation, enjoying every moment of it. This piece, large and round, resting on a gold filigree pedestal.

Taller than her, the asura’s golem held her up as she worked. The tiniest, minute details, immaculate in their construction. Shining, gorgeous, beautiful.

She was finished. Her creation was perfection. And in plenty of time. Wikki beamed as she jumped to the ground, carefully instructing her golem to package the cake. It would be safe, carried by her golem and escorted by herself and her feyfriend.

Dyowana appeared beside her, pressing a kiss to her cheek. “Hey Kiki~” They hummed.

Vielcos had an eye for design. She and Trahearne made sure everything was just correct, just in place. It was a small gathering, yet still perfect. The lilac gently kissed the firstborn’s cheek. This was perfection. Their beloved would love this.

It would be a surprise, but they wouldn’t scream as humans did. That would terrify the poor commander! They would instead just have the party ready. More a get-together really. But they would be ready. Aurene and Nykai chirped, wrestling in the grass nearby.

“Did Wikki make another cake for them? They’ll want some too.”

“Of course I did!” the asura called, “What, you think I’ll just not make a cake for dragons!?”

Ailbhe strode at Cor’s side. The Ambassador and Commander discussed a great many things as they walked. A sly smile over the tall, white sylvari’s lips, as they drew close to where the preparations were completed. She glanced over the commander’s form, reaching to take her hand and press a kiss to the back.

“Commander Cor,” she purred, “Happy awakening day.”

She moved the draping branches with a gentle hand. Cor couldn’t hide her gasp.

Cor’s family loves her. They do. They adore celebrating her, more than nearly anything in the world. Even Aurene celebrates, even if she doesn’t quite understand. Well, after trying to wrestle with her Champion.

Ailbhe heart scene three

It's a ball. Quite literally, she invited you to join her at a ball. She's in a gorgeous mint and blue dress, waiting in the gardens outside the grand palace. She greets you warmly, with a smile. She curtsies to you, you do the same. She takes your hand and leads you inside, letting go only for the announcement.

"A very special and warm greeting to Ailbhe Cuana!" The man calls after she whispers your name to him. You watch as she walks onto the ballroom floor with a graceful and elegant flair. You can't help staring, almost missing when you're introduced.

She laughs when you join her, once again taking your hand to pull you with her to mingle. Eventually, you two are speaking with Lady Valette and Demmi. The two girls are happy to greet her, and speak about how they've been in the past few years. Valette asks what your relationship with the Lady Ambassador is, with a smile over her lips.

It's... Complicated... (everyone is confused, Ailbhe is concerned)

We're close, I know that. I'm just not sure if... (Demmi jokes, the subject changes)

Well... Speaking of... May I speak with you in private, Ailbhe? (The scene jumps ahead)

You and Ailbhe meet on a balcony, with the sounds of the ball distantly behind you. She takes a moment to gush over the sight of the moon from here, then turns towards you.

"So I've been thinking... I think I have feelings for you." You explain, "Not... Platonic feelings. Romantic ones. I've been- When I see you excited, I want to kiss you. I want to see you happy."

She smiles warmly, stepping closer and taking your hand. You find yourself closing your eyes...

And feel her lips press against yours.

After the ball, she asks you to join her in the Grove. You agree, though you stay in the Reach with her that night. In the morning, she leads you through the asura gates, then up to the Omphalos Chamber.

If you're not sylvari, you have a conversation outside about who you're about to meet.

She approaches the Mother, greeting her as warmly as ever. The Pale Tree looks over you after you're introduced. As her beloved.

"Such love (you two share) (you have for her). I'm so happy you've finally found love, my dear."

After speaking with the Mother, you follow her to overlook the distant islands of the Grove. She has a home in several cities. Would you like to live with her? Perhaps on the move so much? She takes your hand, and leans closer.

She whispers, "If you will have me, I would follow you to the Mists."

1. Do they sleep with stuffed animals?

If she doesn't have a beloved to hold and she's in an unknown place, yes. She has a stuffed fish that Dagonet got for her when he noticed how stressed she was during her first visit to DR. She gets stressed and scared if she's sleeping in a new place, the stuffed fish calms her.

2. How do they like their coffee?

Iced, and very sweet and creamy. She likes cold drinks.

3. What’s their favorite dessert?

Cookies! Especially snickerdoodles!

4. What was their favorite bedtime story?

She didn't get to hear bedtime stories when she was a sapling. There wasn't any time, nor did Sylvari... have any.

But now that she's older and traveled, she enjoys some norn tales. One of her favorites is the story of a child getting lost and found by a pack of wolves, who raised him, and eventually, they were reunited with norn people.

5. Big spoon or little spoon?

She's tol, she's often the big spoon. But she does like to be held sometimes.

6. What’s their ideal date like?

Standing on a balcony overlooking what's below, talking and enjoying spending time together. Bonus if they're sneaking off from a party.

7. Do they daydream? If so, about what?

She doesn't often have time, but she sometimes daydreams of her beloveds and the time they've spent together. Sometimes even getting Sieran to dress up and surprise their dear pear.

