“Total drama is good” “Total Drama is bad” idk man I think Total Drama has about 169 episodes and over 100 characters and hits on a variety of genres and has many different plot threads and themes and relationships and challenges and lenses to interpret it through and things you could change or expand upon. So I think it depends on what you’re talking about actually

7 takeaways from the Saints' 33-14 loss to the Panthers
The Carolina Panthers defeated a makeshift New Orleans Saints team 33-14 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Sunday (Dec. 30).
The loss dropped the Saints' record to 13-3 and prevented them from securing the best regular-season record in club history. The Saints also went 13-3 in 2009 and 2011.
On the bright side, the loss means the Saints lost to the same three teams this season as they did when they won the Super Bowl in 2009: Carolina; Dallas; and Tampa Bay.
A look at my takeaways from the game:
1. The defensive performance was ugly
Yes, it was nothing more than a glorified exhibition game but the Saints starting defense played the entire first half and its performance left a lot to be desired. Panthers third-string quarterback Kyle Allen drove Carolina to three touchdowns and a field goal in four first-half series, taking a commanding 23-0 lead at halftime. The Panthers outgained the Saints 251-95 in total yards and 20-6 first downs in the first half. The defensive unit is certainly not going to enjoy reviewing the game tape of this one, assuming they actually watch it. It was an ugly effort by any standards, even if the Saints were simply going through the motions.
Tumblr media
2. Injury scares made for uneasy moments
The Saints' worst fears were realized in the first half when Sheldon Rankins, Alex Okafor and Andrus Peat all went down with injuries. Fortunately, none of the maladies appeared to be serious. Rankins, who was injured on the first defensive snap, returned to action several plays later. Okafor also returned to play a series later. Peat's injury was to his hand. He did not return and was replaced by Derek Newton at left tackle. Worst, starting cornerback Marshon Lattimore limped to the sideline in the second quarter and did not return to the game. A team spokesman designated his playing status as a coach's decision.
Tumblr media
3. Teddy Bridgewater's debut was underwhelming
Saints fans eagerly anticipated a first glance at backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater,  but the 5-year veteran struggled in his official Saints debut. To be fair, Bridgewater played behind a makeshift offensive line for most of the game and rarely had time to go trough his progressions and deliver the ball downfield. But even when he did have time, he struggled to find a rhythm and consistently move the offense. On the positive side, Bridgewater showed excellent command of the offense and flashed some impressive scrambling skills in the teeth of a consistent Carolina pass rush. Still, Bridgewater could not have been happy with his performance. His final numbers, 14 of 22 for 118 yards with one touchdown and one interception, were underwhelming to say the least. In fact, his performance further bolstered Saints fans opinions of and appreciation for Drew Brees.
Tumblr media
4. Kyle Allen looked good -- real good
The Panthers' third-string quarterback didn't play like a rookie making his first NFL start. Before leaving the game with a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter, the Houston product showed excellent mobility, arm strength and decision-making in leading the Carolina offense. His 53-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to Curtis Samuel was a thing of beauty. His final numbers were impressive: 16-27, 228 yards, 2 TDs, plus 19 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.  Cam Newton remains the Panthers' franchise quarterback but Carolina has to feel good about its depth behind him with Allen and Taylor Heinicke, a pair of good, young athletes on the roster. Allen was extremely impressive.
Tumblr media
5. Michael Thomas' record wasn't worth the risk
I realize Michael Thomas wanted to break Joe Horn's record for receiving yards in a season. But I have to seriously question playing him into the fourth quarter to get it. Thomas is too valuable to the Saints' team to risk getting him injured in a meaningless game, especially after Carolina had taken a 30-0 lead. Thomas finished with 5 catches for 29 yards to break Horn's mark of 1,399 yards set in 2004. I'm glad Thomas was able to break Horn's mark, especially while the Saints Hall of Famer was in the building, but the milestone was not worth the injury risk.
Tumblr media
6. Deuce McAllister's record is safe for now
Mark Ingram entered the game needing 118 yards to become the Saints' all-time rushing leader. He rambled for 16 yards on the Saints' first offensive snap but finished with 28 yards on five carries, before taking a seat in the second half. A free agent at the end of the season, Ingram's future with the Saints is unclear. Since postseason games do not count in a player's statistical total, he'll finish the season in second place on the Saints' all-time rushing list with 6,007 yards. Deuce McAllister's remains atop the list with 6,096 yards.
