𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝘂𝗼𝘀

Includes — Headcanons, all members, S/D dynamics, degradation, praising.

Author's Note — As I have some free time, let me enlight you with a couple of my opinions regarding threesomes with the exact same dynamic as this post. Please, enjoy and let me know what you think! English isn't my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes in advance.

💌 Minho and Seungmin

The versatiles. Of course this pair was going to make it somewhere in this list, especially because this dynamic it's so like them. The best thing about this duo is that I feel they can switch between roles easily —they both have it in them to be either a soft or a hard dom, and I think that's fascinating.

A threesome with them could go both ways: Minho degrading you and Seungmin praising you, or viceversa —Seungmin degrading you whilst Minho tries to soothe his harsh words with sweet talk and compliments. This duo could turn sex into a competition, but they don't. They would rather work together to make you enjoy the moment, rather than to prove something to the other. Nevertheless, I feel like they're both possessive and get easily jealous, so they would try to get you to choose between them two from time to time, just for the sake of feeling proud.

Finally, I sense a lot of dumbification in this dynamic —either they're praising you or degrading you, I feel like both would use some elements of dumbification in their words with you.

💌 Hyunjin and Jisung

A playful, careless duo.

In my opinion, Jisung's competitiveness for power would drive him to be the degrading dom in this one —he has certain dominance and he has no fear in demonstrating it, especially when he knows you adore it. Being as cocky and confident as he is, while paired with Hyunjin he definitely goes all in. He cares a lot about your feelings, though, so the aftercare he provides is heavenly. He takes pride in doing things right, so don't doubt he is the best at everything he does.

Hyunjin, on the other hand, likes some contrast. He lets Jisung be as rough as he wants, as long as he is right there with you, holding your hand and peppering kisses on your forehead and cheeks, praising you for taking everything they're giving you, and telling you how beautiful and valuable you're throughout the whole process.

The best thing about this pair? Is how pleasing you can turn into a competition for both of them —whilst Hyunjin makes sure to treat you right just like you deserve it, Jisung focuses on treating you exactly how you like it.

💌Changbin and Felix

The experimentalists. They've tried everything at least once with you, have explored every dynamic from a to z until finding what they like best. And despite Changbin's dark and intimidating demeanor, you'd be surprised to know that he is actually taking the role of a soft, nurturing dom when paired with Felix in a threesome. Changbin is the type to hug you and hold you down for his friends, arms tightly wrapped around your body while his legs forces yours open. He'd whisper in your ear and tell you how good you're being for both of them, how you deserve the entire world and how willing he is to give it to you. Meanwhile, Felix loses no time into putting some contrast to his friend's words —a playful smirk hiding on the corners of his lips everytime he tells you how much of a slut you are, or how drunken on their cocks you've become. They both work great together, because the lovingly, sweet side of one balance the rough aspects of the other.

💌 Chan and Jeongin

They're all about learning.

For this specific duo, I picture Chan as someone with much more experience than Jeongin, in a way where he can teach his friend a thing or two.

Like Jisung, Jeongin goes all the fucking way in, not holding himself back in the slightest. Of course, this only after you've discussed and negotiated everything beforehand !

I picture him as the teasing, mocking kind of hard dom, one that enjoys degradation and humiliation much more than he would admit. I also feel he's into objectification, along with degradation, so expect a lot of "you're nothing but a sex toy for us" kind of comments from him while he fucks any of your holes.

At the same time, Chan would try to compensate his friend's hostility with some sweet, dirty talk. He is the type to hold your hand and wipe off your tears while Jeongin is mercilessly pounding into you, whispering sweets "one more, yeah? you're making us feel so proud, I know you can give us one more" kind of compliments.

For this duo, I feel like Chan is, between the two, the one with the absolute control. They're both asserting dominance and all, but I feel like he is the one leading the way for the two of you, especially when it comes to limits.

Summary: Returning to previous ways of life always comes with complications. Yours has an attitude and goes by the name of Frank.

You don't know how many times you've abused the replay button by now, but your thumb returns to it without fail each time the video feed ends — a never ending loop, and it's up to you to break it. But, you know that once you do, you won't be able to sit still.

And Sam Collins isn't home yet. He's had a busy day.

