raised by a single mother, milo grew up in england, always drifting between cities and towns before settling in london until the age of nine when his mother moved them both state side to be closer to her family again after struggling to raise a child as a single parent — only to lose custody of him a year and a half later after failing to hold down a job due to a drug addicition.

milo grew up in foster care after that, bouncing around families and drifting between foster homes before finally settling with a family who was interested in more than just the money that fostering him would line their pockets. he remained with this family until his late teens, when he developed the same restless feet that had plagued his mother and drove her to constantly move them around.

he moved around the states for a couple of years; crashing in motels, sleeping on strangers couches he had found advertised on facebook or craigslist while bouncing between jobs until one of them landed him in san amore

milo has lived in san amore for eight years now, which is arguably the longest he has stayed in one place at a time. he feels at home in the small town, having made roots (  the good and bad kind )  over the years and his job at the firehouse is what is keeping him around — for now.

as well as being a firefighter, milo owns a food truck that he opened two years ago as a side venture. it’s a popular spot around town for first responders and the towns folk and much like milo, it doesn’t stay in one place for too long. some weekends his truck can be found serving burgers near riverside view and others it can be found in valentine park.

born & raised in the coziness of riverside view to a low income family, her parents were absolute saints but always seemed to just barely be scraping by,. and yet, they tried their best to do anything they could for their two children. the younger of two, nora had always been and still is a real small firecracker; such trouble from the very beginning and often referred to as the unexpected surprise for the family. ( an accident, but a happy one? ) 

  even if she had a seemingly happy upbringing. that nagging feeling of being a burden on her mother’s back kept her distant, and growing up with one obnoxious older brother that could do no wrong. the two siblings never really got along not even much later in life when tragedy struck, but more on that later. 

her mother, annalise, bless her soul. did what she could and worked so hard to provide for their little nest, getting whatever side gigs she could. even having multiple part time jobs which would lead to her fatal downfall & her father, peter... well, he could certainly be classified as a military man. all his adult life, dedicated to the service which left the little family without his presence most of the time. though, when he was around, he was a big ol’ softy and nora was definitely her father’s daughter, almost worshiping the ground he walked on. 

without her father present, most of time;  there was this constant urge in nora to rebel against everything, and that mentality plagued throughout her teenage years. ( just oofff, )  eventually, she fell into the wrong crowd as many teenagers do and got swept up. petty crimes which led to petty charges, a slight slip with narcotics and that’s when, shit really hit the fan. the man, the myth, the legend... the one nora admired most, came home and boy, was he fucking pissed off. his solution was to ship the young girl out of state, to attend a military school/camp as a punishment. however, it bizarrely turned out to be the greatest gift that anyone had ever given her, some order.

three years went by so quickly at that school, it was almost blissful in her eyes; she had been thriving in chaos, but as life does, it comes knocking with a rude awakening, her mother had suddenly passed away, not managing her stressers. ( remember that phrase, trust me. )  that’s when, she came back home to san amore and has stayed ever since with her father in retirement. though, she decided to keep going on the same track, but not in the conventional sense. nora never went on to serve in the military, but rather specializing in a counter assault tactics system ( aka self defense. ) that her father and a few of his army buddies had developed over the years, intending it specifically for women that went overseas into active areas. so at the age twenty-three, five years of restless training in various difficult circumstances, she became a certified trainer for her father’s company which allowed her to travel across the country to introduce their system to different army bases.

a year ago, however, her father passed away as well, not managing his stressers properly and that’s where the only support system she trusted was gone which was a huge blow with her father gone and the company going under. at that difficult point, nora leaned on her then spouse with her older brother being nowhere in sight. ( open wc / spouse: male or female & open wc: older brother that dipped after the funeral: male, of course. ) well, after moving into their shared apartment, and luckily, getting full time gig at klub kiss as a bouncer / doorman, ‘cause of her experience in hand to hand combat tactics. also, she couldn’t mix drinks for shit, so that was certainly out of the picture. betrayal happened. it took her some time too really admit to herself that her spouse had been cheating, and doing for a while at that point. nora was in love, but that all came to an explosive end after a long shift, finding them sleeping blissfully next someone else. obviously, she dipped and crashed at a friends house until finding a roommate in the lanes that was willing to take her in.  

