only tangentially related to my earlier post about webtoon but another thing that fucking sucks is that there are a lot of international webnovels i would love to read, but the fan translations are so fucking dire that it's impossible to say if the original is good or not, and there's no incentive to release a real english translation because instead they license the webtoon adaptation of the webnovel and pretend that's just as good

#original #between the fan and official translations svsss went from my least to most favorite so it makes a difference #yes i am still mad i can't buy an official english translation of orv (the novel) and have to settle for orv (the comic)#and don't even get me started on webnovel.com jesus christ what a fucking nightmare #i don't know if tapas is better but if they've straight up stolen translations from people they've c&d'd i have not heard about it
