Bro there's an Indian temple inside a cave deep in the mountains of kashmir called amarnath in which, every year, 3 shivlings (Shiva linga, is an abstract or aniconic representation of the Hindu god Shiva in Shaivism. It is typically the primary murti or devotional image in Hindu temples dedicated to Shiva, also found in smaller shrines, or as self-manifested natural objects.) made entirely out of ice formed by small drops of rainwater let in by tiny holes and cracks in the ceiling that are naturally placed at such an angle to give shape to the shivling. These shivlings start forming around april/may but it takes months for the government to clear the path and thus the tourism season starts in july, and the shivlings automatically melt a month or so after. Thousands of people travel and hike to worship this place. Isn't that cool? Indian temples rock!

Delhi to Amarnath Yatra
Delhi Amarnath Yatra planning is made with advance preparation to enable a trouble-free religious pilgrimage. The sacred Hindu journey to Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu & Kashmir occurs between the months of June and August during the sacred Shravan month.
Before starting the yatra, pilgrims have to register online or at specific banks, submitting ID proof, a health certificate, and photographs. Registration is available for people aged 13–75 years, with the exception of pregnant women after six weeks.
Various travelling options are accessible from Delhi. Pilgrims can take flight to Srinagar, after which they need to go to the base camps at Baltal or Pahalgam via road. An alternative is also to take train to Jammu and then move by road. For convenience and group travel, it is also a common trend to hire a Tempo Traveller from Delhi. Helicopter rides are available from Neelgrath and Pahalgam, which will cut down a major part of the trekking to the cave.
Two major trekking trails are there: the Pahalgam route (39 km), scenic but longer, and the Baltal route (14 km), shorter and steeper, suitable for experienced and healthy trekkers.
During Delhi to Amarnath Yatra there are en route tent and lodge facilities and booking in advance is recommended. Medical facilities and safety measures are taken by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board at major points.
Essentially the Amarnath Yatra from Delhi is not just a test of stamina but a religious odyssey. With proper planning and a suitable travel option pilgrims can embark on this sacred journey with faith and confidence.

Which is the Best Route for Amarnath?
Amarnath Yatra is one of India's most revered pilgrimages attracting thousands of pilgrims every year to the sacred Amarnath Cave in the Himalayas. Selecting the best route for this yatra is essential for a safe and rewarding experience. Two most common routes to the Amarnath cave are the Pahalgam route and Baltal route. The Pahalgam route, which begins at the classic base camp in Chandanwari, is approximately 36–48 km long and is regarded as more gradual and scenic. It is the best route for people who want a gradual, comfortable trek with stops in between. It typically takes 3-5 days to finish. On another hand the Baltal route is shorter measuring around 14 km but steeper and physically challenging. It's ideally suited for experienced trekkers or time-pressed pilgrims. Most take the return journey on the same day through this route. Both routes have helicopter services, which provide a quicker means for elderly persons and people with physical disabilities. Your preference is based on your fitness level, availability of time, and travel interests. Although both roads are properly handled by the authorities during the yatra period it is necessary to register early and observe safety protocols. Confused about planning Delhi to Amarnath Yatra? Begin by reserving your travel to Jammu or Srinagar, getting your yatra permit and opting for your preferred route .Pahalgam for convenience or Baltal for quickness.
Regardless of which route you follow the spiritual gain is immeasurable.
