bro dcoms are like princess movies for tweens/teenagers send tweet
#ooc#as someone who's watched four of them today ----#i just think like !! the classic princesses are so timeless#and you can put yourself in those faraway times no matter what#but the dcoms are such a product of the year they're from you can't separate them from it#so even though the plotlines are mostly the same ( case in point: camp rock is essentially cinderella )#the aesthetics change and morph to fit to that of the current era#and therefore appeal to the current era of 12-16 year olds that are still into disney moives#anyway the princess movies appeal generally to the youngest disney demographic#and the dcoms appeal to the slighter older version of that demographic that grew up w/ princess movies#and can identify w/ the themes and plots in the dcoms that are taken from those princess movies#descendants is like screaming for this rn it's a direct lineage from reg disney princess to edgy 13 y/o disney princess demographic u know#anyway i'm gonna watch more sonny w/ a chance until sonny and chad kiss