You spent the first hour of staking out his place in wonderment. Last week, his life was normal. He was the average point of his demographic, and maybe even doing a little better than could've been expected given his background. He was enrolled in the local community college and had a steady job for three years at the only repairs shop in town. They do a little bit of everything. So does Sam, you suppose. He wakes up without a firearm permit on a Saturday, and that same day robs a bakery three towns away and shoots an old woman in the chest. Versatile guy.

The second hour — or rather, the first quarter of that second hour — was spent getting his girlfriend out of the house and inadvertently out of his life. All it took was a brief phone call with a sultry greeting by a woman's voice and she stormed off not long after, suitcase in tow. The neighboring houses were next, your supply of knockout gas swiftly depleted on the two families. The use of incapacitating agents with an expiration date four years in the past is dubious at best, and you hope the adverse effects will be limited. It's a good neighborhood with good people, not unlike yours. Neither you, nor him, deserve it.

Halfway through the third hour, you were done inspecting the inside of his house for weapons and blocking all electronics on a 900-foot radius. Signal jammers are still cheap six years after you've last used one, a discovery that doesn’t surprise you in the slightest. Returning to this kind of life is as easy as it’s always been, a built-in failsafe for all those thinking their path could somehow deviate. You'll have to see about other items, but for now, you're as close to your goal as you can get by yourself. All that's left is for him to come to you, the end of a strict work-home routine he's kept for the past week nearing. Now, you can finally breathe.

It's strange. You're at ease in a place you're not supposed to be, doing something no sane person does. You're comfortable in a way you haven't been in years. Visiting the range now and then doesn't help— at most, it takes the edge off. There's no satisfaction in putting holes through wood or paper, no success in taking down a target that's meant to be there. That suspicion you've always had can't be ignored anymore. You really aren't made of the same stuff as other people, and you'll never have the life they do. You talked yourself into that fantasy last time, and where did that get you? Back where you started: an injustice happens, it's your fault, and everything unravels. Even if you don't go looking for it, it always finds you. Cryptic words spoken by a gruff voice surface in your memory.

Once it starts, that shit never ends. It follows you everywhere. Every goddamn place you set foot in.

Nice. Prophetic, even.

The man wasn't wrong, on the face of it. Whatever he saw when looking at you that day, he clocked it without hesitation. He witnessed the tell-tale signs of aggression and regret and blistering anger, and he called it out with no pretense or judgment. Although, he was mistaken about one thing: the assumption that it hadn't already started, whatever this is. Your obsession, your curse? God's plan for you, if you believed in that sort of thing? You're not sure why he was trying to prevent you from going down this road back at the bakery. Did he think it would be your first time taking a life? Would he have said anything if he'd known it wasn't? A sigh sinks you further into the only armchair in Sam Collins' living room.

The replay button disappears under your thumb once more, and you've already memorized every inch of the space displayed on screen, every movement contained within it. The angle providing the best view comes from the camera right above your doormat, one nestled inside the wooden awning. Hazel's head is covered with her favorite scarf, the one her nephew had sent during his travels across India along with a bracelet for you, a sign of gratitude for the care you offered the only relative he had left. His grandmother had told him anecdotes about you, like she told anyone around town who would lend an ear.

You watch her try to prevent your house from being broken into, or so she thinks. You listen as she tries to shame the man into leaving, and then feel as your phone vibrates with the sound of the gunshot. She falls forward into the arms of her killer, and he drops her like she isn’t worth anything, a weak cry bellowing from the speakers as contact with the floor breaks fragile bone. Her head cracks open and pained moans are muffled into the ground. Wood creaks as rapid footsteps depart from the scene. Hazel's breaths keep coming for seventy-two seconds, and she falls quiet not long before they stop. The replay button taunts with its reincarnation. Your eyes close again, just like the first time you saw it.

A quarter hour more passes as you sit with your thoughts, and then, things begin to happen. It's almost 1 AM when the rumble of an engine comes to a halt in the driveway, matching what you expect his car, an '09 Subaru Impreza, to sound like after fourteen years of use. Sam’s weekend shift at the new diner is over and he has come home to another night of hypervigilance and paranoia, because today marks one week since he took his first life. You put away the phone and replace it with the suppressed Kimber, the same one you should've used when you first laid eyes on him.