TLTR: nora’s a classic workaholic, she’s a little ( a lot ) bitter towards the world, but certainly wasn’t always like that. now, she more less tries to avoid life by tossing rowdy barflies out, but has dreams of continuing her father’s legacy by starting his company back up which went under after his death, only problem is funding. also she’s vanessa’s roommate ( filled that connection xx )

hello i’m ashley, 19 years old and coming at you from the gmt timezone! i am so excited to write with all of you and can’t wait to get some plots and threads going so here’s all about my boy kenneth!

his biography is here however i got a little carried away and it got long so i do not expect you to read all of it, however it is there if you want to get a more in-depth vibe of him but to quickly summarize: 

originally from glasgow, his parents were murdered in a robbery gone wrong when he was 15. after that he became quite distant and reclusive as he felt everyone around him only pitied him and saw him as the poor orphan boy as he grew up.

writing was his way of coping with their death, as he found it easier to immerse himself in creating new worlds and stories than to try and talk about his actual reality with anyone.

moved to london for university where he completed a degree in english and drama, during this time he became a lot more outgoing and quite charismatic as he didn’t feel weighed down by pity or sympathy as nobody knew about what had happened with his parents here.

after university he moved to los angeles and began working as an assistant script editor on a number of different productions. he was determined to rise to the top eventually and would often backstab his own friends and steal pitch ideas if it meant furthering his career.

after working in this field for all of his 20′s, kenneth eventually did get the opportunity to pitch his own script and have it turned into a real film production.

the film was met with great success and the newfound fame quickly went to kenneth’s head as he became much more ego-centric and narcissistic than before.

his film was nominated for an oscar, and he boasted about how he had it in the bag to everyone but when it came to the announcement of the award on the night- his film didn’t win.

being drunk and embarrassed, kenneth flipped over a table and stormed out of the event. this of course was caught on camera and created a scandal for his career as he ruined his reputation and previous success with his tantrum.

despite his ruined reputation and now struggling career, people still loved his original film and a sequel was highly anticipated. and so to try and save his image before the sequel was announced kenneth’s pr manager had him publicly announce that he would be going to rehab to deal with his alcohol misuse and anger management

after an 8 month stint in rehab kenneth now finds himself in san amore, which he hopes will be a good place to finish the script for his sequel while he tries to avoid public attention for a while.

river has the mentality of a naughty teenager and definitely has a case of the ol’ peter pan syndrome, refusing to believe that being thirty means he should maybe, idk, grow up and stop being a damn delinquent

he’s dragged down by a drug addiction - mainly ketamine and opiates - and can’t ever really see an escape because he’s convinced he’s just doomed to be broken and he’s kinda okay with that

he likes to throw on the charm though and schmooze his way out of any situation possible with humour and crude jokes but it could definitely rub some people up the wrong way so i apologise in advance if this idiot offends anyone

he’s trying to “start fresh” but by that, he’s basically starting over again in a brand new town and he’s grateful to have paris by his side to help him out

born in gothenburg sweden, josephine hjelmsted had lived through a fairly ordinary childhood. her parents were both lovingly devoted to their child’s every need. she was the youngest out of five rowdy children, four older brothers and being the only girl, she never felt iced out for her gender; encouraged to follow any path even if that meant going a little against the tide.

excelling as an athlete in her younger years, she was even a national champion at javelin in her division, but after busting up her shoulder, back and neck during a bad horse riding accident she unfortunately had to retire that sport. intensive physical therapy was needed, yet her presistancy at a critical point made it so that she made a full recovery and that’s when wrestling became her passion at that point in time.

