You would think that the idol you were dating would be your ultimate bias. But no, your boyfriend was sitting across from you as you happily wrote a fan letter to BTS’s V. You hummed along to “Spring Day” as you decorated the paper with pretty stickers.

“What are you writing?” Chanhee peeked at the card.

“Nothing,” you teased.

He pouted at the lack of attention and sighed loudly in hopes that you would notice. You didn’t.

From across the room, Changmin snickered at the sight. His friend was completely weak when it came to you.

“Who do you like more? Me or V sunbae-nim?” Chanhee suddenly asked. You laughed at the question, making him frown.

“Obviously V sunbae-nim,” Younghoon said as he passed by, giving you a high five.

You continued to doodle, oblivious to your sulking boyfriend. Younghoon sat next to Changmin on the couch as they watched you two in amusement.

“You’re really gonna write a love letter to another guy right in front of your boyfriend?” Chanhee raised a brow.

“Fan letter,” you corrected. “There’s a very big difference.”

“Doesn’t seem like it,” he huffed, crossing his arms.

“Aww babe are you jealous?” you giggled.

“No,” he said as he cutely stomped away to his room. With a laugh, you followed after him and joined him on the bed. He pretended to ignore you while you snuggled into his arms.

You placed a soft kiss on his lips, smiling when the corners curved up against his will. You landed a few more pecks until he finally gave in and chuckled.

“Chanhee, you know I love you the most,” you affirmed. “I’m nothing but a fan of other idols. I support their dreams and admire them as an artist. But you, I love you with all my heart. I love your bright mind, your adorable laugh, and the way you’re always so considerate of others.”

You rested your head on his chest and heard his heart rate slowly go up. It brought you a sense of comfort and overwhelmed you with happiness.

“But most importantly, I love that you love me,” you whispered, staring into his eyes. “I love when you lend me your sweater and pretend to get annoyed when I refuse to give it back. I love having your scent linger around me even after you leave. I love that you’re always looking after me and never make me feel insecure. I love you.”

Chanhee had already melted and gave in long ago. He didn’t stand a chance against your cheerful expression. Seeing you happy filled him with joy as well.

“I love you too,” he said as he caressed your cheek.

“Then give me kiss kiss,” you puckered.

He kissed your nose, which crinkled in disappointment. As his own mini payback, he continued his teasing by giving you another kiss on your forehead. He smirked at your whining before finally leaning in for a real kiss.

The romantic moment didn’t last too long. It was abruptly cut short with Sunwoo’s loud shriek.

“Please close the door when you want your lovey-dovey time!” he yelled as he ran away. You heard Changmin and Younghoon laugh as Sunwoo complained about his eyes.

You got up to close the door and turned around with a sly grin. Chanhee didn’t like that mischievous look in your eyes. Before he could open his mouth, however, you jumped on top of him, earning a grunt from him.

You reached for his sides and his eyes widened at your sudden tickle attack. Outside, your friends rolled their eyes at the burst of giggles from the room. Changmin suggested that they leave the dorm to eat dinner, to which Younghoon and Sunwoo eagerly agreed.

Meanwhile, Chanhee had overpowered you and you were now the one under him suffering from his tickles. He didn’t stop until you admitted that he was your bias. Once you escaped, however, you quickly stated that he was your The Boyz bias but that V was still your ult before running away.

He chased after you but you caught Sunwoo in time before he left. Hiding behind him, you squealed as Chanhee tried to shove him out of the way. Feeling pity for Sunwoo who was stuck in the middle, Younghoon swatted your boyfriend away as Changmin smacked him to calm down.

“You two are so childish,” Changmin scolded. “Especially you, Chanhee. You lose all cool when you’re with Y/n.”

“Seriously. What happened to the level headed hyung I used to know?” Sunwoo shook his head.

“He lost his rationale when he hit his head falling for her,” Younghoon teased.

“Hey! Leave my baby alone,” you jokingly frowned, stepping in front of Chanhee with opened arms to protect him.

The trio groaned, fed up with the couple. You laughed as they shooed you two away and insisted that they eat separately. So with Chanhee’s arms wrapped around your torso, you watched as they walked off. Once they were gone, you glanced at him to silently ask what he wanted to eat.

He shrugged, leaving you to decide the menu. You scrolled through the delivery app on your phone, searching for a suitable meal.

“How does ddeokbokki sound?” you asked.

“Sounds great,” he said as he placed another peck on your cheek.

Borahae Slimes Haul #2 Review!

Dean ( @eternalseokjin​ ) restocked with some new slimes, so of course I had to snatch a few!

