#saw this docuseries recently about the younger dryas#which was a worldwide series of natural disasters likely caused by a series of space debri hitting the glaciers of the iceage#and how theres massive archeological sites dating back as far as the younger dryas -- thousands of years before the official#first known time humans started making structures#and it makes a lot of sense really.#hunter gatherers would migrate with their food source (animals or seasonal plants) but some of them would stay in specific territories#and also#they need somewhere to return? they need a specific meetup point that says 'okay we're going to come back here because this is our area'#i think its a netflix doc#ancient apocalyse or something#the host is kind of a douchebag but he raises a lot of reallllly interesting points#really blew my idea of human history out of the water