soon intensive combat; self defence, disarming weapons and physical management came into play. the moment she turned eighteen, she joined the swedish armed forces. after excelling in the armed forces, she served for four years before returning home, being awarded for her bravery in combat. when she returned home, she wasted no time and was one of the few women in the swedish swat team.

she got married to an american, but no kids, not yet at least…or maybe even ever. josephine had been dealing quite secretly with fertility issues. she and her husband had been together for almost three years before he made the decision to move them back to his hometown where josephine accepted a job at san amore’s sheriff department and worked her way up to eventually become the sheriff.

little did she know that her husband, the man she loved had been carrying out an affair for yeeeeaaars, even before they moved back to his hometown and his mistress lived in san amore. it wasn’t until recently that she discovered the affair via a close friend told her. she hasn’t yet confronted her husband about it and only time will tell how things will play out. one thing is for certain is that san amore has grown on her and doesn’t want to move away.

In 2007, her father was arrested during her 12th birthday party. He was charged and found guilty for the murder of 13 women between 1998 and 2007. As a 12 year old you don’t have any friends left after something like that. No invitations to sleepovers. People walk around you like you’re cursed.

In 2008 she and her mother were forced to move and change their names after death threats and a break in made it clear they were no longer welcome in their town.

In 2012 her father was murdered in prison. She had not spoken to him since 2007 but had she ever wanted closure or to see him that option was ripped away.

You could say it all fucked her up.

Her mom started to drink. And Callie did too. Gr8 bonding time, 10/10 would recommend.

When Callie turned 20 her mom got her shit together, got sober, met a guy, and started to heal. Callie resented tf out of her for that and left home and began scampering around the east coast, changing towns every year.

When they first moved her mother filled her mouth with lies, a new identity, a new history. Callie learned to like the taste of lies. She’d give you the wrong name in a coffee shop just for the hell of it, laugh if you caught her giving out another fake name later. sabrina grew up with her parents and older sister in nottingham, UK, she was very much spoilt.

she believed everything had to be about her and she should be the center of attention at all times no matter what was going on.

She loved to dance, she was part of a professional dance school out side of actual school because her parents could afford to give her that.

When she was 15 her parents moved to San Amore, and although it was hard for her, she knew her parents were happier there. She had to make new friends and was definitely scared about trying to become popular.

She was a very loyal friend and would always there to listen to her friends when they have problems.

She met Brady her first love when she moved to a high school in San Amore, and he was different to other people due to the fact that although she was able to flirt with a lot of people, he was someone she was able to properly open up to and they realised they had feelings for each other.

During her time at school she was a part of a music video.

After school she was offered the chance to tour Europe and America. 

She got into the dance tou and was excited to travel around Europe on a tour.

Her and Brady came to a realisation that they should probably split up during this time.

After her Europe tour she realised she loved being away from home and travelling that she asked her parents to help move to LA so she could continue workign on her dance.

As she was there, she auditioned for another talent agent which led to her going on an american dance tour.

During that she met a guy who she decided to just have fun and hook up with during the time they were touring. But whilst they did that, she found out he was a big person on getting high, that she ended up joining him and became addicted.

The tour was over and she realised how addicted she was that she pushed him away and tried to fix herself but it was hard.

When the tour was over, she decided to move back to Sam Amore, and get her life back on track.

growing up in an extremely hostile environment, her true identity rosalia sondersby. she as a child dutifully followed her mother’s directives to a tee. her mother, an highly educated woman, a doctor, refused to take any responsibility of being wrong in any situation that concerned her daughter; a narcissist, no surprise. her father was long gone out of the picture when rosalia came into this world. he apparently had died or that what’s she was told, if that truly mattered since it was only a one night stand and he was never even notified of rosalia’s existence while she rested in her mother’s womb. he couldn’t have helped her in her life anyway.

