I think Cory's real gay awakening would've been having a huge crush on one of his favorite baseball players
#like way before he realizes anything substantial about life or shawn#he'd have the biggest crush on one of the guys on his baseball cards#funnier even if the guys not the BEST player ever something just resonates with cory. ofc this is just all ur standard hero worship#hes just a dedicated baseball fan!1!!#i imagine him going to a game eventually once hes a bit older and it finally hits him#and i feel as though as he continues to get older he'd be kinda nostalgic about it always keeping some memorabilia of the guy around#cory matthews#boy meets world#but also i could see him just taking a huge interest in a actual baseball player at his school or something#ofc he'd only find the guy so cool and scary for totally normal baseball related reasons