8. Do they see shapes in the clouds?

Yes! She loves cloudgazing!

9. Do they prefer rainy weather or sunny weather?

Gently sunny, not too hot. A few clouds scattering the sky and the smell of rain in the air.

10. Do they like going to the beach?

She's not really a beach sylvari. She'll go if she has to, but she prefers... Pretty much anywhere else. Creeks at night? Sign her up!

11. What was the last party they attended?

A celebration in the Reach, she was called to attend and happily dressed up. She had fun, she loves attending and mingling. She even got to dance with the Queen!

12. What’s their favorite drink?

Fruity drinks and nectar from the Starbower Nursery are still her favorites. They taste like home. Bonus if there's a mango or pear flavor.

13. Do they like flowers?

Oh yes, very much! She loves flowers, she loves using faux flowers to add color to her clothes. She knows the language of flowers, she knows very well what she's doing when she sends a bouquet to someone.

14. What’s their favorite holiday?

Dragon Bash. She can let loose from being the formal ambassador and... Remind people why she's usually in heavy armor. She is the ambassador, but she's also a Herald. She helped kill Mordremoth. She's not just a pretty wallflower.

15. Do they collect anything?

Ohhh yes, she loves fancy dresses. She has a walk-in closet full of dresses. They're all colors and shapes. And a few of different sizes for her beloveds. She loves them so much.

16. Do they prefer to read or write?

Write! She loves writing fancy, or direct, or whatever the letter calls for! She loves how she can make her feelings as hidden as she wants when she writes, imagining the reactions of the recipient.

17. What do they do on their days off?

Her rare days off are spent on walks. Just enjoying her time. Sometimes on an adventure with Sieran, if the magister can pull her away.

18. Do they like to dance?

Oh yes, very much. She especially loves the ballroom dances of human society, but she is skilled at the coordinated, loud dances of Charr, and the high-energy dances of the Norn.

19. Are they any good at dancing?

Yes! She's very good at dancing and a quick learner of how new dances go!

20. What’s their happiest memory?

Returning from fulfilling her Wyld Hunt, seeing the relief on the faces of her people, seeing calm over them... Knowing nothing would take over their minds again. Her Hunt was one thing, but the effects were so much better...

Mordremoth’s infection was horrid. Ailbhe could feel the remnants of the seed roaring, the last traces of the Dragon trying hard to take root in her mind. She sighed, squeezing her eyes shut. Standing on a balcony of her Divinity’s Reach home, early morning. Warm summer wind tickling her arms. She wore a light dress, enjoying time off.

She heard the door open behind her, a set of nearly skipping steps. Ah… The lovely Magister.

Sieran hugged her, pressing her face into the secondborn’s back. She lowered her hands to gently hold the younger sylvari’s hands.

“This is early for you,” Ailbhe spoke softly

“I wanted to check on you…See how you’re doing.”

“... Better, with you here.”

Lady Sandstone has connections to dozens, if not hundreds, of smuggling groups. There's even theories that she might be part of the White Mantle.

C: Comfort

1. How do they sit in a chair?

She tries. She tries really hard to sit normally. But she's gay, so she can't. She usually lounges to the side, with her back pressed in the corner where the back meets the arm. Her legs are propped up on the other arm.

2. In what position do they sleep?

The Ambassador enjoys sleeping on her side, especially with a partner to spoon.

3. What is their ideal comfort day?

Relaxing in a spring, especially the one in the Dawn garden. She likes slow days. Fishing works too.

4. What is their major comfort food? Why?

Hmm... I'd have to say chocolate. White chocolate melted and mixed with milk and ice cream. She has a pretty strong sweet tooth.

5. Who is the best at comforting them when down?

Gotta be her beloveds! Be that Cor and Sieran or just Cor. Though Dagonet has always been pretty skilled at it himself.

The warband enjoyed camping together. Cybill especially loved seeing her family laughing and chatting together while they set up the tents. She took Aria with her to get firewood, returning as the skies faded to orange. Khione eagerly took them, starting up a fire to get dinner prepared.

The sniper sat on the dry grass, soft laugh rising from her as she listened to Dinky and Barnaby chatter away about 'the biggest drake they'd ever seen'. She felt Serin's tail brush her, a smile as she looked towards the smaller charr. Silent words, in that gaze.

"That's old news."

She laughed as Serin threw a tiny bolt of fire at her.

Disliked

A gruff charr, clearly drunk by the stench on his breath, crashed into the black-furred sniper. She tried to shoulder him off, only for him to suddenly grab her. Every instinct told her to shove him, or claw at his face. But she couldn't. This was a tribune. A Blood Tribune.

He shouted something to his friends, directly in her ear. They folded down as a hiss rose in her throat. He spun her to face him. He grinned at her growl.

"Damn, I love you."

"I don't."

It wasn't a rare sight to find the Pact Ambassador sparring with the Pale Knight. The two had to keep their abilities sharp. They needed to stay strong, ready for a battle. They always enjoyed the bouts, laughing together and enjoying a nectar after. Riannoc laughed as he handed the cup to the secondborn, beam remaining as his eyes caught sight of one of the Commanders behind her.

