wednesday: who could the monster be??? me, episode one: it’s thornhill. wednesday: so mysterious.... so strange.... is it xavier??? is it the psychiatrist???? me, every episode: it’s thornhill. she’s too nice. the mayor recognized her and she lied about the drink she always comes in to order that was her excuse for him recognizing her. she set the revenge plot against gomez in motion after seeing him at the school for parents weekend. she just arrived at the school and she’s the normie sister of the weird psycho who tried to murder everyone. it’s thornhill. wednesday: i know who it is! me: thornhill wednesday: xavier! psychiatrist! me: no!!!! thornhill!!!!! thornhill: it is i, the master manipulator of the monster and the true villain! me: wow. so shocked. so surprise.

#im not trying 2 be mean but i very much clocked this in episode 1 #also clocked that the monster itself was probably either enid or the boyfriend #basically they pushed xavier WAY too hard like obvs wasn't him to the point where i doubted wednesday's investigative skills #things i liked: aesthetics and wednesday herself was stellar. the joke with the double snap was well timed. thing.#but yes it WAS a melodramatic weirdly plotted and unecessarily drawn out murder mystery #also like.... the characterization of morticia and gomez felt weird 2 me tbh #so much regret and remorse over an accidental murder???? couldnt be them #oh i also liked enid and wednesday and the boyfriend and wednesday lmao #i just want to put wednesday with happy dog people even if they turn out to be killers #weirdly also really liked xavier and wednesday........#oh!!!! gwendolyn christie being SO TALL in every shot was a bonus
