Limiting the choice to the shows and movies I have seen/know of. I'm not asking who the first actor you have seem playing Arthur was, rather the one you instinctively think about when someone mentions him or the one closest to your heart.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Sir Leon the Long Suffering is one of the best tags ever invented.

Rewatching Merlin and I think the reason Arthur’s personality started going downhill again in S2 is because BBC’s writers wanted to introduce Gwen as a love interest to him and realized (too late) what they did in S1 between Arthur and Merlin— damn they’re going around drinking poison for each other, dreaming of one another, making oaths and envisioning their kingdom together, welcoming death if it means the other would survive, staring. STARING. They’re gay. We made them gay. Holy shit.

I LOVE jealous Arthur
Actually… no scratch that
I love jealous AND oblivious Arthur
Like he’s so confused why he doesn’t like other people looking at Merlin (or touching him or even TALKING to him) and he just thinks it’s because Merlin is HIS manservant
He starts following Merlin around and interrupting conversations he has with others
And disciplining people who flirt with him
And Merlin is completely oblivious to all this

whenever I try to think Uther as a cruel Father, my mind would go to that scene where he carries him, crying. Fuck! The root of the whole problem is that he had a heart! Imagine him as a cruel man, vindictive but he wasn't heartless, if that had been, purge wouldn't have happened. He'd have moved and taken another wife, come to think of it, he didn't take another wife, nobody would have begrudge him, he was the king afterall, and one prince isn't enough to secure the bloodline and the throne. So yeah, Uther did love Arthur and Morgana, Morgana's betrayal was so deep he went mad man! Truly astounding. That a man who committed genocide was a human and had a heart and he loved his children. Truly, too much complexity