Tumblr media
7. At least the Saints scored
Tre'Quan Smith's 9-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter helped the Saints avoid a shutout and maintain one of the most impressive streaks in club history. The Saints have now scored in 272 consecutive games, a streak that dates to 2002. Its the fifth longest scoring streak in NFL history.

Ramblings: Schmaltz Signs, Ovechkin Gets His 50th, Rakell Coming On Late (Mar 31)
First off, thank you to Dobber himself for covering for me yesterday while I had a fantasy baseball draft. I appreciate being able to let my mind unwind after a three-hour auction draft.
To any “hockey purists” who are wondering why I would do such a thing, yes, I do play other fantasy sports. I am of course a hockey fan and it is the sport I follow most closely, but I’m also a fantasy sports enthusiast. I need to be engaged in fantasy sports 12 months of the year, and by that I mean active and playing in a league. Just as you might watch or play other sports or activities during hockey’s offseason, the same is true with fantasy sports. That’s how I got into baseball as a boy – I needed to follow (and eventually play) a summer sport after hockey went into offseason mode. I like and need to reflect on the past season and also plan ahead to next season, but there’s only so much of that I can do. My competitive nature needs its continuous fix.
All right, now that I’ve gotten that non-serious rant out of the way, let’s move into the business of Saturday.
The Coyotes have signed forward Nick Schmaltz to a seven-year extension. According to Cap Friendly, the new contract has an unconfirmed cap hit of $5.85 million. This might seem like a lengthy extension for a player that has cracked 50 points just once in three seasons, but remember that the Coyotes coveted him enough to pay a significant price (Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini) just to acquire him. Regardless, he had fit in well with his new team (14 points in 17 games) before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Even though the trade may appear heavily weighted in Chicago’s favor, the trade is one of those that could still work out well for both teams. Salary cap owners would likely prefer to see more sustained production before investing, though.
*
In what could be his last start in Boston, Roberto Luongo stopped 30 of 31 shots he faced to backstop the Panthers to a 4-1 win. It was nice to see Lu stand out in this game, particularly since the TD Garden has been a house of horrors for him (think the 2011 Stanley Cup Final when he was on the Canucks). Speaking of the Canucks, they have to be hoping that Luongo either extends his career or goes on LTIR with something that’s been ailing him this season. They face a significant cap recapture penalty should Luongo announce his retirement.
Evgenii Dadonov continues to pile up the points. With two goals on Saturday, Dadonov is up to 19 points his last 13 games. Linemates have a lot to do with it, as Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau have also been piling up the points. Dadonov is only two goals shy of 30 and two points shy of 70.
*
The Cam Talbot era in Philly might be short-lived, but at least he made another start on Saturday (just his second since being acquired). Talbot allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Flyers’ 5-2 loss to Carolina. Now that the Flyers have been eliminated, the Flyers might start Talbot one or two more times as they play out the string. With this being the second consecutive season that Talbot has posted a goals-against average over 3.00, he probably won’t be considered a starter anywhere. Instead, expect him to land as a backup or at best a timeshare somewhere.
*
You can preorder your Playoff Draft List here, and it will be ready for download on Friday April 5. Remember that it is fully customizable, which is great to account for the many possible scenarios that could occur as far as playoff teams advancing.
*
The first of Alex Ovechkin’s two goals on Saturday was his 50th of the season, which makes him the first player to reach that milestone in 2018-19. The Great 8 now has eight 50-goal seasons, matching his jersey number. Only Wayne Gretzky and Mike Bossy have more. So if the 33-year-old Ovechkin still has another 50-goal season or two left in the tank, he would end up at the top of the list below! His current total is still a particularly impressive achievement, considering that both Gretzky and Bossy played when scoring was at an all-time high while Ovie has played when 50-goal scorers have been unicorns.
