It's almost comically frustrating how Konami just casually throws in connections between the various big lore archetypes; we had Duel Terminal connected to the more "generic" (read: massively convoluted and interconnected series of seemingly unrelated monsters that explicitly contains dimension hopping shenanigans) card pool via the Charmers, Dracoslayer connected to Duel Terminal via Zefra Metaltron (who still has yet to actually be explained in a Master Guide or Valuable Book!), we have World Legacy almost definitely connected to Duel Terminal because Avida and the World Gears take so many visual cues (and naming conventions if you dig deep enough) from the Qliphorts and Sophia/Tierra, and now they're just casually calling Albaz and Aluber's power "Dragon Alchemy", something that - assuming that translation is entirely intentional - ties The Abyss lore directly with Dracoslayer, and all the connections that entails. Yu-Gi-Oh card lore is fuckin wild.

Palette Challenge 3: The Search for Art!
I got this one the other day, and there was no follow up with a character, so I picked Ferrijit, because I wanted to draw some Abyss Lore. I’m really happy with how her ears came out, I was trying to make a bit more sense of their placement than just sitting them on top of her head.

Which archetype is your favorite in terms of playstyle synergy with it's art design?
I think the Albaz lore did alot of cool stuff with conveying story via effect text, like Dogmatika representing an oppressive religious order via the use of extra deck hate, which, using extra deck monsters for costs kinda also hints at them using Albaz, or rather the source of Albaz, as the source of their powers.
Likewise Despia being a fusion archetype immediately sets up the connection to Albaz even before the Branded Fusion half of the deck was revealed.
Tri-Brigade using graveyard banishing to to summon can maybe represent guerilla warfare tactics, it is a bit of a stretch but I'd like to think it's there.
Though my favorite one there is probably springans loading themselves into their bigger monsters and firing off by literally attaching themselves to the xyz monsters for effects.

Branded in Central Dogmatika
“If you Special Summon 1 Ritual Monster (and no other cards) by a Spell Card or effect (except during the Damage Step): You can look at either player’s Extra Deck, and send 1 monster from it to the GY. If you Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster (and no other cards) by a Spell Card or effect (except during the Damage Step): You can target that monster; for the rest of this turn, it gains ATK equal to its original ATK, also it can only attack Attack Position monsters your opponent controls. You can only use each effect of ‘Branded in Central Dogmatika’ once per turn.”

WHAT YU-GI-OH! DECK WOULD YOUR MUSE PLAY? / accepting!
Ree plays BRANDED DESPIA!!
[I thought very hard about this since Ree is such a nuanced character full of potential, and I eventually landed on the Branded Despia archetype! This deck typically revolves around the FALLEN OF ALBAZ, an exiled dragon child with mysterious abilities, including the ability to transform into various powerful dragon forms. Albaz is a main protagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh!'s most complex card story to date [lore video here], and the main plot involves Albaz encountering a found family of outcasts [sound familiar?] and fighting back against the evil Despians, an unknown invading group that wants to use Albaz's dragon transformation abilities for their own sinister purposes.
Throughout the wide-spanning adventure and resulting conflicts, Albaz makes friends from all over the world but also nearly gets corrupted by the Despians and experiences tremendous loss. Will Albaz continue to fight for their newfound family and friends, or will the dragon child finally give in to the Despians and their brainwashing rituals...?
I think the themes of found family, adventure, realizing one's potential and choosing one's own destiny are present in both Ree and Albaz's stories. In the game, Albaz has the ability to summon many different dragons, thus making Branded Despia an extremely aggressive deck with powerful boss monsters. However, this deck can really fold in on itself if the player shows their hand too early and puts all their monsters out on the field right away. It takes a patient, controlled pilot (and a lot of experience) to realize the full potential of these cards!]
