anything else i want you to know about me / my character / my shipping habits:   kuro is, and will always be a very dark character. even if he's a sap, and loves with every fiber of his being ( platonically or romantically ). no, he really does not love in halves, but his love comes with a lot of baggage and a lot of horror & self destructive behavior.  it's complicated, and i really love exploring the positives AND negatives of any ship i have. so--

I've just read Chapter 147 of Kuroshitsuji and I'm really glad that o/Ciel has finally found his resolve! I really thought that Lau was going to betray o/Ciel after that cliffhanger from Chapter 146, but I'm kinda glad that he's on o/Ciel's side. I also do wonder what is going to become of Prince Soma and if he'll ever find out that o/Ciel has a twin brother. Do you check up on manga updates from Yana? If so, did she say anything about when the next chapter for January will be released?

Also, how do you think o/Ciel will fight back to reclaim what he worked for in order to restore his family name? But do you think he will continue playing "Ciel" or start using his real name (if Yana ever decides to reveal it) if he succeeds in defeating his brother? However, considering that Lizzy said she couldn't bear the thought of losing "Ciel" again, how would she react if r/Ciel was defeated? I also hope the Midfords would learn o/Ciel's side of his story eventually...

I really liked the chapter, as well. :) I already assumed that Lau would help our Ciel because I think he takes the side of whoever benefits him best. And our Ciel was a good partner these past years since he let Lau do his business so I don’t think Lau would risk having things changed. I also believe Lau was glad that our Ciel decided to stay and fight for his position. It even seemed to me a bit as if Lau was testing our Ciel when he proposed India or China as a hiding spot. 

The next chapter comes out on January 18th. Kuro chapters are always released on the 18th (except when the 18th is on a Sunday).

And then we might see what plan our Ciel will come up with. He is in a disadvantage since Scotland Yard is searching for him and everyone is still shocked over learning about his lie. However, there are surely still some people who would help him. So maybe our Ciel will first start to gather some allies. Maybe he’ll try to explain things to Soma. Or maybe there will be others trying to reach out for him. The shinigami want to catch Undertaker so maybe there could even be a cooperation between them and our Ciel for the time being. After what happened on the Campania arc both sides might agree that facing Undertaker together might be wiser.

And the Midfords will surely play a role in all this, too. It might be too soon right now for them to take a side. But I’m still waiting for Frances to appear and they all surely would let our Ciel explain his side of the story as well.

As for Lizzy, it would surely be hard for her to lose “Ciel” again but she’ll surely realize that real Ciel isn’t the same person anymore as before (I suppose she’s already in the process of seeing that). So in that sense she wouldn’t really lose him again since the person she knew never really returned. But of course it’s still not easy for her with all the lies she’s being confronted with and with her self-doubts about who her love really belongs to.

Eventually I believe our Ciel will “win” against his twin and I’m pretty sure that real Ciel will have to die again. And then our Ciel can return to his life as Earl. I could see him keeping the name “Ciel” since that’s the person he has become, though it’s still his own version of “Ciel”.

But who knows... Maybe all this will also reveal the truth about what happened that night when the manor was attacked and to who’s really responsible for what happened to the twins and their parents. And that could eventually lead to the conclusion of the contract so it’s possible that our Ciel won’t even have that much time left after his twin is gone again...