her mother, ever the narcissist loved to flaunt her intellectual daughter to everyone and anyone, yet refused to show any love and affection to her; it was apparently a weakness. early summer courses at pristine universities and it seemed there was a bright future ahead, that is, until she met a girl that would change her entire life forever. now, rosalia had gained a reputation for being an intelligent girl amongst her peers in private school, that’s where, valerie comes into the picture. now, valerie was a troubled kid, deep into narcotics and generally a mess of human, and yet she was incredibly kind and charming. she wanted a new fake ID, which was an easy request for rosalia to uphold, valerie offered rosalia a deal she couldn’t refuse; to be her friend. cheesy, but kinda cute. desperate for any type of connection, she of course, agreed to those terms.

who knew that rosalia’s life would be absolutely torn apart with some black hair dye, some scissors and two incredibly detailed fake ID’s. now, valerie had suggested a night out in an old nightclub called ‘the flying horse’ in downtown chicago. now anyone with a brain that researched this club would know that it was heavily involved with the russian mob, they had largely been responsible for the recent flooding of the downtown area with narcotics and weapons.

on that fateful night at ‘ the flying horse ’ it was all fun and shots at the bar; they danced, got heavily intoxicated, loads of whoooing and just lived a little. that is, until they met illya and alexi petrov, brothers, co-owners of the nightclub and of course russian mobsters. now, alexi was very much a dumb-dumb, kind of a creep and all together a pretty weird dude and valerie …..well, she loooooved that about him….who would’ve guessed that? now whilst alexi and valerie were inseparable at this point in the night, going to the bathroom doing all sorts of illegal stuff. rosalia heavily intoxicated with a water desperately trying to sober up, just a little bit. and that’s where illya, comes into the picture, he was the smarter one…. obviously. fiercely handsome, intelligent and charming, but also a very very very bad dude. they hit it off. they talked, danced and ended up kissing, so by the end of the night illya had rosalia wrapped around his little finger.

and here’s where it all goes down the shitter. alexi and illya invited them to their house after the club closed. now valerie jumped on this opportunity whilst rosalia protested, she wanted to go home at this point, barely being able to stand and having the capacity of bambi on ice when it came to walking. swiftly, illya picked her up and loaded her into the backseat of the car with alexi and valerie in the front, in rosalia’s twisted mind, that to her kinda romantic. illya stayed behind at club, taking care of some business, he said. dry heaving on the car ride over, she begged them to take her home, but no dice. as soon as they got there, it was business for them in the living room, ( sex, y’know ), and the bathroom for rosalia where she spent a good hour dry heaving and relieving herself on repeat. she finally found the strength to raise herself up a little more sober than before and went out on the porch for some fresh air. she placed her shivering body on the cold wooden chair until she eventually passed out. after maybe two hours of drunken dreams, all of a sudden she joilted up, hearing a commotion in the living room where valerie and alexi were. illya was back and accusing alexi of betrayal and selling him out to the feds, as soon as rosalia peeked into the living room from the glass door, she witnessed illya put two bullets in alexi. then even before, valerie could scream, she was dead. an indescribable amount of panic set in, a truly sobering moment of realization that she was next and as illya went upstairs in a frantic search for her, she climbed the over the porch and ran to the apartment complex down the street.

a frantic 911 call behind a dumpster later, she was safe or so she thought. the police arrived and took her statement at the station. it was the first solid witness against illya petrov they had ever had, notorious for executing anyone that dared to stand against him in court and unafraid to fire at law enforcement. the police were aware that this was a serious case of her protection. illya would stop at nothing to get her killed. the safe house had been compromised and two officers lost their life in a brutal manner with rosalia narrowly escaping with her life, running 10 miles through dirt, rain and forest to get over to the neighbouring police station. she was once again safe, the case of her protection was forwarded to the san amore sheriff’s department and she was helped to adopt a new indenity as nina mikkelsen.