It'll be simple. Clean. You'll air out your grievances and then it'll be over. This isn't like Auckney, and it isn't like Houghton, Roanoke, or Fargo. You aren't pretending you can return to the bakery and your quaint two-bedroom suburban house anymore, dragging out your days until the merry-go-round starts up again. You'll always end up back here, so why expect you'll ever do anything different? You like this. It's something you can do, and do well. If you aren't allowed an alternative, either by design or sheer bad luck, then you'll embrace the only thing that makes sense. This is who you are. It's who you've always been, and you see it clearly now that the fog of domesticity and kindness has dissipated for the final time. So you sit there in the dark, a phantom, because you want him to see too. You want him to wonder if his eyes are playing tricks on him, because reality would be too cruel. You want him to look at you and realize that he's right to feel the weight of what he's done and to glance over his shoulder at every turn. Most of all, you want Sam Collins to know it does follow you, and that for him, it's arrived without delay.

You're watching the short hallway before the front door, gun propped up against the velvet arm of the chair, a perpendicular line of sight granting the best opening. And then footsteps arrive— not from the entrance, but from the other end of the hallway. Quiet, gentle… expectant. Your eyes snap to in the second before a voice like a rumble fills the room.

"Didn't I tell you not to do this?"

One single breath has time to leave you before a man comes into view. You train the gun on him instinctively, knowing you don't have time to get to your feet if he's carrying.

But, he isn't. He has nothing in either hand, which you can be sure about because he's keeping both palms spread open and level with his head, the same gesture he adopted last time you had a weapon pointing at him. You're rattled, and you aren't so confident it doesn't show.

How the fuck is he here?

You run through several common-sense deductions in the brief time it takes him to come to a standstill in the middle of the hallway directly across from you. He's here. He's here , which means he's been following you and every movement you've made for the past week. His question leaves no doubt— he knows what you're here to do. He managed to enter the house without tripping any of your alarms. You don't want to risk it and take your eyes off him, but it's hard to resist the brief glance out the window to your left. You bite the inside of your cheek almost in punishment. It isn't a 2009 Subaru Impreza that's occupying the driveway, but a black tactical van with annex lights mounted overhead and no visible brand insignia.

He parked in front of the house , and you were so arrogant you didn't even fucking check that the right person had arrived. Your finger caresses the trigger.

"Don't do that. I'm not here to hurt you."

Both your eyebrows raise involuntarily. You've yet to take control of your body's reactions, and every second that passes makes it feel like the upper hand is being transferred to him, even if you’re the one holding the gun. While he's standing there in jeans and a button-up, casually looking like he has all the time in the world, you're becoming more and more aware of each moment that led to this fiasco. The way he's watching you without clear intent adds to your ire. He's as calm as can be and you're descending into chaos. It makes you seethe, and you haven't forgotten about the main problem.

"Where is he?" you ask, jaw so tense your teeth barely unclench.

Again, you're both on the same page. You don't need to say the name, and he sure as shit doesn't need to pretend he has no idea what you mean. His gaze remains impassive as it devours you. It feels like his eyes are trailing every inch of you, from the tense shoulders to the feet aching to stand, and especially your hands.

"Told him to take off. Leave town for a while," he says, the tiniest movement suggesting a shrug.

Your eyes lock on to his with renewed violence. You trigger one shot next to his head, lead embedding in the drywall behind him. Left-side, two inches.

You can’t accept that the situation isn't in your control anymore, because you aren't able to get over the fact that he didn't even flinch. Instead, his gaze has become even more unbearable, skewering you in place. He's doing everything a person might do to communicate just how unimpressed they are. You don't know how to respond besides letting off another shot. Your breathing is now audible in the otherwise quiet room. Left-side, half an inch.

"Alright. You feel better now? Want another go?"

He's mocking you with an amused drawl, threatening your composure even further by pretending to lower his hands.

"Tell you what— Why don't I just take off a finger?" you sneer at him, unable to sit down any longer and rising to your feet. The living room isn't that large. Only seven or so of his steps would be enough to close the distance between you.

"Nah. If you were gonna do that, you'd have done it already. You can put that down. If I wanted to hurt you, I would've shot you through the window."

What he doesn't say is that he could've done it at any time in the past week that you'd been unaware of his presence, and he doesn't say it precisely because he knows you know. Again. The harsh grip on the Kimber is starting to cramp your hand, but you can't relax.

