#there are only about 1500 left in the wild#not good !!#there were originally 3 types of monk seals#Hawaiian monk seal Mediterranean monk seal and Caribbean monk seal#but the caribbean monk seal is extinct due to over-hunting by humans :(#so PSA !!!!#if u are in hawaii and sea a hawaiian monk seal chilling on the beach#DONT GO NEAR IT AND INVADE ITS SPACE#it needs its space man#stay 50 feet away from it at least#and AT LEAST 150 feet away if its a mama with cubs :(#keep those babaies safe#i actually saw a hawaiian monk seal one time !!!#it was like a dream come true it made me so happy :)#i took pictures from afar and man <333#anyways psa over lol KEEP ENDANGERED SPECIES SAFE !!!
