ok so i've decided to rank every single glee song. i love making lists and rankings, and i prefer to have physical objects to move around when i do that, so i've cut up a bunch of little papers to write the titles of the songs onto so i can arrange them into little piles etc.

anyway, i've been at it for almost two hours. these are just the songs for season 1.

i haven't even started the ranking yet im just writing down the songs. this is gonna take months lol

It may be somewhat surprising to note that i only got one ink today, but i did as well get a fancy pen. So i decided, since it is a pretty great dip pen, to try out all of my inks.

Things are progressing smoothely, details are being added, and i bought three meters of plastic chain that will hopefully be enough to wrap the blade in it.

I have a kind of mental block where I don't like to talk too much about works in progress, because it makes me get all self-conscious and stuck, and then I never finish the thing at all. But the project I've been working on for the past month or so is getting close enough that I really think it might be done soon, and I'm tentatively allowing myself to be a little bit excited about that.

One thing I've learned is that if you're building something out of papier-mâché, and it gets those concave buckled places the way it always seems to, you can make horrible mush by mixing methyl cellulose paste with dryer lint, and use it as a sort of patching compound. There is still the question of whether the lint-goop will also shrink a lot as it dries, and cause further problems, but so far it seems like it's working.

It does, however, make the project look like it's growing mold.
