see, the thing about GO s2 is that I genuinely believe it needed another go over in the script editing/ final cut stages because watching it as a whole makes the story feel so bloated and meandering - the tone is massively off from the very tightly written first season, lacking focus and not quite capturing the same wit or wisdom that the OG series and the book achieved

but then I see a little moment on a beloved mutual’s gif set and my whole heart goes 🥺😭💕🥰

#yeah I came away a little disappointed #I kept waiting for it to just … get started?#it’s very clearly a labour of love from the whole team #and the response it’s got overall shows it must be doing something right #but idk #it didn’t feel like a sequel to s1 #almost like it wasn’t confidant enough in how they’d already established a and cs relationship before #it repeated itself (and even contradicted/ retconned itself) ALOT #it was just …. yeah I’m not sure #too many ‘hey I recognise that reference’ moments and not enough plot #also the pacing is … off #but the chemistry was great #the ending was perfect for the versions of aziraphale and Crowley they’ve written for tv #and there’s tons of very sweet romantic moments with great craft behind them #it’s nice to see a queer interpretation of a 90s cult classic get taken seriously and sincerely!#I’ll definitely watch s3 and the fandom response has been great!#maybe it’ll grow on me 🥰#spoilers #good omens #good omens s2 #shut up min