"Look. I meant what I told you back there. Hell, I spent all week wonderin' what the hell I'm doing, getting involved in shit that's none of my business. Maybe I should've let you do what you feel you have to do. But if you're going to take a life, I'm here to ask you to reconsider . "

You say nothing, because it's hard to find something to say in response to things you can't believe you're hearing. He's here to make you reconsider. He's arguing from the wrong end of the gun for a man whose only future is death by your hand, and you can't figure out what would motivate him to do such a thing. The question that leaves your lips makes his quirk upwards.

"Who the fuck are you?"

"Frank," he answers with a grim smile. "Don't suppose you'll tell me who you are?"

He's mocking you. Of course. It's not like he doesn't know — just like he's known everything else so far. A bitter scowl fights to take over your features.

"Hey, Frank ? I'm giving you one minute to tell me where Sam Collins went, and I'm being generous."

"Wow. Thank you," he says dryly, and you've had just about enough of his attitude.

"No, really. Remember that trigger itch? What's your plan for when time runs out on it?"

"Are you a vet?" he counters with his own question, completely ignoring your threat.

You wonder if you're dealing with some kind of lunatic. His eyes narrow, but his expression remains serene. He hasn't lost an inch of his composure, and yet you feel something lurking beneath that resolute surface.

"Wha—"

"Military. D'you ever serve?" he clarifies, and you could swear his voice has changed. There's something imbibing every word of a very simple question, and you don't understand it or why he's even asking at all.

"What's it matter to you?" you deflect.

"It matters because that Warrior you're pointin' at me is issued to US Marine Corps only, and unless you served or took it off a dead Marine, ain't no way you'd have one."

It's hard to mask the tension once his words are left to hang in the air between you, and you suddenly become even more aware of how much your arms are aching. You've never played the long game like this, and there's never really been cause for aiming at someone and not shooting. Conversations like this are not part of your life experience, colorful as that may be. Although, they do seem to be part of his. Whoever Frank is, you get the impression he's about as single-minded and relentless as a person could get, and something within you is repelled by the notion of being in his presence. It's the way he exudes restraint and rage in equal measure that twists sharp metal between your ribs and leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. It's his posture, rigid yet somehow at ease, that makes your cheek tingle without the ringing echo of a slap to accompany it. You don't like the way he looks at you. You don't like how familiar it all is. Something spills forward that you have no chance of catching, and the damage is already done.

"I didn't take it off a dead Marine. A dead Marine left it to me after he blew his brains out with it," you spit out with no preamble, look so poisonous it'd be useful in a bottle.

His turn comes to say nothing in response to your mindless confession, but he doesn't have to speak in order to reveal exactly what he's thinking. You gather it all from his eyes as he stares you down.

"I take it he didn't do that out in the field."

His voice is the roughest you've heard it thus far. Your arms hold in them a deep ache but you don't know how to lower the gun, the very thing that seems to have brought him to you in the first place. He remarked on it the first time you met too. You couldn't have known he recognized its origins.

"Made no difference in his mind where he was," you speak as evenly as you can. "Just like it makes no difference that you're here. I won't reconsider. I don't care where Collins ran off to, or how far he's gotten. He took something from me. There's nowhere he can go where I won't find him."

The words help reinforce your conviction, and they also seem to resonate with him. Either that, or he wasn't very adamant about persuading you to reconsider in the first place, because he isn't showing any signs of annoyance at your declaration. He doesn't reply or refute it in any way. There’s no fight. If anything, he seems passive — not quite defeated, not quite determined to try again. It's all the same to you. Getting away from him and towards your goal is the only thing you care about. Enough time was wasted here.

You breathe in slowly, and when you look at him next, your mind locks on to a singular path.

"Frank? Turn around."

Judging by the crinkling of his eyes, your request amuses him.

"Gonna shoot me?" he grumbles, lowering his arms another inch.

"That depends on you. Now, you're going to turn around, walk out that door and get in your van. I want you to drive off into the sunset, never to be seen again. I've no reason to hurt you. But if you get in my way again, I'll have a reason. We clear?"

His mouth turns up in a half-smile. For perhaps the first time since meeting him, you don't find his expression as condescending as the rest of him.

"In that case, we might have a problem."

Your finger caresses the curved edge of the trigger.

"And why's that?"

There's fire in his eyes as well as in his words.

