Queen Annika (she/her) and Queen Neha (she/her) as a married lesbian couple with a daughter; Runaan (he/him), an assassin, and Ethari (he/him), a master craftsman, a married gay couple with an adopted daughter (protagonist); General / Queen Janai (she/her) and General Amaya (she/her), rival warriors who fall in love; Eljaal (they/them), a banished assassin from the RRPG game; Ponmalar (they/them), an archer with a prosthetic leg from the RRPG game; Lamis (she/they) from the RRPG game, a priest who works with Janai’s brother; Feathershawl (they/them) a mysterious Moonshadow elf with strong magic and a cornerstone character of  the RRPG game; Kazi (they/them), Amaya’s Sign Language Interpreter and member of the court; Needa (they/them), a mapmaker from the RRPG game; Polizi (they/them), an elven storyteller from the RRPG game; and last but not least, Terry (he/him) who is canonically transgender and a main cast member going forward!
