#off season [ooc]#in case you didn’t guess from the totally out of place posts I’m watching rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#which is the first time I’ve engaged with anything tmnt since I was a kid watching reruns of the 87 series and the first 2 movies#it was never my favorite thing but I enjoyed it#I mostly just started watching rottmnt out of bored curiosity and although I enjoyed the art style; the turtles’ personalities; and the 1st#episode’s plot#I honestly wasn’t sure if I was going to continue b/c the episodes after that had pretty inconsequential conflicts#I was like ‘yeah this is just looney tunes with more steps’#but I kept reading to just stick with it; it’ll get better#and so far it is!#im about halfway through the first season and nowww the important questions are finally getting asked and I’m into it#also I reaaaally hate how dirty they did splinter’s character at this point - he was a stoic but kind mentor in the movies and now he’s a#total dick - but I’ve also been assured that changes later on so I’m keeping an open mind#yeah so basically:#go ninja go ninja go
