Tfw you want to write fic for a hella obscure pulp story, but it isn’t even available online, so now you gotta figure out someway to get it online, so that any prospective readers will actually be able to have some fucking context. 😂😂😂

#personal #fic rambles #?#it's the same author who wrote ''tonight you're mine!''#aka: the surprisingly sexy persuasion-esque second-chance romance story #anyway this other one is kind of a fake dating situation (actually fake marriage)#between two characters who have a hella complicated and convoluted relationship #and there's a weird power dynamic at work (which the story actually addresses at least in passing which is super unusual for the era)#basically the upper-class hero is financing the lower-class heroine's musical education (she's determined to be an opera singer)#and she's living at his apartment but not with him? like he's staying elsewhere whenever he's in town but he still has a key to the place #and his younger brother was previously infatuated with the heroine and wanted to elope with her but the hero broke that up #so like there's this weird tension between them where she kind of hates him but is determined to use him for all he's worth #but then she ends up falling in love with him and he with her #but he's determined to keep his emotional distance because of those power dynamics (which means mutual pining!)#and SHE'S LITERALLY LIVING IN HIS APARTMENT #anyway the fake marriage stuff comes later but all i can think about is how maybe one day he walks in just as she gets out of the shower???#also: box seats at the opera
