Hot take but I think when people are analyzing Elden Ring they completely gloss over the fact that, textually speaking, the Great Runes drove their wielders mad. All of them. So whatever vices they were prone to, or even virtues, those things were blown out of proportion.
Like. Rykard. Leader of Radagon's inquisition force. Obviously not the nicest or most moral man on the block, but I think without his Great Rune he probably would've been content to be an evil politician and help with Ranni's coup and so on. The corruption exacerbated his preexisting nature to the point that he thought becoming the Serpent would be a good idea.
Morgott. While he's probably always been loyal to the Erdtree, his determination to be the last king of Leyndell is weirdly antithetical to his stance that he's a befouled and ungodly thing. Being the Fell Omen to defend the city is one thing, but ruling it and killing all lords-to-be, despite the fact that they're presumably guided by grace and God Herself to the task? That's an interesting bit of heresy, and I'm willing to think that Morgott's pride was exacerbated by his Great Rune to the point that he'd be willing to commit said heresy.
I mention both of them because when people discuss Miquella, they discuss him in a vacuum of like. Two or three other demigods and don't compare the rise and fall of his project to any of the others.
With Miquella, I think he had a plan, and no matter if that plan was genuinely good for anyone else or not his hubris and innate qualities were 100% exacerbated by his Great Rune. He doesn't get rid of it until the DLC, after all, and by that point he's already lobotomized himself. We can't say for sure at what point in the timeline anyone got their Great Runes, but we can say the Great Runes definitely and textually made the demigods worse as people.
Godrick, Radahn, and Morgott all fixated on martial strength, power, and durability. Rykard fixated on consuming the world. Malenia wasn't focused on power as much as she was continuing to fight under any circumstances. Mohg gave of himself so completely that he exists as someone else's blood and his Rune chiefly benefits other people.
Miquella's broken rune protects the player from his direct offensive charm. It's reasonable to assume that it doesn't do whatever it used to do as a whole Rune, but we can still extrapolate that it had a similar corrupting effect on him. Eldritch madness is kind of a running theme of the game.
I'm not going to argue whether Miquella's "good or bad", it's never that simple, but I do think his horrible lobotomy plan was sparked by the influence of trying to contain true godlike power. And that might have something to do with why Ranni discarded hers early on- you can't rely on yourself to be a cool and calculating planner and mastermind when cosmic power is running hot in your veins.

Seven Nightlords for Seven Sins
(Pt. 2/2)
Sloth - Maris: Back to ones that feel a little on the nose. Other than literally applying the sleep status (and hey, I was stoked to see we finally had a sleep boss! I genuinely really liked this fight) Maris is described in the Night of the Fathom relic as living a “drifting… aimless life of floating, camouflaged within its surroundings.” The damn thing doesn’t even really attack you other than the dash, it sends jellyfish minions or water eel things to do that for it (even reflected in its relic, which confers item effects and flask healing to allies! It prioritizes the use of others in place of itself.)
Greed - Libra: Libra is especially interesting because, similarly to Mohg, Rykard, Messmer, and Miquella, it is very clearly a play on some classical depiction or aspect of the Devil. Where the former are that of the Winged Demon, the Tempter and all-Consuming, the Arbiter of God’s Will, and the Fallen Angel respectively, Libra is very obviously a Crossroads Demon. The Goat appearance, the dealmaking, the “Cross Legged” madness thing you get from his relic.
But I think it’s also interesting to note that the “balance” motif surrounding it is also one of corruption. Libra utilizes a “dubious form of alchemy,” using “counterfeit gold” and “beckoning madness.” It’s very telling that Libra goes ballistic and drops the act when you turn around and use madness against it or when you break the sigils it uses as buffs/protection. The “impartiality” facade is more of a “rules for thee, not for me” than anything. Hell, Libra can show up in the overworld, fuck up your stats, and demand you pay to get your health back. That doesn’t seem super fair.
Pride - Fulghor: Fulghor is different from the other Nightlords as his title is not “Champion of Night” but “Champion of Nightglow.” His left arm has been “severed from behind” (per the Night of the Champion relic) and when he grows the goop arm it’s a lot like Gundyr’s Pus of Man phase from Dark Souls 3. He “[falls] to despair” on looking back and seeing that “his companions… had now forsworn the very gods they once served.”
