you guys have no idea how much joy and warmth thinking about creating fanart for maya and the three causes me. in my culture we also have alamats and stories about how the sun and moon came to be! the patterns that maya and the three have drawn on their palaces and celestial bodies (and their bodies and faces as well) are very similar to those on ours!

i am so glad that nowadays there's media and characters and designs that are so similar to my own culture! it makes me want to cry out of happiness!! i love that cultures like these are being given more attention nowadays, and even though I'm not amazing at detailing, I'll try my best when drawing the characters of Maya and The Three!!!!!!