Cor walked closer, Ailbhe happily took her hand to gently press a kiss to the back.

"I love you." The elementalist said with a smile.

"I will never get tired of hearing you say that."

Disliked

The Countess had always annoyed her. With her prim and proper words and always seeking gossip on everything. The human hung off every word she said, following despite her excusing herself. The music of the grand ball turned to a waltz, the ambassador's hands quickly grabbed by the noble.

"I love you," she blurted in the middle of the dance, "I love you so much, I've loved you since I met you, my dear."

"Your grace, now really is not the time for dramatic confessions. We've a dragon to worry about, after all. I may not survive the coming battle."

So I got inspired :3c Commanding Diplomacy, set during that party in Season 2 Cor belongs to @salad-tales

There were a million different customs. A million things expected of her. Then another million for another race. A million more, then another. So much to keep in mind, so much to worry about. Ailbhe hummed softly, a gentle smile upon her features as she adjusted the collar of the dress.

Another party, another thrown by a human. She held a wine glass in one hand, the other moving from the collar to lift a few layers of fabric as she walked. There was a claim against the queen. Completely false, easy to tell it was, but these humans believed so easily.

She mingled with a few of the nobility, smiling and laughing as they did. Then she saw her. A soft excuse, smiling warmly and empty promises, and she slipped away. The glass was handed to a servant, a bow as she approached the beautiful elementalist.

“I would not have expected you here, Commander.” She spoke warmly, playful smile evident even in her voice. Cor’s surprise pulsed, though she returned the smile.

“Well, it seems the Countess wanted my attendance for a ... little something.”

Ailbhe reached, taking Cor’s hand. The gentle green glow brightened, her lips tugged to a smirk. Slowly, she lifted the hand to her lips, pressed a gentle kiss to the soft leaves.

“I’m sure the lilac can solve this. Enjoy yourself, dear Commander. She will call on us if we’re needed.”

How do your characters deliver bad news? Are they gentle about it or do they just blurt it out and get it over it?

Zhaleh is known to just say it and be done, so she’s not allowed to. Trahearne will give her a dirty look if she’s about to, especially to other sylvari. I’m not kidding, she won’t even give the person time to process what she just said.

“Your son is dead. Also we need-” sort of thing

Dubhan, back when he was a warden, would take the person out to the nursery for some nectar. He’d break it carefully and slowly, then offer a few rounds on him. Now, though, it depends on who the news is for. A Dreamer he’s trying to break? Sickenly sweet words and whispers.

Vie doesn’t. She can’t. She’ll break down crying with the person. She’ll often be with someone else when they break the news and will start tearing up when the receiver does.

Of all my characters, every single one, I’d probably say the one who does it best is a toss between Ailbhe and Kyveli. Ailbhe, because she knows how people will react and she’ll react accordingly. She’ll sit with someone and ask to speak with them, and what she does depends on how they react. She’ll spend the day with them to help.

Kyveli because, well... She could always make them forget the news. Or offer a wish to ease the burden. It’s not actually the best way to handle it, but it eases the emotional toil.

Where do your OCs go when they're upset? Is there a comfort location and if so, why is that so?

For a number of the sylvari, including Aengus, Vielcos, and Ailbhe, as well as Romeo, they’re most at home in the Grove. Any level of the Grove, just being close to the Mother and surrounded by sylvari. It’s somewhere they know.

For Wikki, it’s either her aunt’s lab (for the same reason, it’s home), the Vigil Keep (also home), or Tarir. As lost as she gets in the city, it’s peaceful and beautiful. She likes it.

Kyveli has an old clubhouse that she still goes to, a place her father built for her when she was little... Well, sort of. It’s small and quaint. It’s nice to be in there to think.

Assorted Headcanons: Ailbhe Cuana

She has always gotten along really well with Firstborn Dagonet. Since becoming Ambassador of the Pact, they spend more time together and have thousands of stories to share.

Because of the Inquest’s experiments, she feels like she can’t breathe if there’s too much fabric or plating around her neck. She cannot wear a lot of human-style clothing because of their tendency to decorate the area around the neck heavily.

She first attuned the Glint as Aurene hatched. She’d been working on it for a while, but the two connected for the first time as the Scion burst from her egg.

(Outside of Rebirth AU) She is also able to attune with Riannoc. They often discuss how the sylvsri have grown since his death. Sometimes the firstborn wonder if he can see them through her eyes.

She is The Big Gay, and you'd think she'd be suave and smooth, for all her work as the Ambassador. She is not. Help.

She was a Vigil Tactician before she became the Pact Ambassador. Even then, she was often dealing with feathers ruffled by Almorra.

Cuana means "Stone". She chose it as a surname because while it sounds pretty, the meaning is strong. The stone of foundation for the Pact.

When she briefly died, she woke in the Mists before Ventari. He was the first she cod channel because of this. She is still not sure why or how she came back to life.

She is antsy when in Metrica Province.

She would love to spar a largos, either in water or on land.

She has her homegrown armor as well as a Pact Ambassador set.
