honestly i’m still so incredibly pissed off that they made Sunfyre larger than Syrax in hotd.

like, you’re telling me Syrax, who’s thirty-three years old or possibly older (around the same age as Rhaenyra, her cradle-mate) and was large enough to ride when Rhaenyra was seven, is somehow smaller than Sunfyre, who’s twenty-five at the most and grew up in the dragon pit while Syrax has been on Dragonstone with Rhaenyra since she was sixteen??

i don’t want to hear about sexual dimorphism since it’s directly stated in the book that they couldn’t even tell if dragons had genders or not, and they only classified the dragons who had laid eggs as female.

Me watching Obi-Wan: Oh thank the gods they didn't do the creepy de-aging stuff on Hayden Christensen, I'm tired of actors looking ready to eat my soul in every show and movie because Hollywood wants nostalgia without acknowledging that people age. I had a dream last night where I was watching a live action movie for chainsaw man???? And Aki was barely in it. There was a whole plot going on without him, when he should have been apart of it (since the actual story goes a little bit without him in the beginning) BUT IN MY DREAM DENJI WAS HIRED AS A DEVIL HUNTER BUT AKI WAS STILL NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!! So I’m like “oh okay maybe I just don’t recognize him yet. This is live action. Maybe he’ll look a lil different” que in this GUY who looks NOTHING like Aki. They literally used cgi on this man to make him LOOK MORE like Aki???? And it was horrendous. The cgi was so bad. They tried making Aki look like an absolute Chad with a huge jaw and Elijah Wood kind of blue eyes. And his top knot (which was also cgi????) was just a little tiny itty bitty wisp of hair sticking out at the back of his head. And they added red streaks in his hair????? (The red matched Angel devil’s hair though so that was a lil cute) And he just didn’t talk. He didn’t talk at all. He just stared you with them big ol eyes. Gojo glow in the dark eyes. And I was SO ANGRY LMAO bc I was like “THIS ISNT ACCURATE AT ALL!!! THIS IS WHY LIVE ACTION SUCKS!!!” And then I woke up. Thank you for coming to my dream talk again.

i watched one episode of the new atla show bc i had to see how they did the jet storyline and girl ough it's bad it's so so bad like.... i thought the way that storyline was written in the original was bad but this is so much worse like help. literally taking away key elements to what i feel make him sympathetic and it's just so messy

the 2001 planet of the apes is so good to me. like, the 1968 version will always have a special place in my heart because the makeup magic was... dare i say... very magical, but i liked how the 2001 one leaned into a more biologically accurate angle. like, those are straight up apes. no wonder humans aren’t speaking as a survival tactic, those things could hurt you without even trying. again, the 1968 one was so good and impressive but the fact that taylor could overpower the actors that were playing gorillas was a little jarring lol. which makes sense, cos so much of his escape plan relied on him being strong enough to push people out of the way.

this isn't a complaint btw! they're just people in costumes---they are still very much giving ape, but there wasn't much they could do about that on a physical level. so, when the 2001 had these big hulking gorillas and more accurate looking chimpanzee faces on the screen, i appreciated that detail about the humans exploiting their fear of the water. it leveled the playing field without making the fight against the apes look like a losing battle

watching the pirates of penzance and its so clear everything was filmed on a built set with painted backdrops and the scenery was all painstakingly handcrafted and its so enamoring im obsessed with it
