I think life is fundamentally difficult. Hectic and brutal—it doesn’t spare an inch, and yet what always gets me to calm is the notion that there is and always will be art. The act of creation in a time of destruction is an act of defiance and an act of hope. Many people can put it better than I can, but art is constant, tiny little explosions in the sky. No matter the grievances you face, art is always waiting for you. A couch to sink into until the next morning.

I knew I had to use this concept but with Gene. I like to imagine that in this scenario, he's around high school age, and he got picked to be a Troy Bolton from High School Musical kind of character in the school musical, and my OC, Alexis, is absolutely losing their mind. What Alexis says is taken directly from the lovely Jock Tina piece.

Here I go again spouting my Gene with a ponytail propaganda because I think he'd look adorable with one, okay??

Also, Gene is not married already! That ring on his finger is just for fashion 😌

Oh, and Gene's color palette was inspired by Lily Belcher's color palette (blue, yellow, and green) which also happens to be Tina, Gene, and Louise's main colors too. He wanted to remind himself of his siblings :3

And here's a watermarked version with a slightly different look color-wise! I'm actually not sure which coloring style I prefer more.

sapnap is playing gotham knights and i legally must comment and give brief meta on it since he said dick is his favourite and didn’t even Glance at the other character options he just. listen i questioned it at first because jason has a red motif and i kind of just assumed sapnap would want guns and maximum violence; but like. actually thinking about it dick is the acrobat and performer, the flips are FUN! isn’t that it, isn’t sapnap just going for the most fun option for himself. idk it’s possible the sponsorship makes him play as nightwing it’s possible it isn’t his choice at all but there is something so almost-tangibly sapnap about his already grayson-esque personal sentiments towards the different characters in game and his repeated loyalty to picking nightwing in the future

truly cant get over the fact my parents just said this is my regular neurotypical child who only wants to wear the same fairy outfit (complete with wings) every single day, refuses to put their shoes on in the snow because they don't feel cold but won't leave the house if "the sun is too bright", hates to be touched, has dramatically above average literacy but underdeveloped motor skills compared to their peers, only has one friend, wants to watch the same film every single day, will only own items that are purple, collects teabags, draws pictures of the virgin mary over and over in their free time, has earthshattering tantrums at the supermarket for no reason, cries because of the smell of a yoghurt, takes literally 90 minutes to finish a meal at school etc. like that was so brave of them.....
