Currently writing something about Elizabeth Báthory and finding accurate and somehow neutral informations about her is like trying to find a decent career in this current market, it's just not realistic

#for real a solid 85% of what has been written about her is just like 'dude trust me'#and then describe the most ridiculous and sexualised torture you can imagine #i also find a bunch of very modern writers (i mean from after 2000 to 2020 more or less)#who claims she had affairs with women #and it's like..you guys cannot project your mixed fascination and repulsion for bisexual women on random historical figures #or i mean i guess you can they're obviously doing it but it's not good historical writing smfh #seriously i have a lot of opinions about this entire thing but all i'm gonna say for now is wow
