#and I'm tempted to just say 'bi and pan people are attracted to more than one gender

it's pride month so i'm promoting lgbtq+ learning at work! what does this mean? someone sent me a suggestion that the training we were promoting had inaccurate descriptions of bi/pan sexuality, I dipped my toe back into the discourse of how those are defined, remembered "it's the same fucking thing" and then changed nothing

I am not saying I have s good gaydar but it is beeping loudly at especially Olli 🙈
But a genuine question I know it’s all a joke and nothing serious but do you seriously think Olli and/or Aleksi might be lgbt and do you think they actually might have a crush on each other? I know it’s none of our business really but people (me) tend to be curious 🤷🏻‍♀️
Love your blog btw ❤️
Yeah I can't proud on having anything even remotely resembling a gaydar but sometimes I wonder... 👀🤨🤭
(putting the rest behing a read-more 🫣)
In all seriousness, as I've said many times before, I've always thought there's no way BC is 100% heterosexual. I just don't believe it 😌 as for who in the band is not straight, I'm hesitant to speculate or comment on anyone's sexual orientation (outside fanfics / delusional headcanons, that is), but I mean... obviously it's a possibility? 🤷‍♀️ however, as much as I'd love to see Olli and Aleksi together or even just crushing on each other for real, I must admit them being queer is more likely than them being queer AND having a crush on each other. Then again, they wouldn’t be the first people in the history of the universe to fall for a friend, neither would they be the first people ever to have a crush on Person A while being in a relationship with Person B...
So my (boring) answer to your question is it's possible 🤷‍♀️ one might argue that e.g. Olli wearing that t-shirt with the rainbow on the backside that was made/sold in collaboration with his local LGBTQ+ organisation is relevant here, and maybe it is, but at the same time a completely heterosexual person might as well wear a shirt like that to show their support (to a friend or a family member or just in general, because why wouldn't he? he's a good bean and that's exactly the kinda thing I'd imagine him doing). Same goes for Aleksi's "everone is gay" Nirvana shirt. Sure, there are other "hints" the may have "dropped" (accidentally or not, like that moment in Aleksi’s twitch stream when he refused to read the comment out loud once he noticed it was basically calling him a straight person 😂), but not quite enough for me to actually lean towards any explanation more than the other. I know both of them are currently in long-term heterosexual relationships, so it's rather safe to say neither of them are gay, unless they're been fooling their poor spouses this whole time, which I honestly don't believe is the case. But them being bi or pan for example is totally a possibility as far as I'm concerned, since I don't understand why 'heterosexual' should be the "default" and that everyone is assumably straight until something explicitly proves otherwise. I'm sorry but to me the fact they're in hetero relationship is NOT enough proof 😌
And if someone's tempted to make a comment along the lines of jfc what are you on, of course they're not crushing on each other, they're FRIENDS and you're delusional omg, I want you to ask yourself: is it REALLY that far-fetched that two friends who reportedly 1) really enjoy each other's company, 2) have common interests, 3) share the same kind of humour, 4) spend a lot of time together when given the chance, and 4) possibly find each other attractive (just speculation) would have a crush on one another? Just a teeny tiny (🤏) crush? I think not 😤 Especially in Olli/Allu's case, since they've only known each other since idk 2019 or something like that? Suddenly I can't remember when Timebomb came out or when they worked on it lol but anyway, it's a little different in comparison to Olli's other bandmates whom he has known since he was a teenager / literal child, so I'd imagine he views e.g. Joonas and Tommi as his brothers almost. With Aleksi he doesn't have that kind of history, although I'm sure they too have engaged in all sorts of brotherly activities... 🥰
Even considering the case they're both in relationships, it wouldn't be a complete impossibility. Especially in long-term relationships I'd say it's rather common to have an odd crush on someone else from time to time. Whether or not they do anything about the crushes is another story entirely
Yeah, anyway, hope this helps! 😇 have a great weekend, curious anon ❤️