This makes me think Fulghor was actually fighting against the night or at least trying to escape it. If his arm was “severed from behind” and he saw his companion’s resignation when he “looked back,” I wonder if the night caught up to him. He was the last of his companions that the Night would reach, and still he tried to fight it until his second phase. This to me is why he’s described as the “Champion of Nightglow” and “[wields] a sacred form of the Night’s Power.” His “fervor” for his old gods still lingers, and he wishes to remain loyal to them, even as the night eats away at his soul. He’s too stubborn and too proud to give up. He is, like Lucifer, Prince of Pride, a fallen golden champion of the Gods. This can also help explain why his relic boosts guard counters and thrusting counterattacks. He’s retaliatory against the night, rather than originating from a place of service to it.
Envy - Caligo: Caligo’s lore is very similar to Maris’, only seemingly more an active observer than a passive, floating mass. While “envious” may not be the best adjective to describe Caligo, she certainly shares quite a bit with its respective Prince of Hell: Leviathan. Leviathan in Gnostic beliefs would envelop the material world like a sphere (sort of similar to the Norse World Serpent) and was famously used by Thomas Hobbes (in a book of the same name) as a grand metaphor for the omnipotence/all-encompassing nature of government: a beady, watchful eye that cares little for its citizens other than how it can corrupt them to view it in a positive light. This is analogous to Caligo “[peering] down into the world… her eye drawn to a certain cataclysm,” her “great shadowy pair of eyes… said to appear at history’s greatest junctures.”
Caligo’s title of “Miasma of the Night” is also striking, because Miasma stems from a theory of diseased air, also commonly called “Night Air” which is neat!
That’s all for the Nightlords for now until I inevitably think of something else to say for this. I really love each of these bosses and think this game excels at having different priorities for different bosses while still making them fun (again I really liked Maris but I know other people hate it and I can respect that.)
Please let me know if you have other theories or other things you noticed! Do you agree with me? Do you think I’m wrong and would rather reorder them? I’ve been on tumblr a long, long time but only made this blog now so I could have a space to talk about my favourite games with other people. Cheers!

Hi there, I hope you don’t mind the random question but in your mind which fanbase would you say is worse, Elden Ring or Bloodborne in terms of annoying fans. I used to think Bloodborne fans could be bad but holy shit ER fans are something else when it comes to lore discussions. As someone who is pretty active in lore talk with both games do you find one side to be more exhausting to deal with than the other? Obviously feel free not to answer this if you think it might start drama
Honestly? I can't hate Bloodborne fandom enough.
Bloodborne was my first Fromsoft game and one keeping me hostage in terms of fixation for over three years, like I said! And yes, it has incredibly bad, toxic people in it - Maria fans who kept slandering Gehrman despite all the info against their takes, honestly believed there is anything problematic with Gehrmaria, had mental breakdown if anyone dared to see Maria as bi or straight despite her not having canon sexuality, believed that the whole story is either about man bad woman good OR was incredibly misogynist, no between. Close minded, toxic people who would deliberately bait anger and pain with placing their hate in the tags and then play victims when those hurt fans snapped back. Oh, I hate them, and revealing that Gehrman's "creepiness" and "misogyny" was completely and fully translation mistake, as well as pointing out how comes why nothing is wrong with how Doll is dressed with facts, is forever my most valid contribution to the fandom. More so than my ugly childlike fanart or convoluted theories could ever be. But, not THIS is why Bloodborne fandom is worse in my opinion.
Elden Ring fandom introduced not one but SEVERAL annoying and exhausting topics to deal with! I "affectionately" titled especially rabid Malenia and Miquella fans 'Twin Cultists' because this is exactly what their behavior is and have always been! Funny enough, a person who got mad at me for this one was someone who got alienated on Discord server for Miquella fans because owners started to insist that only their headcanons are valid AND admitted to me on feeling unsafe for not shipping Finlenia. I am dead serious! Malenia fans are strikingly similar to Maria pseudofeminist fans in toxicity, Miquella fans are like if you removed all likeable traits of Leda and replaced them with even MORE of undying vitriol for anyone who dares to interpret him as anything but perfect pure radiant sunshine. Mohg triggered a pretty awful discourse between those who insisted he was rapist molester whatever and if you interpret it differently you are insensitive and media-illiterate victimblamer and people who defended him "becoming the very thing they sworn to destroy" as well as also exhibiting cult-like thought control in their circles (they know who they are -_-).
