like having your sequel villain be the functional opposite of the first game (both of them) is like. i won't say a no brainer but it works for obvious reasons. but sofia lamb specifically always came off to me as sooooo character-first like someone had something very personal they wanted to get off their chest

#and i dont think she works That well in the setting conceptually #but i think tjats the big difference between 1 & 2 #where bs1 is very big broad concept and the story until ryan is mostly About The City #and captured in set pieces and atmosphere and little freaks like cohen #and andrew is more an avatar of the city with fontlas being its shadow self. rapture is The Character being explored #whereas from what i remember of 2 rapture is very much The Setting. and the actual people take the front seat #its specifically about lamb eleanor delta sinclair and the sad audio log dad whose name i forgot #and then obviously minervas den seals it perfectly but you know