#ALLCAPS Alex Ovechkin records his 8th career 50-goal season, 1 shy of tying the all-time mark pic.twitter.com/J8uuySpVeX
— Sportsnet Stats (@SNstats) March 31, 2019
Ovechkin also had an impressive game for multicategory leagues, recording a plus-3 with eight shots on goal and four hits. Over his career, Ovie has arguably been the top player in leagues that count categories beyond goals and assists.
Ovechkin can provide much of the credit for his career success to Nicklas Backstrom, who along with T.J. Oshie also scored two goals and added an assist. Oshie has been particularly hot recently with ten points over his last nine games.
*
If you missed out on Quinn Hughes, another defenseman picked in the first round made his NHL debut on Saturday. In his first NHL game, Dante Fabbro skated 16 minutes and took three shots on goal, although he was held without a point. Fabbro was paired with veteran Dan Hamhuis on what would be the Preds’ third pairing. The former BCHL and NCAA standout won't be given the same clear path to an awaiting opportunity as Hughes has, given the presence of the big 4 on Nashville’s blueline. Keeper owners will need to exercise patience. You can check out Fabbro’s Dobber Prospects profile here.
Viktor Arvidsson ties the Predators' single-season goal record with his 33rd.
— Adam Vingan (@AdamVingan) March 31, 2019
I had to look this up, but apparently it’s true. The Preds have never had anyone score more than 33 goals in a season, which could be the result of the 20-year-old franchise playing many seasons under defensive-minded Barry Trotz during the dead puck era. To boot, Viktor Arvidsson has scored these 33 goals in just 55 games, so he could have obliterated this record had he played a full season.
Cam Atkinson scored his 40th and 41st goals of the season, which also ties a franchise record. At least the Jackets don’t stand to lose Atkinson in the offseason, as he is signed all the way into the 2024-25 season.
Artemi Panarin might not be scoring many goals lately (just two this month), but he’s still been piling up the assists. Panarin picked up four assists on Saturday, giving him seven points and a plus-8 ranking over his past four games.
With a goal on Saturday, David Savard now has goals in back-to-back games and four goals over his past eight games. This after scoring four in his first 70 games. I made him a low-key end-of-week waiver-wire add last week, so maybe you were lucky enough to add him and stick with him all week.
*
Dustin Byfuglien finally returned to the Jets’ lineup on Saturday, logging 24 minutes of icetime. Big Buff had missed the past month and a half with an ankle injury. He has been held to just 38 games this season, so it appears that playing a physical style for a decade has finally caught up to him. He could be in for a bounceback next season if he can stay healthy most of the time, but I’d be weary of drafting him as high as he has been in recent seasons. He averaged as the 40th pick in Yahoo drafts last fall, but I’d suggest waiting at least another round or two for the multicategory beast next season.
*
John Tortorella may not have had much faith in Anthony Duclair. However, with two goals on Saturday, Duclair is now up to 18 goals on the season. New Senators’ coach Marc Crawford has his team playing well lately, as they have now won three of their past four games. Duclair has benefitted from Crawford’s system (or maybe simply from being out of Torts’ doghouse), as he has scored seven goals and 13 points in 17 games as a Senator. The majority of that production is recent, with nine points over his last eight games. Hey, the Sens play four games next week. It couldn’t hurt that much to take a one-week flier to finish the season.
*
It’s been a down year for Rickard Rakell, but he might still make it to 20 goals. Rakell scored three second-period goals in the Ducks’ 5-1 win over Edmonton. It’s not the 34 goals like last season or the 33 he scored the season before, but Rakell has piled up seven goals over his last five games. He was a buy-low candidate through his goalless droughts of 14, 9, 8, and 6 games, up to the point in which he had just nine goals on the season earlier this month. To justify that buy-low, his shooting percentage was at a highly unlucky 6.3%, but it is now up to a more respectable 9.6% and could still climb further.
In terms of what you can do going forward, look to Rakell as a rebound candidate as he will probably slip in next season’s drafts based on his overall numbers. He was drafted at around the 70th pick in this season’s Yahoo drafts, but next season he could provide great value if he is drafted outside of the top 100.
*
Feels like every Sharks game has had an Evander Kane goal and two or three Evander Kane minors. What a season.
