thirty minutes in i dont know if i can finish this. she fills me with rage
#cate blanchett does a great job. she does! but this movie does not actually understand the world it is working in.#so the portrayal of tar is jarring#this is what people think conductors are like. this is even what music lovers think conductors are like#and yet.#and look...loook....i know its impossible to expect a movie (hollywood film!) to depict the classical music world (whole other thing!)#with complete heartfelt accuracy.#clearly they've done their research#but i dont feel it. it doesn't feel right