But the DLC has changed things a bit, right? Some Twin Cultists are still spilling vitriol, except now they also claim that writers are bad, not only fans that disagree with them! Still, blessed, deserved vindication finally arrived! But what about others, whose situation never changed? Vitriol towards Godrick is ABSURD. You know how common fandoms L is that they judge and hate female character for something, but when male character did the exact same thing it is humored or justified? Godrick is this, minus the gender difference, yet everyone who points out his actual characteristics and the hypocrisy of his haters gets ridiculed. You thought that his fans would flock together to support each others? No, turns out that pocket are loosers who think people who don't headcanon him as trans are childish and ridiculous and loathe cishet Elden Ring fans in general. Fia and D are caught in the weird discourse loop where one is always simplified and idealized and another is demonized to Hell and beyond, when they both are strongly caught in religious brainwashing of sorts but also are sympathetic in their own right. Ranni's fans and haters both do not know the term of Machiavellian (aka "Ends justify the means" philosophy). She is the worst most evil character in the setting over what crimes she committed in order to protect the world from the problem of potentially anyone being able to grab the laws of nature itself and shape them according to their bigotries and preferences, OR she is a perfect innocent fighter against oppression and people who dislike her Just Hate Women TM. And of course we cannot forget the one above them all! The radiant, omnipresent, eternal!...
Tumblr media
Marika truly brings out the worst of discussions! She has been before SOTE, but you YEARN for pre-SOTE times if you hate OR love her! Not because things changed, but because now discussion can't be avoided. She is THE Elden Ring character who is only ever demonized and idealized. Before SOTE, she was only ever just a tyrant who loves genocide OR simply a puppet of Greater Will (or rather Two Fingers claiming to speak for it as it turned out) who never meant to do that shit and finally heroically rebelled. After SOTE... hahaha, oh boy... we started to deal with the issue of excusing genocide. Her fans will claim into essays and more essays why Hornsent are all fundamentally dangerous race and Marika is merely trying to rid the world of filth that ruins it by sending Messmer. However, demonization didn't quite go away either, and her haters are so angry at writers humanizing her a bit more that they say WRITERS are pro-fascist!
Tumblr media
So, why? I've described such horrid discourse, when Bloodborne fandom sounds like it simply has a few bad apples in comparison! What can be worse than Elden Ring fandom, after a description like this? Yeah, you see... Elden Ring fandom is thorn by awful arguments and discourse, it is hostile and dangerous for your mental health if you are invested into fandom beyond just "consuming content" and advertising your art for sale. Yet, it lives. It lives in the same sense as a land torn by earthquakes lives. It lives in the same sense a volcano that won't stop smoking lives. It lives in the same sense sea lives during the storm. But it LIVES.
Bloodborne fandom is a fucking Caelid.
If you question whether I'd be scared of "drama", I assume you are new here and don't know my epic lore. I am not afraid of anything because society made itself clear on what I am for it. In the most condenced way possible, one OF those toxic Maria fans didn't like me thinking for myself too much so they went out of their way to slander me for various -ists and -phobias. Their ableist friend that doesn't take racism seriously joined in. I was a victim of stalking, harassment, slander, witch-hunting and cult-like shunning for over a year, and so was every kind fool who treated me like a human - friend or mutual. I can NOT speak of Bloodborne fandom experience from personal standpoint because obviously it is not an objective experience (though someone who also got unfairly slandered by Maria fans too contacted me, so I question whether it IS a trend..?). Still, it isn't about me or my friends, we are an oddity. Bloodborne fandom for me was just a bunch of gullible, weak sheep who are okay with witch-hunt because letting just a few people get harassed is not worth souring their fandom experience. And I do not wish to turn back or even try to mend anything. I caught my stalker and exposed their crimes, I made everyone who believed they were innocent feel stupid and ashamed, it was all I wanted. I don't wish to "befriend" the fandom afterwards.