It annoys me how some h*llcheers, when accused of homophobia, say they can't be homophobic because they're gay/bi. You very much can be, internalized as well as lateral aggression. Gay people can be biphobic, same gender attracted women can be homophobic towards sga men, and vice versa.
It sucks to be a guy and engaging in an m/m ship because m/m shippers are accused of all being straight women who fetishise gay men (which is something h*llcheers have said about steddies). Yes, some are and it sucks, but a lot, if not most, are queer men and women. Also, in my experience most guys I've come across in m/m shipping spaces have been gay/bi transmascs (like me) and since "fetishistic straight women" we're often called by transphobic gays, I can't trust people who say that.
Not to mention how much it hurts when people say "why don't you just ship canon m/m couples instead?" Because there isn't a lot of shows, that aren't "gay shows" (pose, heartstopper, young royals), that have main characters who are queer men, and that's not their entire personality, much less for trans men or bi/pan men.
I'm glad will is canonically gay, but with the way it's presented in the show I'm sure that some straight viewers don't get it yet, and why can't we have more than him and robin? And let's be real, will is a much "safer" character to "make" queer than steve or eddie; character's that I'm sure more straight men are projecting themselves on than there are who project themselves on will. Imagine if a character that was "meant for" straight people, came out as gay or bi? It's not gonna happen, especially if that character is a man, because straight men's sexuality and masculinity are so intertwined and so, so fragile. So please, let us have fun. Let us make up headcanons for these characters that we love, because that's all we're ever gonna have.
Even though both parties in h*llcheer are dead and the possibility of them being canon is non existant, it's still less non existant than the possibility of steddie becoming canon, and would be met with zero hostility from the general audience, compared to steddie. We know why this is, and we also know why they can so easily demonize and make out all steddie shippers as villains, while burying any evidence of foul play on their own side.
This was long, sorry, but I needed to rant and I don't feel like being attracting #them to my blog.
Don't ever say sorry, I'm here for everybody who have the need to vent or rant🥹
Sorry but it's so stupid saying "I'm bi so I can't be homophobic" for the reasons you already listed.
Anyway you shouldn't listen to those kind of hellcheers, some of them don't even respect Grace, we can't expect to be treated with kindness when they see steddie as something that gets in between their ship.
Block them, filter their tag and even if you're tempted, don't go looking for their post to check what they're saying about steddies because it can be hurtful and can ruin your fun.
Instead, look for what makes you happy! HC, art, fanfiction, incorrect quotes (these are my favorite btw) etc.
I realize that in my blog we talk a lot about these toxic people and this is the reason why I proceed to reblog a lot of steddie/steve/eddie/joe/jamie/Joe K./other media content; like this I can also share something that we enjoy with people that check my blog to see what I answer, and might be upset by some of the asks.

I'm getting really mad at the people that are cancelling SkamES because of the "panphobia" when it was stated multiple times that it's a line from OG Skam. Also, people just dont want to understand that this was probably a nod to Spain's society. It's said that the people(not the lgbt+ folks)in spain dont really get the difference between pan and bi. So this scene was to show that. pero no sé, qué opinás?
ha anon, do you want me to rant in spanish? (i mean, for the sake of my international followers i won’t, but it’s tempting)
as for skames... yeah. i think that a lot of s2 does things to bring light to the fact that nora isn’t the wise friend figure who holds the answer to every issue in the world. she’s wrong on MULTIPLE things throughout the season (telling cris she doesn’t have to put up with someone with a MI, the pansexuality thing, telling alejandro he only wants her bc she’s the only one who’s ever said “no” to him). and the pansexual scene isn’t an exception? she starts off strong, because she’s the preachy one, but at the end she ends up admitting that she’s not sure. and that’s EXACTLY what magnus says in og... and they’re both not wrong: pansexual and bisexual people are attracted to the same group of people, and nora, a spaniard teen who’s cisgender and straight and has probably heard the pansexual debate on her spaniard feminist circles, simply replied with her input on the subject. very on character with her, too.
i personally think it’s a great adaption of the scene to the girl squad. like, do you imagine anyone else but noora stepping in to correct the girls about what x term means? that was what noora was doing in og s2, anyways. furthermore, the scene establishes another one of nora’s problems that you can find on countless on other teens (even myself when i was younger, and nowadays too lmao) and across the internet, which is to jump in to explain a point about a touchy subject that you don’t really understand. with s3 in mind... i love it. just like the s3 scene of nora stumbling across her conception of feminism when her sister is being irresponsible as a way of trying to cope with her trauma/move past it. i don’t think the scene is framed to make it seem like nora is right, not with eva saying “the only thing that matters is that you’re happy” to close off the discussion.
and if it’s about whatever happened with the cast... i mean, if that’s the reason why we’re cancelling skam españa, then all the other remakes are going down, og included. actors, producers and directors are problematic and you’re never gonna escape that. i can hold people accountable for their mistakes while also enjoying the content they’ve participated in, because otherwise i wouldn’t enjoy absolutely anything in my life. and some skamverse fans love to turn a blind eye on their cast and even problematic plotlines within their remakes just to invalidate a remake who’s proven to be more well-written and compelling than the others.
