9. Favourite smell in the summer?
Summer blossoms and the ocean on a hot day. I also have this specific scent memory for Christmas/summer now, because my partner's mum burned this really nice candle over the holidays and now that's part of my summer memories.
30. Places that you find sacred?
Laying in my partner's lap shirtless while they rub my back.
Those five minutes in the car after getting home from a long day, but you sit there and let the song finish playing before you open the door.
The local botanic gardens in summer, sitting under trees that are hundreds of years old, watching bees, listening to the birds.
The ocean. I had never spent time near an ocean until moving to Aotearoa now the beach is five minutes away and it calls to me. I have never felt more at peace than when I just sit and stare at the waves cresting.
The bathtub. I am a Lush aficionado, so I take lonnnggg baths (like 2-4 hours long) with bath bombs, bubbles, candles, face mask, the works. If I can't get tot eh ocean, the bath is a close second to help ground me when I'm frazzled.
55. Favourite fairy tale?
The Stinky Cheeseman (and other fairly stupid tales). I grew up loving this book and just a couple of weeks ago we checked it out from the library so I could read it to Doom Them for the first time. It's still just ass stupid and silly as it was when I was a child.
66. Favourite Flowers?
Stargazer lilies and purple Irises -- I have tattoos of both.
94. Favourite season?
Absolutely nothing beats summer in Aotearoa. I've never been a summer person, I hate hot weather, but even in the heat here, there's just something magical about summer. Doom Them has summer off, so we spend all our time together. Plus, it's the holidays here too, so we see the family tons. Never thought I'd have a family that loved me like this one does, so yeah -- I reckon summer holidays are my favourite.
98. Favourite historical era?
I don't really have one? I guess the 80s- early 90s because they're nostalgic. Love listening to 80s/90s music and I also love the fashion of the 80s. I'm a huge fan of neons and loud patters and my current mullet really screams 'I'm an 80s baby'