Tumblr media
YEAH YEAH "THINGS ONCE BROKEN" WHATEVER
But I was still posting and drawing and playing and talking and writing, right? I was still present. So, I was at least observing what was going on. And what truly soured Bloodborne fandom was actually happening afterwards, what was not involving me or any friend or enemy I knew. The worst thing happened, worse for fandom than any amount of discourse. I call it "centralization", for lack of better term.
Bloodborne is a niche fandom, yet it had a sudden zoomers burst. And that led to dynamics of "fandom leaders", and stupid fucking Discord community that are akin to elite club in which if you are not invited you might as well not exist. It ALL became about stupid "web of mutuals" nonsense. It ALL became about some cool kids deciding what will be the ship or the take of the week/month, and soon you'd see NOTHING but this thing posted. Always through the exact same lense, too. Only to then be forgotten, because it was just a trend. Rom x Caryll comes to mind as a FAD of similar vibe. Micolaurence too.
I just hate this. The fandom stopped LIVING. I saw genuinely absurd things happen! Like someone drawing Mariadeline, one of the most popular ships in the fandom, yet they get completely ignored because they've failed to grab a beer at the bar with "leaders" of this ship who "hold" the distribution of that approval and love. Even worse; over a year ago, a very talented, fun, energetic and creative fan of Mensis Trio and Byrgenwerth squad showed up! They were SPAMMING art and writing, and all of that was good! So good that..... all of that barely got over 20 notes, maybe 30. Why? Because, again, you can't just post about blorbos and expect to be liked and approached. You have to get on the "good side" of "holders" of love for characters like Micolash, Laurence and Rom, or else they'll just side-eye you! But imagine this with literally everything else. I have been watching it happen all the time, to people that were not even targets for cult-like shunning by Alfred, Eugene or Anna for associating with me. You keep to yourself, you are shy, you are not on Discord with them, your headcanons are a bit different? Too bad, you may rot, because it is not about you! People look up to a few popular artists with shallow takes and so much creative liberties they might as well make OCs to know whether this or that person should be liked and reblogged, instead of JUST liking and reblogging them!
THIS is why Bloodborne fandom is Caelid. Not for toxicity, but because it is rotten. It used to be far less "organized" when I joined in. There were no trends to define fandomry for next few weeks decided on a party where ignored creators were not invited to. There was not hegemony of certain ships, designs and headcanons. There was no "web of mutuals" and pressure to either assert yourself by the good side or vanish. Everyone were doing their things and coexisting, nobody could determine who flourishes and who rots, diversity of headcanons and interpretations were celebrated. Oh, what's a matter? You really dislike that popular artist who infantilizes Marika and stripes her out of any agency over her actions? Well, so do like 500000 other people! Every popular take is ALSO popular to hate on in Elden Ring fandom! But if you dislike a popular take in Bloodborne then sucks to be you, because diversity of interpretations, opinions, preferences and takes just doesn't exist in it. Not anymore. Unless you "asserted" your novel idea to the "court" on some stupid Discord server and was "approved", of course.
Tumblr media
Look. Elden Ring discourse annoys me to no end. I always get my headcanons and interpretations "corrected" in the worst condescending fashion. My friend posted a very well made lore post and got harped on because his take contradicted someone's idol's headcanons (with that idol approving of that harping) and I am still mad. I don't want to post my GEQ takes to be reminded that "aktualy" she is Melina. I dislike seeing claims of Miquella's nonexistent character assassination or Radahn hated just because some sexist Redditors were using him as a mascot. Nonetheless, deep down, I am THANKFUL. Because even really annoying debates end up being entertaining. Because people here TALK about things, REVISIT things, ARGUE about things, CARE about things, HAVE OPINIONS on things. They will annoy you in the comments or reblogs, but they SPEAK to you. No take is so popular that it defines all art and fanfics because every popular take is also popular to hate on. Things are disorganized. No fandom leaders, no elite club ignored blog wasn't invited to, no "web of mutuals" that should get sucked into a vacuum cleaner and never be seen again. Elden Ring fandom is a battlefield, but also free market minus the money.
