wrt last reblog I think being non-judgmental about kink has a great side effect of making it fun not just for the people who participate in and enjoy all sorts of kinks... but also those who hate some of them.
The concept of "squicks" (things in stories, including kinks, that you just really can't stand because of personal taste) used to be a waaaaay bigger thing in fandom culture and it made it so much more low-stakes to be a hater. The move towards moralizing your personal taste has taken all of the fun out of ragging on things that bother me. I miss the days when I could say I can't stand a certain kink and it would be COMMONLY understood to be more akin to "I can't stand red onions" (morally neutral but makes the whole salad unpalatable to me personally) than to "I can't stand fascism" (actually evil, hurts people in real life)
now I gotta be like "no offense to the people who like [kink] but I don't like it, but it's ok if it's your thing, and part of that is because it reminds me of [real life upsetting thing] but I'm not saying that people who like [kink] are supporting [real life upsetting thing] but I just personally-"
it's exhausting but it always has to be said because the kink moralizers have made such clarification necessary. sigh
please, please, let being a hater be fun again
#omg yes#perfectly said#bring back “squick”#well if you're me it never left#but the children need to learn this instead of complaining about ao3#i'm tired

Remember, folks, you can't spell "White Christian Nationalism" without "White Nationalism"! (or without Christian!) Rascism is the entire base of the movement. White Supremacy and Antisemitism (and more like them) are what their beliefs are built upon. We can't oppose them for their anti-queer rhetoric and actions but turn a blind eye to their racism and antisemitism. All means All!!
HELP 😭

#antisemitism#racism#queerphobia#queer stuff#(not to make it about queer people- that's just my usual posting space)#solid

the sunshine transmasculine flag
was very bored last night. don’t really like the any of the transmasc flags floating around so i made myself a little transmasc flag with a sun representing masculinity the way the sun is masculine. note that this flag is for anyone who relates their gender to the term “transmasculine”, including but not limited to binary or nonbinary trans guys, nonbinary butch lesbians, transmasc nonbinary ppl, etc. if you like/use this pls lmk bc i just made this for myself but i would love for others to find meaning in it!!
here are the stripe meanings!!!
burnt orange/red: the multifaceted nature of transmasculine identity, such as an individual’s relationship (or lackthereof) to femininity and womanhood, their lack of gender, nonbinary gender, and/or multitudes of gender, and the intersection of gender and sexuality (such as nonbinary lesbianism). represents each individual’s own definition of their trans identity and the beauty in its potential complexity, multiplicity, and wholeness.
light orange: represents transmascs finding happiness and fulfillment in all areas of our lives. also represents gender euphoria and the happiness trans identity brings
yellow: represents the transmasc community in general, and emphasizes our connections, love, and mutual aid. this stripe also represents t4t relationships and uplifting fellow transmasc voices, especially those of us who are the most marginalized (including but not limited to transmascs who are poc, disabled, poor, fat, etc).
light green: represents transition in all aspects of the word. does not necessarily represent medical transition (medical transition is not necessary to be transmasculine), but does represent transition in whatever way the individual thinks of their own transition. highlights positive change within our lives.
dark green: represents each transmasc individual’s unique connection and relationship to masculinity. highlights positive, wholesome relationships to masculine identity and/or presentation.
yellow circle/sun: the symbol of the sun- sunshine, wholeness, happiness, and light. represents being masculine in the way the sun is masculine. highlights the brightness of healthy masculinity

Yuri and LGBTQ+ Manga, Anime, and Games to Enjoy this Pride Month
Manga and Comics
I’m in Love with the Villainess
Ordinary office worker Oohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution. To her delight, the first person to greet her is also her favorite character, Claire Francois―the main antagonist of the story! Now, Rei is determined to romance Claire instead of the game’s male leads. But how will her villainous ladylove react to this new courtship?!I’m in Love with the Villainess is an exceptionally queer light novel that openly discusses many aspects of the LGBTQ+ community. It openly labels many of its characters as gay, transgender, or queer and represents LGBTQ+ people and families in a positive way.
Always Human
In the near-future, people use technology to give the illusion of all kinds of body modifications-but some people have “Egan’s Syndrome,” a highly sensitive immune system that rejects these “mods” and are unable to use them. Those who are affected maintain a “natural” appearance, reliant on cosmetics and hair dye at most to help them play with their looks.Sunati is attracted to Austen the first time she sees her and is drawn to what she assumes is Austen’s bravery and confidence to live life unmodded. When Sunati learns the truth, she’s still attracted to Austen and asks her on a date. Gradually, their relationship unfolds as they deal with friends, family, and the emotional conflicts that come with every romance. Together, they will learn and grow in a story that reminds us no matter how technology evolves, we will remain … always human.