Full disclosure, Dean is my friend and knew my birthday recently passed so he gave me some extra goodies (a free full slime, extra candy, and I’m pretty sure the amount of photocards and stickers were extra too lol. Dude gave me 3 Yoongi photocards because he knows how soft I am for that man) with this because he’s just amazing and sweet like that ^-^ Thank you, Dean!

I was lucky for the order to come really quickly, especially during this time of year. And once I started opening up the package, I got so excited! He didn’t tell me he had added Until Spring for free as a birthday gift, so it was such a pleasant surprise! (And a surprise blessing with the extra containers as well, for reasons I’ll explain later). Keep reading for a detailed review with pictures!

Also. my apologies for the pictures not being more condensed. Every time I attempted to adjust them on mobile, tumblr decided to give me an error so... ugh lol.

I’ll Show You

I’ll Show You is themed after the song ‘Magic Shop,’ and has such a lovely, relaxing scent. It comes with little iridescent flakies (if you’re a fan of Simply Nailogical like Dean and I, you’d probably call it Unicorn Skin) that are optional to put in, as well as a key charm. The flakies do somewhat poke your hand while you play with it, but it’s not hard at all so unless you have very sensitive hands I don’t see it being a problem.

The color is a gorgeous iridescent cream, and the flakies add another really nice layer to it as well. It’s a very beautiful slime, and I easily see myself taking it out when I’m having a rough day because of how lovely and calming the chamomile and lavender scents are.

Anpanman

The slime is themed after the song of the same name and comes with a  custom-made clay charm with a comic-style onomatopoeia (recommended to NOT store inside the slime). The version I bought is the Bingsu one, since I didn’t know if I’d enjoy larger blocks being in my slime.

There is an option to leave it unscented to keep the clear slime from getting cloudy/tinted by it, but I really LOVE the blue raspberry jolly rancher scent and am so glad I opted to keep it! I enjoy the soft crunchy texture to the Bingsu, and this slime is just jam packed with them so it’s super satisfying to play with!

Until Spring

This one is themed after ‘Spring Day,’ and comes with 4 individually packaged colors which you can mix as you please, and a snowflake charm. One is a thick white snow fizz, the pink a bingsu (not quite as packed as Anpanman), and the blue and purple are clear-based slimes. The metallic shimmer of the blue is GORGEOUS, and I almost feel guilty for blending it all into the overall mixture.

The end result is this beautiful pastel purple, with the sporadic snow fizz and pink bingsu adding a unique texture. The smell is also very soft and lovely.

Sweet Life

Sweet Life is themed after BTS’ recent single, ‘Dynamite!’ The clay donut and record charm (again, recommended to NOT store inside the slime) are both handmade by Dean, and it also comes with a small bag of fake sprinkles. The donut came wrapped in plastic wrap and inside a smaller plastic tub than the slimes. And the slime itself is a very sweet scent - a little too strong to me personally, but nothing I can’t handle.

Alright, now this is the only hiccup I had in the order, so I’ll explain what happened. 

While I did think something was a bit odd when I tore the donut in half, I didn’t pay enough attention before I started trying to mix it with the slime. It turns out, the container the donut was shipped in ended up getting cracked during shipment, and the clay had half dried by the time it got to me. So it was rather hard trying to mix that part into the slime. You might be able to tell in the second picture above, that there are chunks hardly mixed, if at all, into the slime.

Knowing that it was because the container ended up cracked doesn’t personally make me too concerned that others would have the problems I did. I spoke with Dean about it, and he helped me figure out what to do. The part I already started mixing with the slime started to absorb moisture from it and became softer and easier to work with as I let it just sit for a bit. The other half, I put into a (not cracked, airtight) container and poured just a bit of water on it. I let it sit while I was working with Until Spring, and periodically went back to it to mix up the slime or knead the water into the clay to help it along.

It didn’t take too long before it was able to all mix together and I ended with my final slime! I really love the texture. It’s really thick, almost like a putty and super satisfying! Also a side note, Dean said he isn’t quite sure how the slime he used for making his shop post ended up so brown, because his personal slime of this also ended up a similar shade of a blue-gray to mine. I do really like the color though, it’s a neat muted, almost teal color.

And this is where the extra containers due to the four individual slimes for Until Spring came in handy, since the tub containing the donut was cracked. I was able to use the little 2 oz containers for the rest of the slime that wouldn’t fit in the big container after mixing in the clay, so I didn’t need to go finding something else to put it in. What a happy little coincidence!

Extra Slime - Anpanman Block version

The extra slime I got this time was a sample of the block version of Anpanman, probably because Dean knows I’m new to exploring different types of slime and wanted to let me try it out. I can say that I’m glad I got the Bingsu one in my purchase, but I also don’t hate the chunky blocks as much as I thought I might. It’ll still be a very nice one to fiddle with here and there.