To be honest, Bloodborne fandom was done for me when based people started to vanish. Fishbowlcarnage deactivated everywhere, Cuddlefish mysteriously disappeared and I worry whether they are even alive to this day, user Molluscock got bullied away... It felt like a bad omen, it happened before my drama, and I've never seen users like this before. Except I have been, but they all are now ignored because of this stupid high school dynamic taking over. Had Elden Ring hyperfixation not happened, I'd probably just end up blocking many Bloodborne accounts and never care for trying to make connections again, just post art and vanish to draw the next one. I did end up blocking some Bloodborne mutuals, after all. After it hit me, what was bothering me so much. Appreciate Elden Ring fandom and it's earthquakes, because shaking earth can't be bigger evil than stagnation. Bloodborne fandom no longer breathes, they are champions of not feeding the sparkles that were meant to become fire hoping they die down, and I hate every looser that benefits from that "system". In Elden Ring, ALL things flourish, whether graceful or malign.

personal Elden Ring Base Game boss tier list- based off personal enjoyment of each boss
Every row except D has left to right rankings included (left = more loved)
I'm using this as an excuse to talk about certain er boss fights bc I love thinking about boss fights:
Soldier of Godrick: no explanation, easily best boss fight in the game ofc
Malenia: Difficult ofc, but personally I found her fun to master. Most of her difficulty I feel came from the amount of health she had, her heal per hit gimmick, and obviously the difficulty in dodging waterfowl dance. Her other moves are reasonably telegraphed and not too hard to dodge at all + I don't feel like she has a lot of poise? Gets staggered pretty easily- The scarlet rot effect at least personally never became too much of an issue? Idk I never really get mad at bosses I find super cool lol
Morgott: Didn't find him super difficult, beat him on my third try? But mm his lore and the spectacle of the fight are so gorgeous.. The setting being in front of the shining Erdtree, his accursed blood sword splashing blood before bursting into flames, his golden weapon attacks, and the star rain attack??? Including the banger soundtrack, all aspects of his fight comes together into such a beautiful splash of gold. There's also that painful pang of sadness when his second phase dialogue hits.. seeing this old dude who absolutely hates you be vulnerable suddenly?? And talking with him post-fight as he lays on the floor dying??? Then reading his item descriptions and finding out how unloved he was, yet he still loved the order that hates/shuns him???? Love both the beauty of the fight that manner in which it revealed Morgott's lore
Maliketh: MM what a boss design. Probably my favourite boss design in the entire game, he just looks so damn cool ;v;; I think he was the perfect level of a really difficult boss fight. Fast hitting attacks + massive damage in second phase, countered by how little health he has? He was just the right amount of challenging. Mainly didn't enjoy his first phase quick slash attack.. or his giant AOE second phase destined death sphere slash attack thingy :'pp Biggest issues I feel are trying to figure out how to predict some of his second phase attacks since a lot of them have really really similar looking wind ups? Also his destined death health drain was really annoying...
Mohg: Pretty difficult but a great feeling of reward post-victory. Nice to learn the timing of his dodges, and strategize how to reduce him to Nihil the fastest. Most of his difficulty felt like it was from how much damage his second phase bleeds could do? Since they just splash around the whole arena, it's hard to figure out what is or isn't his cursed blood.. His delayed attacks do also kinda have awkward timing to dodge properly. Credit where credit is due tho: He has THE BEST boss fight soundtrack imo- such a banger
Nights Cavalry: In A tier simply bc they have such an awesome vibe to them. Easy to fight imo, but their black cloaked horses alone are just so damn cool aaa- Plus the ominous tone of their theme? Fits so well with the feel of their fights. Some of their arenas tho can be kinda annoying...