now, nina has lived in san amore for 8 years in a small rustic house in the Lanes. she kinda liked the town, but incredibly vary of getting attached or people snooping into her personal life. yet she wants connections, and is getting a bit reckless. however, her number one priority is survival to stand trial against illya petrov when they catch him.

born and raised in san amore, dexter knows this town like the back of their hand; they’ve never once left, not even on a vacation, and whilst some may say that might make them deprived, dex doesn’t care too much. san amore is all they’ve ever known and they’re not too sure if the big wide world is even ready for them just yet

they work as a mail carrier and have done for the past ten years because... well, let’s just say that dexter isn’t the brightest crayon in the box after dropping out of amore high in junior year. it suits them just fine however and it means they’ve managed to make a little bit of a reputation for themselves with the locals.

a natural flirt, dexter will always try their best to swoon their way into someone’s heart. but they never used to be this way-- in fact, from the age of twenty to twenty-five, dexter was in a long-term relationship that developed into an engagement. except, dexter never actually met their fiance face-to-face.

it’s difficult to really meet people in a small town like san amore so dexter spent a lot of their time as a teenager on the internet, like most do, and found themselves on a chatroom where they met their future partner. the two of them clicked almost instantly, sharing banter back and forth and before dexter knew it, they were sharing ‘i love you’s and talking of the future.

they’d shared photographs of course, though they never did videochat, there always seemed to be an excuse but dexter was simply blindsided. that was until the pair of them made plans for them to meet in san amore-- but dexter’s fiance left them stranded. they stood them up. and that was when dexter realised that maybe they weren’t in love after all and maybe they were stupid to even think it was possible.

Kassidy grew up in San Amore, she is very family oriented and would do aboslutely anything for her family. 

She was always very out going as kid, she was probably the sweetest person in her year at school, she got on with everyone or she tried too. 

With her being that nice and optimistic it did make people dislike her and cause her to have some arguments but Kassidy is very good at sticking up for herself.

Kassidy grew up with her parents her older brother and younger sister and she was very much around a very hard working family. 

She always wanted to do writing from a young age but what kind of writing she wasn’t sure of until she was in junior year of high school when she joined the school paper. She then realised that she wanted to go into journalism.

Growing up she had two friends she really trusted, as much as she was nice and optimistic, she didn’t trust many people.

When she went to college she instantly met a guy, someone who was so sweet, his name was Julian. Since she stayed in San Amore for college, she found out he had just moved there partly for college but also because his uncle lived there and his uncle was like a second dad to him.

Graduation came around and Julian proposed and she said yes and she was given her dream job as an editor on the local paper and she was very much living her best life. 

A year and half later of her graduation, she was happy with Julian until he got his dream job in New York and she was ready to say she would go with him to New York and live their life together because she loved him and wanted a future with him. Unfortunately that was not something he wanted, he wanted ot make his dream come true on his own, so they broke up and ended the engagement.

laiken amore de jager ( lay-kun a-moor dee yar-gur )

daughter of johannes and holden de jager; two men who used a surrogate and ended up blessed with laiken and her twin brother, phoenix wolfe.

despite being born in san amore (hence the middle name), laiken grew up mostly in gansbaai, south africa after the family relocated back to her father johannes’, hometown so that he could return to work.

at a young age, she developed a love for the ocean being right outside her front door but whilst she appreciated her father’s career as a shark researcher, she found herself leaning more toward her other dad’s career path-- tattooing.

as soon as she was old enough to practice holding a machine, she would spend hours with holden perfecting little lines on fake skin before giving both her fathers little tattoos of their own as keepsakes. she became an apprentice under holden and he taught her absolutely everything she knew before taking a full time role as an artist in his local shop where she managed to develop a name for herself-- instagram definitely helped.

she had always been close with her twin brother, despite being entirely different there was of course a bond that couldn’t be replicated elsewhere and not even their parents would ever truly understand it. 

