hello 🥰 ive been following you and reading your works for a while and i think it's really cool how you can produce so many good quality fics so quickly. your readers are very very lucky ! how long does it usually take for you to finish your works? i would love to learn more about your process ! 🌷

i think it sort of helps that i dont sleep that much or very well and that im an irregular student in uni

i also think another factor is that my mind has ideas a lot. most of the time i sit down and think when im at a park before class and i type out a rough plot draft then i make it as soon as possible

because as fast as thoughts come, they go away too fast too. so i rush!!! which is why i make mistakes often!!! i just come back and correct myself!!!

it also helps that i type really fast. i used type out my notes in my undergrad and even now in my higher educ school days. so i think that's another factor!!! i write both on my phone and my computer (which is whyyyyyyy i have drafts everywhere and i get scolded for not paying attention to people im around when i have an idea 🥲🥲🥲)

making short drabbles or smth like say immortal sukuna, it takes me around an hour or so (the formatting is the hard part 🥲🥲🥲)

and say if im doing something in long format like 3 to 5k, it may take 3 to 4 hours, depending on my brain and my energy. 10k and beyond takes longer — but i try to get it done the same day after a break or tomorrow if i have time.

ashes of love, i got crazy writing about it because i could picture everything easily in my head. so i rushed writing it just to crank out the image i had in my head. because im frightened it would disappear and i'd just lose the vision!!!

but on days i dont update (like during exams) i already have something planned in advice, like a draft i didnt like and i feel like is good enough (a great example would be 'love me back—megumi fushiguro, i liked it but i didnt 'love' it you know???); i publish those to buy myself time.

usually its because im stubborn. i dont like leaving things not done and i wanna be a fan of my work too, so i wanna read it to see if its good enough.

so i have to finish it and give it to everyone to enjoy with me. so even if i only like it, i wanna put it in the world too. i think ill grow to love more than i just do now one day!!!

though, im not immune to being lazy. i think i still havent finished a lot of stuff and i have to rewrite them when i have more time. but i genuinely forget sometimes and i come back, reread and do it again. so it makes me unproductive too.

but writing is a destressing tactic to me and im crazy about it because its a way to find some peace of mind. so ill do it aa much as i can to be sane as much as possible.

tldr — i dont sleep that much, i have more time at times cause irregular school days, im stubborn, i chase my ideas like its the F1 and its a problem but also my sanity!!!

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I like Oswald. He's an important character for Eivor's journey and a significant ally for her to have. Oswald is the first person (if memory serves me right) to make Eivor see that there is strength in kindness and bravery in forgiveness - lessons that Eivor seem to carry with her for the rest of the game (should the player so choose). I adore how genuine and full of heart he is. And I truly admire the courage he can muster when given a chance to prove himself. Honestly, I like that he's a kind and gentle character who gets to keep being kind and gentle while he learns to stand up for himself. And I feel it's pretty neat that on top of it - he's a man who gets to display these traits. I love that he gets to be loyal to his own faith, belief and morals, and doesn't necessarily have to compromise them to please the Danes.

2. Favorite canon thing about this character?

His influence on Eivor and their friendship. 100%. A lot of this is also covered under 1.

3. Least favourite canon thing about this character?

Maybe just that I wish he had been present at the Siege of Portcestre or the Battle of Cippanhamm. Would have been nice to see him with Eivor's other allies - even if I wouldn't expect him to fight :') It was nice to see Finnr though :'D

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like?

I think, in general, it's just nice to see more of Oswald :') I always appreciate cameos or mentions of him in fics. :D

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

I haven't seen a lot of things that I despise when it comes to Oswald. I think people are generally good at interpreting his kind and loyal spirit. 🤔

11. Would you date this character?

Oswald is so very sweet and kind qwq I'd love to date him - but I don't think we'd be a match. While our morals might very much align, my chaos brain, goblin energy and weatherlike mood swings would definitely be too much for him. He's much more suited with someone of more stable character. 😭🥲

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

That Oswald is the sweetest, most loving, and most devoted husband and eventually father. That he embroidered the handkerchief he gave to Valdis himself And that Oswald at some point teaches Broder needlepoint (which Broder is terrible at), so that he can give a personal gift to Eivor 😂

19. How about a relationship they have in canon that you don't like?

Honestly - the relationship he has with Brothir and Broder at the start. Those two knuckleheads need to give Oswald a chance. I know they're protective of their sister and clan - but even Valdis tells them to get a grip. 🤣 And I say this despite genuinely liking Brothir and Broder. Fortunately, this is kind of resolved? 😂 Long live character development.

22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?

