Lori Anderson (http://www.prettythingsblog.com) is having another Bead Soup Blog Party (the 8th!) and you are all invited to come see the party decorations on Saturday, March 25 2017. This time we are sending hoarded beads and treasures to our partner. Lori emplored us to package up what we were going to give before we knew who our partners were, so that is what I did. I think this was a great idea as then you focus on the beads, and not on trying to drive yourself crazy cyberstalking your partner. My partner this time is Jenny Kyrlach.

As you can see, Jenny knows quite a bit about blog hops and design challenges. I think these are a great way to meet people, incourage our creativity, and get disciplined about meeting deadlines. It was fun to look at her designs and I realized we have participated in a few of the same hops and are in several online groups together.

Jenny sent me the first art bead she ever bought. (I still have mine too.) She also sent me some lovely paper beads her mother taught her how to make along with amethyst and rose quartz.

Lori was clear we should not post a picture of what we sent until our partner did. I forgot to take a picture of what I sent so here is one I borrowed from Jenny, but since she hasn’t posted yet, you can’t see it. ;P

So I notice there's some Songbird tribute going begging on anafiassa's shop. I understand Friday is a payday for many people. I think you know where I'm going with this.

MY EVENSONG'S HEIR TRIBUTE EARRINGS CAME IN. THEY'RE HERE. THEY'RE GORGEOUS. I'M SO HAPPY.

I got the Grayson, St. Alveron, and a pair from another one of anafiassa's collections. She's also making me a custom pair in tribute to Willim! Gah! So excited!

Now I just need the physical copy of the book to come in the mail, and I'll be all set!

In other news, I've been playing a jewelry-making collaboration game with @anafiassa since the beginning of the year. It's one thing we've done to combat the distance required by the covid plague. One of us picks a pendant and the other takes it home to design a necklace for it.

This month she gave me a purple and green sea turtle pendant which I matched with amethyst and green adventurine:

I don't remember the last time I saw my best friend. We might be losing our minds in the craft store.

My crazy-friend-with-a-sewing-machine (aka @anafiassa) had another bunch of masks made by the time I came to visit today 🥰💕

This is the first time since March I've actually been able to hang out with @anafiassa in person (as opposed to video chat) because every time I've gone to her house it has rained.

Here we are social distancing through her shrubberies (we later moved up to her back porch, still keeping an arapaima worth of distance between us). If you're wondering what my face is doing, that's me communicating with the bugs on the leaves over my head.

It was super sad to go to my best friend's house and not go inside, but she stood on her porch and I stood on the sidewalk and we got a little bit of a chat.

And I have a set of stylin' masks now. So I don't have to worry about making more (unless I want to) or stress about hand washing the only two I have every day. 🥰

Ohio Renaissance Festival 2019 (complete with hand-crafted loot!)

We didn't find a lot of fossils, but we had fun looking! And all the wildlife made the trip more than worth it: oodles of turtles, a heron, a frog, a beaver, and a black rat snake (video to follow).
