When uh… When you say Steddie is gonna be in the Winter Soldier Au, are we thinking as Falcon or are we thinking he’s Agent Carter? Like are we getting 40’s Steve and Eddie? There’s something dreamy about them in that era. But it would make for the worst angst that Eddie’s super old now…especially because they’re relationship, while budding in the 40s would have needed to be SO hidden, even more than the 80s. I mean it would probably mean they never did share a kiss, or do more than hand hold for brief seconds, unless they recklessly sought out hidden corners and broom closets… they totally would have if they didn’t tiptoe around like Steve and Peggy did.

Oh but then!!! the saved dance would hit SO MUCH HARDER because they would never have been able to dance in public, only tucked away and private, but now Steve is learning about the modern era and finding out they could dance to their hearts content without the repercussions of the 40s, and He wants so badly to dance with Eddie now that it’s ok to do so…

Now I’m in my feels…I want Eddie to miraculously poof into existence in the modern world so they can have their whirlwind romance, but man Agent Carter! Eddie fully in the 40s and is old now hits different. Sweet angst at its finest.

oooooh you know actually i wasn't even thinking about that....BUT NOW I AM.

specifically i'm thinking about that scene in The First Avenger when steve gets the shield for the first time and peggy shoots the shield (bc she's jealous lmao)....could totally see that with steve and eddie.

the winter soldier robin au deviates from mcu canon aha😅 BUT now you do have me thinking of like, specific moments in the agent carter series (i used to be obsessed with this series. you can check my agent carter tag on this blog LMAO) but specifically the moment at the end of 1x08 when she dumps steve's blood into the river and essentially lets him go to move on...

unfortunately, the steddie winter soldier au idea that i had was more or less winter soldier derivative. even more so than the winter soldier robin. from the quick notes i jotted down for it, basically, it's a kas eddie type of au where eddie is this 'winter soldier figure.' cue the: "who the hell is eddie?" but instead of a metal arm and a gun, it's a flash of fangs and claws and wings and rotting flesh. but steve's gonna fight for him. he's not gonna lose him again.

that's about all i have written down for the notes of that au, but hopefully i can flesh it out a bit more soon!

(oh, but i am thinking of The Knife Fight from winter soldier but with eddie and steve...hmm)

(again, i don't really write for steddie, but i adore the idea of 'died and came back a little fucked up' vs 'guy who won't give up and puts himself in danger regardless.)