Oh no, now I feel guilty 😭 I've been sent and recommended fics with this soft man, but I've been too busy lately to read them 🥲 I genuinely can't answer this question. 🥺

I'm not sure. Which, honestly, says it all. Oswald didn't leave much of a first impression - but the more Eivor interacted with him, the more he grew on me. I know I quickly came to like him. And I still do. ;D

He would trust you more than other translators, because he knows that you won't mess up deliberately and make him say something that might be offensive. -He would teach you how to handle guns and weaponry. Lippmann is secretly skilled with guns, his submachine gun and machine pistols being proof of that. While teaching you, he is quite gentle but strict, and you find yourself being able to hit targets from far away in no time at all

I understand you so much on the school situation because I'm the same. Perfectionist at heart and it's my biggest enemy. It took me years to figure out grades aren't important and they don't determine your intelligence. Sure, people with straight A's might be clever, but intelligence and knowledge are different things:

"Knowledge is the collection of skills and information a person has acquired through experience. Intelligence is the ability to apply knowledge. Just because someone lacks knowledge of a particular subject doesn't mean they can't apply their intelligence to help solve problems."

In the end, intelligence is more important than the grades from your exams. Funny enough, I have found out that the nerds in my class actually lack intelligence compared to others. So don't forget, whatever result you'll get, accept it and learn from the mistakes if needed. Never let it affect your self-assurance! You're worth more than some stupid grades which everyone will forget about anyway.

I'm doing well, currently fighting the flu (I said my immune system was good, welp, I jinxed it haha).

I received this last night already, made me really happy. was too tired to answer tho. and I have been thinking if there is any fun school stories. hope your exams went well, looking forward to it seeing you more here.

bruh teachers like that, idk man. speaking the topic English, that might be my 'funny stories' to tell, bc I've been wanting to talk about my English teacher on here for a while.

I have a reputation as the top student in English class, and if you're asking me if the teacher likes me, I'd say yes, but I theoretically couldn't really tell you. Somehow I manage to be some kind of class clown/comedian, the nerd, and also the class rep at the same time. I kind of pick on him a lot, don't get me wrong I don't bully him- I just like to initiate discussions or stuff like that.

somehow he publicly complains about me, sarcastically but I think he maybe just kinda likes whining? But he also has expectations for me and laughs at my jokes sometimes, but then he "trashes me" for "again" not being there, then says my English is better than a university students. I have no idea what he's on about, flattered tho. (if he'd tell that when I would be there tho.. instead of picking on me? he's a tsundere.)

my classmates say I always diss him by being better than him which is why he "doesn't like me" bc he isn't able to get me back. I criticize the tasks sometimes, or start conversations about some other topic, just the person who constantly talks bc no one else does. I do hate myself for it occasionally bc I wonder if I'm annoying..

at the time we're preparing for exams, and the oral part of it is in a few weeks. For that we have been some kind of, acting, it's given scenarios where you're supposed to take a role. he's also a theatre teacher, I'm not in theater class though, I just make English class my stage.

a continuous joke is that, no one wants to do it, except for me but he wouldn't let me anymore because I volunteered too many times. I just enjoy the show. Once I played a classmates girlfriend who was pissed at him for surprising her with a camping trip 💀

the other day he started letting me again though, and so we improvised some at the bus stop scene. I kept leading the conversation into a completely different direction, which was, quite funny of a result. (he just wanted to make some small talk and I ended up venting about my depressing, unemployed life with my unsuccessful umbrella business)

another thing that happened in December, was that we had some kind of secret Santa thing, that was basically, you could buy chocolate and it came with a card on which you address it to someone and can write a little note.

I bought a few, and I sent some to classmates, and a few people from my year. they were so upset about not knowing who it was. I never told them. and I also sent one to a girl from a class complimenting her smile, there was a short drama about people wondering who it was from, and til this day no one of them knows it was me.

This week was actually really rough, and I have a lot of things going on currently, feeling pretty stressed. I took as good care of myself as I could.

I think giving and receiving asks are my fav thing about Tumblr. Idk why but they just hit different and I like talking to people even if it's just for stupid reasons.

You know what's funny last night I was up late working on something and I only got like a 30 min nap BUT IM AS ENERGETIC AS EVER. my sis says I have insomnia, but I don't think so, somethings are just more important than sleep 😌

i agree !! although i must admit i'm terrible with answering asks T_T i always want to give a proper, long answer that the ask deserves so i keep putting it off and i feel really guilty, but please know that i read ALL the asks you send me and i get this stupid big smile because it's really nice to talk to ppl on this lonely hellsite :)))

i agree tho - both "personal" asks or like random conversations and asks about my writings cause i'm starved for compliments lmao.

also howw? i sleep only about 4-6 hours rn (which is super bad) but school has been eating me alive so ig there's nothing i can do :< so i totally feel ya :)

but i'm good!! finally got my shit together and decided that i want to take the B1 exam (which leads to a certificate) for German in June :)) honestly, if covid didn't mess with my schedule, i would've probably had the certificate already but it just loves to mess with our lives -_-

i'm really exited though cause if i pass, i don't need to worry about the graduate test for german since this certificate is of equal value. also - it means that i could finally start learning another language *cough cough* korean *cough* which i've actually wanted to learn for the past 14 months :]

i'm hoping that i'll actually manage to take the exam and be able to start learning a new language cause it's something i'd really like for myself lol.