— Travis Yost (@travisyost) March 31, 2019
(Looks at Evander Kane boxscore): a goal, five shots, and nine hits. No penalty minutes though. Kane has found a home in San Jose, currently just one goal shy of his first 30-goal season. Kane is not an elite scorer, but he is a player that you can move up your rankings if you league counts any of shots on goal, hits, and penalty minutes. Kane is a top-15 option in shots (259), a top-50 option in hits (163), and he leads the league with 151 penalty minutes.
Just as the Bruins and Leafs are set to face each other in the first round, the Sharks and Golden Knights are also on a collision course for a first-round matchup. I think Vegas has built the type of team that could return to the Stanley Cup Final, but they might also not get past the first round if they have to play San Jose.
*
This stat about Jacob Markstrom means absolutely nothing in fantasy leagues, but interesting anyway. I noticed that four of these five goalies play for non-playoff teams. So maybe there’s a correlation between not being able to score in the shootout (which forces your goalie to do more work) and losing games? Or having to play in more shootouts because your team can’t score? All of these goalie’s teams are in the bottom third of the league in terms of goals for per game.
maybe the craziest stat from Saturday night, #Canucks Markstrom has now faced twice as many shootout attempts this year as next closest #NHL goalie pic.twitter.com/C1O21ydhBG

Bengals oust Ravens from playoff hunt with 31-27 victory
BALTIMORE/December 31, 2017 (AP)(STL.News) — The crowd was yelling as the clock was winding down. The Baltimore Ravens and their fans were poised for a New Year’s Eve celebration, long before the clock struck midnight.
And then, an instant later, silence.
There would be no football in January for the Ravens, who were ousted from the playoff hunt in stunning fashion Sunday when Andy Dalton threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Boyd with 44 seconds left to give the Cincinnati Bengals a 31-27 victory.
Needing a win to advance to the postseason, Baltimore (9-7) rallied from a 14-point deficit to take its first lead with 8:48 left. But Dalton put together a magnificent 90-yard drive in the closing minutes before hitting Boyd over the middle on a fourth-and-12 play.
“To battle our way back the way we did, and then not to be able to finish and win the game is about as tough as it can be,” coach John Harbaugh said.
Boyd avoided a tackle by Maurice Canady and raced to the end zone to give Cincinnati (7-9) the victory in what might have been its final game under coach Marvin Lewis.
Baltimore entered knowing it could have also gotten into the postseason if either Tennessee or Buffalo tied or lost. Both those teams won, leaving the Ravens with no margin for error on a frigid and windy day.
“Nobody’s happy,” safety Eric Weddle said. “We didn’t make the plays. We weren’t good enough.”
After getting off to a horrid start, the Ravens appeared in position to end their two-year hiatus from the postseason. Plenty of players stepped up in their time of need: Chris Moore had a pivotal kickoff return, Alex Collins delivered a huge fourth-down touchdown run and quarterback Joe Flacco bounced back from a horrible 4-for-18 start.
Flacco’s 6-yard touchdown pass to Mike Wallace made it 27-24, but all of that was rendered meaningless after Dalton put an appropriate finish on a game filled with huge plays.
Dalton also threw a pair of touchdown passes to Tyler Kroft.
Whether it was Lewis’ last game on the sideline after a 15-year run with the Bengals will likely be determined on Monday. If it was the finale, it was a heck of a finish to a tenure in which Lewis went 125-112-3 in the regular season and 0-7 in the playoffs.
Asked if he would like a shot at Year 16, Lewis replied, “Yes, I want to coach this team.”
But he added: “It’s more complicated than that.”
He is expected to meet with owner Mike Brown on Monday.
The Ravens were down 17-3 late in the first half when Moore rambled 87 yards with a kickoff before being stopped near the left sideline with 8 seconds left. He finished what he started on the next play, catching a 6-yard touchdown pass.
Thus, Baltimore trailed by only 17-10 at the break despite a 268-61 deficit in yardage and 16-2 disparity in first downs.
The Ravens took that momentum into the third quarter, moving deftly downfield before Moore juggled a pass that ended up in the hands of Cincinnati’s Darqueze Dennard, who sprinted down the left sideline 89 yards for a touchdown .
