thinking about thg livvy again and the difference katniss would note between the livvy she met in the capitol vs in d13,,

she would describe livvy in the capitol as being nearly ridiculous- this girl wearing this ridiculous dress and so much makeup katniss can't really discern how old she is at first glance, a girl who's giggling and twirling and can't seem to read the room. she kisses katniss' cheeks and tells her she's even prettier in real life, then scampers over to eat sugar with finnick.

when she sees her in d13, she almost doesn't recognize her as the same person. the standard-issue boots reveal that she's shorter than katniss thought. without makeup she looks her age, fifteen, sixteen,- maybe even younger. she has dark circles under her eyes and wears her hair back with a seafoam green scarf. katniss sees her in the hospital with finnick doing things like cajoling him into eating or running a comb through his hair and she sees her making weapons and plans with beetee. she's snappish and pessimistic, willing to use violence as an answer, funny in a sarcastic kind of way, and much, much smarter than people thought.