Godfrey: Personally I found his attack pattern really awkardly timed? Really aggressive, but similar to Maliketh, I think he was balanced out by having less health. His second phase cutscene was so damn memorable tho.. ripping apart Serosh before hearing his roar?? rip big cool lion bud... Also man his lore is super interesting to me too- The way his giant lion isn't there to fight for him or anything, rather it's there to keep HIM suppressed?? aa and how he seems to actually care about Morgott... aughhh he's so cool
Lichdragon Fortissax: Augh.. the literal only complaint about this boss is that he's too easy... I'm not sure if I was overlevelled when fighting him, but he was definitely easier than his sister Lansseax (who I fought right after.) Absolute banger soundtrack, cool ass unique arena, 2 cool unique red lightning attacks + deathblight attacks, and being the final boss to a pretty important (albeit hidden) questline? Plus super interesting and sad lore connecting information about the ancient dragon society to Godwyn??? But then being so easily killable?.. I think he definitely would've been more memorable if he was harder to kill
Regal Ancestor Spirit: Also a really easy boss imo, but man the whole vibe of this fight... At first the player thinks it's like a copy of the normal Ancestor Spirit fight, but then they see the gorgeous healing animation? And the way all the spirit animals drop dead the moment the boss dies.. It's that moment when you realize you probably just killed something you really shouldn't have that I really love lol
Radagon / Elden Beast: Gorgeous, stunning soundtracks and beautiful cutscenes/ arenas. But idk I just found their fights really annoying.. Radagon is so aggressive with non-stop attacks, making it really hard to find an opening to attack/heal? Plus the amount of health he has, and having to keep enough flasks for Elden Beast? Elden Beast was mm,, some of its attacks were just really annoying... also the constant chasing....... I've got no clue how people beat it pre-1.12 Torrent patch lmao- Also it just makes sense thematically to use Torrent during that fight? He's been your loyal steed since the start, Melina was the one to give him to you, he has the double jump abilities of the ancestor spirits, and he's with you to the end :')
Fia's Champions: idc for npc fights, but man the pang of dread and sadness when you have to fight Rogier..... I miss him :'((
Sir Gideon Ofnir: Doofus loser. Enjoyed killing him bc he was super rude, weird stalker, has gross looking armour, super rude and disowned his own adopted daughter Nepheli >:(((((((, killed a bunch of innocent people, just cringe in general
Astel: Both fights were kinda the same to me? But Naturalborn of the Void was the first one I fought, and had such a big impact on me. First and only boss to creep me the hell out. Music fits perfectly, not too hard of a fight imo, gorgeous boss arena, and interesting lore.
Putrid Tree Avatar: Normal tree avatar? Perfectly good mini boss. Putrid Tree Avatar? Just added annoyance.. I think the only difference is it does that annoying scarlet rot crash? The one off the cliff of Caelid and the one between the doors in Haligtree were annoying as hell. The Caelid one easily has the worst arena. Pots everywhere blocking ur dodges, small arena surrounded by cliff, easy to get disoriented and roll off the edge. Esp when dodging the rot attack >:( Haligtree one would've been fine if they didn't add those annoying 2 knights with heals. Plus the balistas???
Darriwil: I feel like he was mostly just memorable for either being one of the first evergoals u ever encounter, getting to fight alongside Blaidd, or being the place u acquire the Bloodhound Fang Blade
Patches: Definitely not a hard fight at all, he's just a funny guy
Dragonkin Soldier of Nokstella: Gorgeous awesome arena, and cool ass design. His hitbox can be pretty janky tho?? I think it might be one of the jankiest in the game? Also I swear the fight itself isn't that memorable, but then I looked at videos of the fight and it did so many cool moves I never saw while fighting it??? Cool interesting worldbuilding lore tho
Fire Giant and Godskin Duo: Putting these 2 together bc they were the 2 bosses I heard people hated the most? But I killed them really really fast so.. idk... I don't think I was overlevelled either? Just stuck them in C bc idk where else I'd put them.. Not super outstanding imo
D tier: None of them were really memorable,, mostly just reused bosses
Godskin Noble: Stupid roll attack, hate that roll attack. Horrible arena in both Volcano Manor and that Liurnia bridge
Glintstone Dragon Smarag: How do you dodge that crystal ball attack.. Could not figure out how to dodge it, and never saw anyone else dodge it before either. Also why does this dragon jump around and fly everywhere so much more than the other dragons????