"Because the man you're looking for is in that van. And you should know…" His arms come to rest by his sides. There is a subtle tremor in your own. "His name isn't Collins— it's Huerta . You kill him, and you'll be starting a war."

actually what i think would be fun is if ingo and emmet were both some kind of like, sun/light mage but they went in wildly different directions with it. like if light in this fantasy world is the expression of both truth and ideals—which i think is very appropriate, you've got this connotation of "guiding light" and simultaneously "cast light on" as a force to expose secrets—almost like sunlight vs moonlight or something. anyway.

i love when a school of magic is extremely versatile so i think light should be that. light as healing magic is classical, that's one of ingo's strong suits. and then like, compelling the truth, from people or objects. speak with dead? mind reading? cast the light and see what it reveals. i think they're both good at that. and then if ingo's the better healer, on emmet's side you've got lightning and fire, that kind of thing, light as a force that damages. but i think if both of those are their own subdomains, pure light on the offensive is like.

i mean it's pure, both lightning and fire are already such powerful runaway forces, light when it isn't diluted in the slightest- it wants to get out. light wants to shine and burn and immolate, if you tell it to harm instead of heal it wants to destroy. so many light mages are healers not because that's what the element lends itself to necessarily, but rather because light is simply so overwhelming that it's easier to use those healing spells—and even then, most people prefer like, green magic for that, only using light on things that aren't alive, most people reserve light healing for like, resurrection, or something else that requires some juice, because if you're just trying to mend a wound it's so easy to go overboard. it's a mistake most people only take the risk on once.

and then these two are like. just wielding it like it's nbd. pure light magic in both the helpful and harmful aspects is fucking terrifying to anyone who's savvy enough in magic to understand what they're doing. but their control over it is so perfect it's almost surgical. by all rights the kinds of spells emmet casts should completely burn away his opponent and him, but he doesn't even have to do permanent damage if he doesn't want to. what the fuck.

I was reading about Homelander from The Boys and I am just baffled.

He was raised exactly like how we all suspect Sephiroth was. They say he was a sweet kid until he was about 5-6, then tests and conditioning began where his doctors ran experiments to test the limits of his abilities. Surgeries, burning and boiling alive, brutal combat training, hours and hours of strict mental conditioning, etc.. He accidentally killed countless tutors and developed isolation depression + an alternate sociopathic personality to cope with it all. He also had a serious desire for a normal family.

And Homelander is an absolute raging sociopath and cruel abuser in the show even before his heavily foreshadowed “snap.” He acts like how he was conditioned, trained, and raised. He has weird sympathetic moments but he still acts heartless 99% of the time.

There is so much now to suggest Sephiroth would have been raised similarly, especially now after Ever Crisis…but he is…different. He is actually calm, polite, and even kind compared to Homelander. The worst we see him act is just grumpy or aloof. Brutal in battle but never cruel as Cloud says. He doesn’t have an evil sadistic side that slips through.

I am just sitting here thinking, HOW?

I've heard this too, though I haven't read The Boys or actually watched the show. The trope of the unstable lab experiment gone wrong is a pretty versatile symbol in popular culture, so I'm not surprised that their stories are similar.

I think Sephiroth is probably more compelling to me than Homelander (again, coming from someone with no relation at all to The Boys) because while he does some shady and violent things under Shinra, I wouldn't necessarily call him an evil person. Sephiroth earnestly at least tried to be good, or at the very least a good friend and leader. He isn't sociopathic in the slightest. He's still capable of empathy, and being moved by people. He doesn't do what he does out of malice, but more because it's all he knows how to do. And despite being paranoid and distrustful of people, we see that he has a very high capacity for loyalty to his loved ones. Kind of touching how Shinra wasn't able to completely ruin him... that doesn't come until later.

Man I think it's the first time I feel like a hater for the festival, I genuinely hate everything they dropped this time around. The snake looks way underdone in comparison to the rest, branch apparel is copy-pasty (thats fine, I get we have a lot of breeds) and is completely not fit for certain poses and genuinely looks broken (spirals).

The icicle gene is... hhhhh. It's cool it's a tert-saver colorwise but it looks like ass as anything other than ice. Like it doesn't look like anything else and isn't versatile in the slightest. Really wish it was more like crystals/gem fangs, horn extentions, and maybe some covering the limbs. Or just ice aura... 2! Just anything other than snot crust.

