On your first few lives you have a clear head. You know your abilities and maybe even have an idea for a build. But as the deaths stack up it gets.. blurry. It can be anything from hallucinations to nausea, confusion, and just forgetfulness. It wasn’t obvious at first, just CPK being a little off but when Lizzie stood in full daylight as a zombie, or when Scott forgot he had gills as a merling it got worrying. The world was blurring and twisting, and everyone was getting reckless -🐝

Lizzie's memories are kind of jumbled from dying in rapid succession. Like she can remember the others' names but not her relationship with any of them (RIP Joel). She also can't remember stuff from her earlier lives at all really.

Callum is also having memory issues but it's not as severe (yet). He mostly just has trouble remembering stuff from when he was a giant or elytrian.

Dear god the thought of Lizzie not remembering Joel again is..ow.

Okay more soul headcanons!

Souls have marks from previous deaths. Like Lizzie's has two black splotches from her void deaths. Lots of burn and explosion scars. Callum's starvation death shows by his soul being a bit smaller. They have cracks from fall damage or ramming into something or iron golems in a couple cases. IDK how kinetic energy would show. Death by Enigma Lizzie makes the soul look a bit...warped. If that makes sense.

Whether or not the scars show up in subsequent lives depends on some factors, like trauma and attachment to that origin. Like Lizzie and Callum won't have every scar because they keep dying so quickly but Scott and Katherine have burn scars. And Scott is 100% going to show the physical results of death by enigma.