So overall, I’m incredibly happy yet again! I don’t blame Dean for the hiccup with the clay donut, since the tub getting cracked most likely happened in shipping - and everything was very well packaged, wrapped in bubble wrap and then tissue paper, and in a padded mailer so he did everything he could to try to keep it safe. And besides, although it was extra work, it still blended into the slime in the end so I’m happy :)

Kpop merch: a UK buying guide 🇬🇧💜

Top 5 places to get kpop merch and albums in the UK

Hi! I live in the UK (as you may have guessed) and support many different groups, but since I first became a kpop fan it's been really hard to find affordable and responsible sources for merchandise. It seemed like everything came from America or South Korea, which can be pretty expensive when you add shipping and import and also isn't super eco conscious (I know most things are shipped in bulk but I still like to buy locally if I can). Plus sometimes it's hard to tell if the site is really legit.

You see new merch releasing online, look it up and it's only available from Singapore for the small price of your life savings and first born child...I'm sure I'm not the only UK fan who's been pretty confused by it all 😅

But recently I've found some great places, mostly based in the UK and slowly but surely my collection is growing and my room is getting happier 😊 It took a while to find these because they're not big/popular places but I've found them great so if you're a UK based fan I'd recommend giving them a try. Here goes!

1) Oxfam online shop (Charity Shops)

Huh, charity shops? Do they even know what kpop is? Well, no, but that doesn't mean they don't stock it 😂 Charity shops are everywhere over here, you probably have a few at least in your nearest town and they stock a pretty random selection of stuff, so you never know what will be there.

I recommend Oxfam in particular. If you check out their online shop and scroll through the music section (there's no kpop section and it won't turn up any search results but sometimes 'korean' works) you'll find a pretty good selection of albums including Jay Park, BigBang, 2ne1, Orange Caramel, Block B, AOA, ZE:A, KARA and more.

The best part is that, apart from of course being a sustainable and ethical way to shop, the person listing doesn't always seem to know how much these albums are worth so you can get a bargain. You might even find some rare albums that you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. For example, this signed and sealed B.A.P album is still for sale on their site

I bought these ASTRO albums from the Oxfam site for a LOT less than it would have cost me elsewhere, especially because they're both signed and unopened!

2) Depop

Another perhaps more sustainable choice because it's second hand, Depop has some gems if you dig around a bit. Be sure to check the seller reviews so you know they're trustworthy, but so far I've only had good experiences. You can message sellers directly, get bundles to save on shipping and it's just a nice personal experience. My last order was packaged so nicely I thought it was from a friend, and it came with freebies too!

You can also get fan merch too, I got some lovely art prints for only a few pounds! (Felt like robbery to be honest 😅)

3) Oseyo

Oseyo is a 'Korean food and culture hub', with shops and shops/cafes at multiple locations. If you stop by the Waterloo hub you can get hot Korean food to eat in while watching kpop on the TV, buy snacks and ingredients to take home and they have a few albums and cosmetics in store too.

The location is Soho has no hot food but is a supermarket so there's a much wider choice of snacks, ingredients, general home supplies and merchandise. I haven't been to any others but apparently there's one in Manchester with a lot more kpop merch.

I got this calendar from the Soho location, and from the Waterloo one I've bought albums and face masks.

They don't have their own website, but direct online shoppers to 'hmart'. Currently the kpop section seems empty but you can get food there

4) Sokkolab

Sokkolab is an independent shop in London run by kpop fans. It's only been open for a year, but has a good selection of merchandise from different groups, new releases and cosmetics. The shop itself is quite small but still had good stuff, and they're moving to a bigger location soon with seating.

The staff are really nice, the playlists are good and they run events during concert season (SuperM one soon I think) so definitely check them out.

You can order online, including preorders for new releases. I've ordered online as gifts for friends before, and it got here fast although there was a little too much packaging (I'm sure they'll work on that though, they hadn't been open that long).

I also went to the store itself in London, which was really sweet and I got some good stuff even though a lot of it had sold out recently and they were awaiting new stock. I had some birthday money from family and managed to get more than I thought I would for my money, including TXT's The dream chapter: Magic which I'd been trying to get for ages. It had technically sold out but the cool person working there gave me a copy that they had under the counter.

5) Redbubble (for fanmade merch)

I love this site because you can find merchandise for pretty much anything, with art designed by fan artists and printed on the items that you choose. You won't struggle to find your favourite group here! Of course it's not offical merch, but I find them particularly good for stickers, which make good gifts in the post to friends or easy decoration for walls (the vinyl peels off with no marks), device cases etc. They often have deals on so keep an eye on the website.
