A lunch box post after a long time πΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊ Today's Lunch ( box) inspiration is a one pot dish - Potato Peas Masala Biriyani with π
besan raita ( My experimentation of a dish that is a fusion of tomato raita and Kadi) and potato chips . Packing for teenagers is slightly tricky π¬π¬π¬ I prefer to give fruits , cut fresh at home rather than packing it for school . As it is really cold here, I pack the lunch in these convenient boxes ( lunch box set from @alltimeplastics )later go into the trendy insulated bag keeping it warm till lunch time. The colourful table mat ( thin and foldable) comes along with the tiffin box ( the idea was loved by my daughterβ€οΈ) . The bag is not too big, and easily fitted into the school bag . For Potato Masala Biryani : I used 2 potatoes, 1/2 cup fresh peas, 2 onions ( thinly sliced),2 green chillies, 2 garlic pods ( grated) , 1/2 " ginger ( grated) , 1/2 teaspoon garam masala , 1 piece each of whole spices, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder , 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, salt to taste, cilantro/mint leaves for garnish . Method : I heated a pressure cooker with oil+ghee, tempered with whole spices, ginger garlic and then added onions . When they turned brown added potatoes and peas and fried them over low flame , adding salt and other masala powders . Once they were cooked, add water, rice and pressure cook upto 3 whistles and switch off .This will be our lunch todayππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Crawling back to normalcy πΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈπΆπ»ββοΈ

Good evening all πΈπΈπΈπΈπΈπΈπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊπΊ Today's breakfast/lunch/ dinner inspiration is this Farm Fresh Gobi( cauliflower) Paratha with loads of fresh red chillies πΆ πΆπΆπΆ that are now in season . I served it along with Lasooni Bathua ( winter greensπππ)pickled onions and achaar. Cold and windy days and even colder nights demanded this dinner . I am not a big fan of extreme cold weather , but the best thing about Delhi winters are the freshest vegetables and fruitsπππππππππππππππ₯π₯π½π₯π₯ππ
πΆπ₯π π° They remain fresh even when stored outside without refrigerating for a couple of days . Cauliflower is my most favourite among all β€οΈβ€οΈ ππ.
