no but seriously how did that happen. not that i'm complaining
#merlin#bbc merlin#merlin bbc#anyway did you ever ask yourself why were there druid camps in camelot even twenty years into the purge?#like why would they stay#soo i think i have a theory#remember perilous lands?#they became this dead wasteland because magic was being continuously sucked out of it#so what if the same thing could've happened to camelot#and druids knew it obv#so they continued camping on camelot's soil and performing magic rituals#to support the magic of the land#so it doesn't die completely#however there were some signs anyway#like i believe they had less harvest than before#the soil had become dryer and less fertile#and than merlin came to live in camelot#and started unknowingly feeding his magic to the earth#and some people probably freaked out over abnormal grain reports that year