Trailing again by two TDs, Baltimore faced a fourth-and-3 from the Cincinnati 17. Collins took a pitchout designed to go around left end, reversed his field and ran around a block by Flacco to get into the right corner of the end zone.
That set the stage for a tense fourth quarter in a game Cincinnati dominated at the outset.
The Bengals moved 78 yards on eight plays following the opening kickoff and took a 7-0 lead on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Dalton to Kroft. That represented more points than Cincinnati scored in the first game between the teams, a 20-0 Baltimore victory in the season opener.
The Ravens’ first five possessions produced several dropped passes, one first down and five punts.
CHILLIN’ TO THE MAXX
Ravens tight end Maxx Williams went through preliminary warm ups without a shirt, even though the temperature was 19 degrees. He did, however, wear a knit hat and sweatpants.
INJURY UPDATE
Bengals: LB Jordan Evans (head, shoulder) left in the third quarter. … WR Josh Malone (ankle) did not play in the second half. … S Shawn Williams (back) left in the third quarter.
Ravens: Moore sustained a concussion in the third quarter and did not return. … WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) was inactive for a second straight week. … Ravens DB Anthony Levine (foot) left in the second quarter.

Taps mic. Gidgette should’ve broken up. Their relationship in the Aftermaths was clearly not healthy and not in a way that was enjoyable to watch. It clearly made everyone including them uncomfortable. I think it would’ve been good for Geoff and Bridgette to separately gain self awareness and grow as people. They both need to date around. They reek of high school sweethearts destined to go through a nasty divorce in a few years after enduring a miserable joint living situation where neither of them communicate effectively because both are afraid of change but also not afraid enough of confrontation to avoid passive aggressive conflict. I am so serious I think being bisexual in college would fix so many of their problems.

Priyaleb is bad because it takes up too much screen time and both of their individual personalities disappear when they interact in a failed attempt to make them seem compatible. But Priyaleb is The Worst because it’s so boring compared to every other possible nonsensical het* ship we could’ve gotten. Romantic Mipper would’ve felt off to me but Millie finds him interesting and Ripper’s willing to help her. Emmaleb seems boring but Emma could’ve gotten the handsome sweet partner she deserves. Chasiya would’ve been bad but it would’ve been so funny. Damiya would’ve been kinda boring but Priya and Damien are capable of having human conversations. I don’t like Juliayne but golden retriever bf x Brooke Hayes LPS Popular cat girlfriend is a classic dynamic. Emmayne is blonde x blonde but it would’ve given them both serious character development (probably). Damiemma…No complaints that sounds adorable. Nichamien is right there too, they’re buddies in canon, maybe they can kiss too?? MKaleb would’ve been funny. Zemma would’ve been fantastic. Zeeya (Pee) has so much potential guys the hurt/comfort the jealousy the misunderstanding of your own feelings. Damillie have interacted and they get along and now they have angst material. Scary Chase would’ve been funny. Scary Ripper would’ve been [funny]. Never forget what they took from you (possibility of less/no priyaleb screen time)

We don’t appreciate how funny the Mutant Maggots’ dynamic is on principle. Mean girlfail lesbian, army bro who pisses his pants every five minutes, 4’10” dude who knows physics and entomology and psychology but hasn’t touched grass before, ride-or-die Jersey Girl whose hair is solid glue and still looks good, tumblr girl with mythic RSD, and the most wet cat boy in the world are forced to be on the same team and rapidly flip between working together to dominate the game and having the craziest beef in the world, and they all come in 8th place or higher. And one of them wins the game and it is the last one of them you’d expect. I love them

I think Svetlana is the character ever. She’s a gymnast. She’s traumatized. She’s been in the olympics multiple times. She’s 16. She gets called a commie by an old man who is also her alter. She’s trans. She kicks ass at game show challenges. She just wants everyone to be happy. She agreed to a murder suicide pact. She’s the most reasonable person ever. She’s completely unhinged. She has vocal stims. She barely speaks any English. She’s funny as hell. She beat up her system’s host. She loves women. She was forced to do circus tricks for an evil twink. She makes lipstick just appear on her face when she fronts. She plays card games with that same old man and also a greaser who is also her alter in her free time. She had to sculpt fish out of butter. She’s literally so <3
