weve reached the "relativistic electrodynamics" portion of the undergrad E&M curriculum so were doing a review of special relativity and deriving relativistic momentum, force, operators, etc and wow do i love the math in relativity. its so fun and four-vector notation is real nice. i cant wait for my general relativity class next fall

#i speak #its also crazy because like... were pushing the boundaries of classical EM theory. theres not much more you can do here without QM #this course is last in the 3 course EM chain #and it directly leads into GR and intro to nuclear physics (other 4th year courses) which are themselves introductions to the fields #makes you realize how little you know #anyway next week were seeing the four-vector form of maxwells equations which i am SO excited for. i kind of want to look it up rn #but i dont want to spoil myself