Valiant Gargoyles: I HATEE THESE GUYS SO MUCH. HORRIBLE AWFUL BOSS FIGHT DESIGN. Annoying to dodge attacks, STUPID POISON ATTACK. The first phase I swear it only vomits poison around the body which is fine. Annoying but fine, but why does the second phase suddenly change the poison trajectory??? Why does the vomit spread out so far in a specific direction??? And why are they always vomitting poison at the same time so it fills up half the damn arena?? And not only that the poison physically hurts you before the affliction bar fully fills??? So you're just forced to run every single time. THEY ALSO CONSTANTLY SPAM THE POISON ATTACK SOMETIMES???? I'd be running around in a circle trying to dodge their poison as they spam the vomit poison attack, assssssholeessss. They also can't be bled + have resistances to slash attacks, which is bad news for my bleed build :)))))) Also the first gargoyle is like a halberd? Which has decently easy to read and dodge attacks. Once the second guy comes in tho, you gotta deal with a twinblade guy?? Who has much harder to read and dodge attacks? Stupid spinny blade attack that the second guy whips out ohhhhhhh i hateeeeeee you. Literally the only boss in this game that pissed me off to no end- I have never seen anyone enjoy this boss, and for good reason. It's an awful boss fight, and I hate it to no end. If I see a single gargoyle in the DLC I'm throwing hands with Miyazaki

i remember seeing mohg fan get mad at people saying messmer has the worst mommy issues of any of the demigods cause obviously their poor precious mohg, (and morgott) had it worst and i just gotta laugh cause messmer is canonically the only one with mommy issues, the mommy issues of every other character is either headcannon, extrapolation of limited evidence or fans just going 'if i was in their situation i would have mommy issues.

Note
Do you have other headcanon for elden ring characters?
I would love to hear some👉👈
well I do have some for basic stuff like ages, height, sexualities, etc. (Mainly for when I open up the askblog) B u t
A Majority of Everyone is kinda touched starved since there's so much stressful shit going on in the lands between. Mainly Melina and Varre. Melina all because of the scene where she literally burnt herself alive and was OBVIOUSLY gonna give us one last touch before she hesitated, and Varre since he dedicated himself so much to Mohg that the touch of a different person really do be hitting different.
Ranni is probably Alot more stronger than what she looks like. She really said "fuck you" to God, Kills her own two fingers, ploted everything to go down and hides it all behind such a calm demiter. But personality-wise She is Really caring to her loved ones and will clearly show her affection.
Seluvis does live with so much possible regret in his life, but buried it so far deep and became lost in his madness. Yet he still yearns for the old days.

🩸 here, and I want to clarify about my response to Miquella's actions, if I were a Pureblood Knight in this game:
Miquella did not earn Mohg's body. Neither did Radahn earn his body. While obviously any follower of a god should be returned to that god in some ritually appropriate fashion, the Mother of Truth has a method and procedure to her gluttony. Blood for blood's sake is appreciated, yes, but every organization has a certain... social contract, if you will. In the case of the Bloody Fingers, you are invited to duel, and the only rewards won are the thrill of the blood and the contents of the corpse. And, perhaps, the pleasure of your goddess.
Miquella did not duel Mohg. Did not even attempt to duel Mohg, but rather swayed him with bespelled love into the clutches of borderline heretical fealty. While it is appropriate for a Lord to love an Empyrean, I believe the only reason Mohg was successfully charmed so deeply is that he had hope Miquella could be an Empyrean of blood, and therefore his loyalties were never called into conflict. If asked to choose between the two, would it have broken Mohg? Would it have broken the charm? The fact that this is not an easy question to answer, for me, calls his loyalty to the Mother into question. Even if he was bewitched. At that point, the only honorable options are to either break the spell, possibly by killing Miquella- or to kill Mohg himself, and let him die rather than suffer a Lord who can only give half of his heart to his cause, people, and goddess.
A deep and horrible violence was committed on Mohg's mind and heart, and I do not deny that. But the end result of it was a man unfit to truly lead anyone, not in the condition we find him as the player character.
That said.
We killed him, whether as a mercy or otherwise. Not Miquella. Miquella had no right to Mohg's body, he did not win it by combat or even through guile. He robs us, and the rest of Mohgwyn, like some kind of vulture. I find that intolerable and unacceptable. If he wanted a corpse he should have asked Leda to fetch one, she's more than capable of providing. And at least that would be a corpse provided by his own knight, his own finger, rather than Miquella magically absconding with someone else's opponent.
Mohg deserved better than becoming stolen carrion, than being some kind of necromantic armature. But by the time we find him, with Miquella so far out of reach... there truly is nothing to do about it other than kill him with dignity.