Besides jjk, what other media do you like?

Hm, if we're talking about completely different media (not manga, I mean), I'm a pretty big fan of the Warhammer novels, especially Warhammer 40k. I like the universe overall, but I haven't played the ttrpg yet, only watched a match when I was very young, and I still couldn't bring myself to spend loads of money on figures and painting kits....so novels it is. But there's great stuff there, so I'm not complaining in the slightest.

Warhammer has a pretty divisive reputation, in part deserved, but by having Adeptus Mechanicus (ultra-religious cyborgs) and Necrons (pseudo-ancient egyptian space robots) be my favourite sections and avoiding anything Space Marine and Horus Heresy (most popular novel series), I seemed to have dodged the most toxic parts. There are actually parts that I would say are really progressive. It's certainly the only time I've read a novel (Imperator: Wrath of the Omnissiah) with a genderless mc that uses neopronouns and where the story doesn't focus on ver gender/identity.

I just really like how versatile the universe is. Sci-fi with prominent horror elements and an abundance of species and societies, where you can tell basically every kind of story you could think of. The epic battles against Tyranids (space locusts) or Orcs are most commonly known, but you can also have stories about your average citizen in a hive city or some Mechanicus researcher on some far off planet. Stories about non-humans are thankfully also getting more numberous. Recently there was a great book series about Necrons that explored their origins and culture and likened their forceful transformation from humanoids to robots to dysphoria, which was really interesting (there are also actual trans people, a trans woman and a nonbinary person).

What I especially appreciate about Adeptus Mechanicus in particular is that I have an abundance of mad scientist stories, that not only feature the appropreate amount of horror, but also lack tedious romantic subplots (most Warhammer stories do) and also talk about neurodivergency, their negative perception and oppression by the Imperium ("regular humans") and a bunch of gender fuckery. You have vaguely humanoid shaped piles of walking metal with deep booming voices, who use she/her pronouns and everyone roles with it because who would dare to question her? Or there's one Mechanicus ambassador to the Imperium, who used technology to have the appearance of a young attractive man because that makes negotiations easier. We don't know what the ambassador used to look like and it's never considered important. Or a tech priest who gave himself the voice of his favourite opera singer. A tech priestess who made herself an armour with boobs and wide hips. You actually see this big divide in the book reviews. For example, I have read pretty much all Titans (big robots you can pilot but that have their own feral consciousness, kinda like Eva) novels currently out and the majority of them have female leads, prominent female characters or just female pilots in general. It's not a big deal and I never see anyone comment on it in reviews. Then we got a Horus Heresy novel focused on Titans and the Warhammer bros went apeshit because the main characters are a squad of all-women pilots. Calling it man-hating and toxic feminism and all that. To be fair, single-gender pilot squats are pretty rare, I never encountered them before, but it's just one, kinda culty, group of a mother and her daughters (not all biological). And it's really just the pilots who are women. Those Titans, especially the bigger ones, have an entire crew inside for maintenance, assistance, mechanics etc. and those people have all kinds of genders. They also never say they hate men, it's just a tradition. One woman hates one particular man, but that's because he's her ex. Nothing dramatic. But of course those fans don't care. I'm just glad they apparently aren't reading the other novels.

So yeah, bit controversial, but I've read a lot of great Warhammer novels and trans people being Warhammer fans is by now a bit of a meme. I actually had a few dates that started out as "holy shit, another trans person that's into Warhammer!" Quite funny.

Up and Out is a personal favorite to be honest, it holds a special place in my heart. 🥺♥️ It's so rare to find Billy writers on here, most people misunderstand him, even fans and many Billy writers. Wether it be a Billy fan or a Billy hater, he is always seen as either :

a) a horrible abusive being who deserved everything that happened to him. Like for real, some people truly have no empathy for abuse victims, Billy isn't abusive, he is a victim who lashes out, there is a huge gap between the two. Of course lashing out at others isn't the way to go, but I strongly believe that Billy doesn't want to do any of that either, he feels deeply guilty for things he isn't responsible for (like his mother leaving him with his abusive dad) or for things that are beyond his control due to his overactive hypervigilence and trauma responses.

