I realized I needed a color for all of them (yellow). Grant is green, Jake is purple, Marc is blue. Grant and Marc are trying to be better with kids, Jake's got years on them though!
Marlene's Bingo!
"So, who wants to shout out Bingo?"
As much as things could be (currently were, she supposed) rocky between them, Marlene hadn't left because they weren't a good match. They had been a GREAT match, in many ways. She had loved them all for their various quirks, their skills, because they were simply THEM. Though that part had taken time and effort. She could have done more and— well. It was what it was now.
They'd never have lasted as long as they did if they didn't have a lot in common. It was nice to know they did have things in common, to see small quantifiable reasons why she loved them before and loved them still. Even if it was just some silly thing.
"I'd like a day out some time. I mean, a family day out. Or two. Or three. Would be nice." She rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, no longer looking their way.
