EVERYTHING. all of dennis' motivations whether intentional or not. come back to this#and everyone misunderstands dennis in a very similar way: assuming he is a control freak#its not true! thats not true!#surface dennis vs actual dennis!#he appears that way but he doesn't want the responsibility that comes with truly being in control#he just wants to feel like he is or at the very least Could be in control#in gets analyzed when he talks about being the one standing near the executioners switch#and knowing that he Could throw it.#its more about dennis' reluctance to be out of control than it is about him being in control. that loss. when the illusion breaks.#thats when it becomes a problem#he needs insurance. a way to get the upper hand if he ever does find himself being manipulated