or b) the sex symbol. Like seriously, I know he is beautiful and all, but he is still a teenager. He should not be sexualized the way most people do on here. I rarely ever come across a fic that doesn't depict him as a sex icon. Yes, he is gorgeous, we all know that. Yes, he is hypersexual, we know that. But that's not ALL he is. He is SO MUCH MORE than that. And people forget that his hypersexual behavior is probably the result of some trauma. I feel like he secretly really wants affection, love, hugs and cuddles and validation. He is just too afraid to show the slightest ounce of vulnerability.

or c) the repressed gay sex symbol. Like. Okay, to each their own. But seriously. Him not showing affection towards the girls we saw him with (like Vicky and Tina for example) doesn't mean he isn't interested in women. It means he is a scarred traumatized young boy who doesn't know how to express affection in a healthy way. Just like Jim Hopper. They share some many similarities, it's just insane. Anyways, that's a just a thought.

YES, victims themselves can ALSO in turn become ABUSERS. it's a righteously toxic cycle. you know the phrase, "monkey see, monkey do?" it's very much similar to that. children see what mommy and daddy do, so they think it's acceptable behavior until someone later in life corrects them. but then there's also that phrase, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," so even if you were correct them, odds are, the lesson isn't going to stick because they're conditioned to believe, think, act, feel a certain way. the way the abusers programmed them to be.

it's a concept that i, myself, am still trying to learn. let me explain: i have an older sister who was abused by our mother and the first chance she got, she moved out. their relationship is MUCH better now, but it took years of therapy for my sister to cope with all that had been said and done. however, in therapy, she came to terms with the fact that our mother had been abused by her mother - our grandmother - who had been abused by HER mother - our great-grandmother.

my sister had to teach herself that this cycle was not a reflection on her as a person or as a daughter, but rather this was a generational curse that dates back way-back-when. so while it's like, yeah, our mother was abused by our grandmother, that still doesn't excuse 100% of what my mother did or said to my sister. see what i mean? yeah, my mother's a victim, but she didn't just continue the cycle of abuse but fanned the flames - marking her as an abuser, too. it's not her fault, it's not grandma's fault, it's not great-grandma's fault - it's a societal behavior that has never been kind to women in basically any culture, religion, region, tradition. however this doesn't mean we get to excuse abuse; accountability still needs to be held, wounds need to be healed, and justice needs to be shelled out.

Billy is still a kid, he's excused because he truly doesn't know right from wrong, but it's important to me that i reiterate that my writings are MEANT to romanticize toxic men and relationships. you should not entertain things that are not good for you, things that make you sick, things that cause harm - you do not deserve that kind of turmoil. please stay safe.

God where do I even start. Theres a couple I hate because I've met no shortage of fans that were just Weird about thing to the degree that I no longer want to see the character anymore but first it was Merlin for the way that fandom acted about him but now it's officially Merlin because LB6 confirmed that he is a groomer and genuinely is repulsive 😭 the other one is Romani, not for the same reasons but because I just never gained an emotional attachment to him the way others have I've always been very accepting of his death being a permanent thing. I mean he's Solomon so he's just watching over us elsewhere it doesn't really matter but I never really felt like him as Romani was a character I really Enjoyed to the extent that others did (especially with all the . Jokes . peppered throughout you get the idea)

I've read some Waver introspectives that were pretty good but only one has ever really stuck with me as like a "You really get it" kind of thing

For Fate it's always going to be "X was done dirty/Y should have more screen time!" because the inevitability of a series with this many servants and characters is that some characters will be more versatile and used in more scenes than others, particularly if there's more attention dedicated to fleshing them out as a character i.e. Jalter. And FGO as a series has a very low bar for what it will take as an acceptable depiction of a historical/legendary/mythological figure so sometimes I see people complain and I just kind of think to myself "I don't know how you haven't already just given up on having hope that a character will be depicted with a cultural-historical nuance, we get lucky only every so often..."

...the other complaint I see is "this arc was written bad" but also when people do rewrites assuming that they're on the same level. I've read some atrocious Fate series "fix-it" content that completely misses the overall theme and tone of a story and just kind of... turns it into a bland adventure story with no actual overarching theme and dialogue that isn't compelling in the slightest. I wish people understood that sometimes characters are Not supposed to communicate clearly because it provides necessary conflict. Not every character is going to communicate clearly and concisely and be understood as such... Have a sense of drama... Have a sense of how characters have fundamental Flaws ... and those flaws impact actions and communications... or that they have things to Hide... idk