Miquella reduced him to a mad, corrupted dog- a properly bloody death is the only kindness left to give.

Who does Vino like/is on good terms with and who is on the hate list? What do you enjoy most about them and their story?
Sorry this took a bit to answer I’ve been having a crazy week ;; sorry it’s kinda long
Well for being on good terms with/ people they like, obviously Dei (belongs to @voidcr0wn) since they spent most of their time working to make sure he ended up as Elden Lord.
They like a lot of the inhabitants of the rountable but it really just varies between them all.
They like D, Rogier, Hewg, Roderika, Corhyn, Diallos, and Nepheli. They feel bad for most of them, and I doubt a lot of them know that Vino likes them since they never really talk to them.
Outside of the Roundtable they like Miriel, Iji, Blaidd, and Boggart. I’m sure there’s more random npcs they would be on good terms with but I’m still not entirely sure who all they’ve met.
Also the Demigods/bosses of the game uhhh post story, they like Radagon, but they’ve always just kinda respected him since they’re a Golden Order freak. They don’t hate Godrick if that counts for anything, they did find it kinda fucked up that Gostoc is just stomping on him after he gets beat so there’s that. Their interactions with Rennala are pretty limited but they would still like her, they have no reason not to. They helped fight Radahn and they feel bad for him. They have a lot of respect for Godfrey even if they are kinda scared of him and uhhhh well they definitely have feelings about Morgott… they fought Margit, thought there was something very interesting about him and in usual Vino fashion decided to keep an eye on him until they went back to Leyndell and met Morgott… anyway to make a long story short Vino is his consort know so yeah needless to say they like each other…
Oh and they will violently enforce a rule of kindness to anyone that tries to hurt the nomadic merchants.
And characters on the hate list. Absolutely top of the list if Gideon, sure there are characters that are far worse than him (and Vino knows it) but they just really can’t stand him. When they’re in the roundtable hold they’ll just harass him, without saying anything cuz again they don’t talk a whole lot, but it’s annoying none the less and they end up being the one that kills him…
Vino also hates the dung eater and fia for I think obviously reasons…
They also really don’t like Varre, it has nothing to do with his personality and more that he offers to help Dei like a maiden would and I wanna say it jealousy, jealousy adjacent? Something like that they just don’t want anyone else getting in the way of what Vino sees as “the plan”
Not a fan of Seluvis or Sellen and really doesn’t like Shabriri…
Demigod wise they hate Mohg, for Miquella reasons, they’re probably really uncomfortable with Rykard and they don’t entirely trust Ranni (Rykard and Ranni I’d say are both mostly because of Vino’s golden order obsession but still)
Yeah! I’ll probably have to reblog this later and be like “oh yeah and this guy too” but for now yeah there’s a not at all comprehensive list of character stuffs. But if you want any specific characters or what me to elaborate please ask!
And what I enjoy most about Vino, I guess that they aren’t the main character really, I think it opens more options for their story to me instead of just having to have them end up as Elden Lord. I also personally like the mix of holy and madness they got going on (even if it was what ended up killing them)

"op is a real person and consents" as compared to miquella, the fake person. so you can tell the difference in real and fake people in this case but not in the case of shipping two fake characters together?
'i cant tell people to not liek a character' but you CAN tell them not to like a ship?
im not screaming, im frustrated that people are telling other people what to ship instead of sticking to their own ship. i DONT ship mohg/miquella, i DO care that people are constantly bugging other people about their ships. OP called people 'mouth breathers with no original thougths' and you didnt care about that. "fuckin lunatic" and "not fucking cute it’s fucked up" you didnt care about that screaming whatsoever, you were only mad about shippers, so pretending you only care about tone NOW is very silly
again you seem not to care about what i actually wrote-- i dont care if miquella and mohg are canonically together (obviously not) or if mohg is canonically in love (debatable, i think, at best its in an insane one sided way) i dont like people making up lies and being hypocritical and accusing people of setting back gay rights forever by having a bad ship. I dont care about the game, i care about the behavior. you apparently care more about the ship
anyhoo, blocking you "you fucking lunatic", which is not a rude thing for me to say to you by your own logic
Tumblr media
get that shit outta here