laiken found herself wanting to venture out of south africa however, wanting to learn about holden’s american culture, about her real hometown where she spent the first year of her life. but phoenix wasn’t happy-- the two of them had never been apart for more than a few days and he wasn’t prepared to move across the other side of the world, abandoning everything that was in gansbaai, including their loving family.

the two of them proceeded to have a huge fight and she hasn’t spoken to her brother for over a month now, having refused to take his calls or answer his texts. as soon as she knew she had a job secure at love hate tattoo, she packed her bags and left without as much as a post-it note on her twin’s door to tell him she was gone.

now, laiken’s only been in san amore for a week so she’s the ultimate fresh blood. it’s a little bit of a culture shock and she’s not too fond of the weather just yet, but she wants to wrap herself up in as much of the american way of life as possible.

as always, i’m open to all kinds of plots! laiken is definitely going to need some friends to give her guidance (maybe take pity on her haha) and help her figure her way around this alien little town she’s found herself in.

when she was three years old, olivia moved to san amore. it was her mother’s hometown and she wanted to be close to her own mother before old age took her.

the youngest of two and only girl in the family, liv was spoiled rotten from a very young age. she was showered with gifts, but also with love from her parents and brother.

with bright blue eyes, long blonde hair, and a wide smile, she charmed every person she met. she never shied away from interactions and would often babble about her toys and classes at school.

from a very young age, olivia knew she wanted to be a teacher when she grew up. she loved helping out her classmates and excelled in most of her classes - math is a different story, ok? it’s hard! -. so by the time graduation rolled around, she already knew what she wanted her college major to be.

deciding she wanted to be an art teacher, though… that took some time. at first, she was sure she wanted to be a biology teacher. then, she set her eyes in english. it was only after a long conversation with her father that olivia realized she really should combine both passions of hers - teaching and art - into one thing.

getting a job after finishing college was easy. her old teachers at san amore elementary school put in a good word for her and she managed to be hired as the school’s art teacher.

four years ago, olivia’s life changed completely. after getting involved with a guy that - now looking back - clearly wasn’t a good person, she found herself staring at multiple positive pregnancy tests. she told him, and instead of supporting her, he skipped town while liv was asleep.  

deciding she wanted to keep her child, liv worked her butt off to make sure she’d be able to give her baby the best life possible. her parents also helped her with as much as possible; she was still their little girl, after all.

eight months later, amelia rose quinn came into the world with a piercing cry. liv vowed that she would be the best mother to ever exist and would never let anything happen to her daughter.

flynn has lived in san francisco all his life. 

he learned how to cook from his mother, but even as a kid enjoyed baking more than anything else. so he has minimal regular cooking skills as an adult but can get by. he can and will make desserts for dinner though (which his mom hates).

even as a child, flynn’s dad was unreliable and a bit of a selfish asshole. one of flynn’s first memories was of his dad running out on his family and his mother being brokenhearted over it.

he fluttered in and out of their lives after that though his parents never officially got back together. but he’d always lead flynn’s mother to believe it and use her for various reasons (usually for money). she was never able to turn him away and it gave flynn a lasting impression on men and how they could be. he promised to never be like that.

his household was mostly dominated by women and the occasional boyfriend of his mother’s. it helped him to develop a sense of understanding for women and paired with his already sensitive nature flynn ended up becoming quite the introvert.

he’s really loyal. he would do anything for his mother and his sisters. while he’s quite the softy he does tend to intimidate people who try to date anyone in his family with his large appearance. and he prefers to appear threatening to them though he’s more like a puppy than anything else.

 he’s the lone person in his household that’s not straight. as he grew older and became aware of his identity it had a negative impact on him and sometimes he feels ashamed of his attraction to men. while he’s not closeted he’s never dated a man. his mother is a very understanding woman but he’s still afraid to tell her. his sisters on the other hand aware and are very understanding about it.
