i may or may not have lost access to all of my vocal synth stuff last night. my pc has been crashing a lot lately and uhhhh she’s not doing too well right now. i ended up having to reinstall windows, but I have all of my programs and stuff on an external drive. Now Synthv won’t open at all and Vocaloid 6 doesn’t see any of my voices. Luckily I reinstalled windows on a SEPARATE ssd so i can technically go back and use my old install whenever (and I checked that everything works fine still) but it’s not sustainable at all, and the crashes are getting more frequent.

what i’m getting at is please bear with me, covers will be very slow until I get this figured out.

openutau works fine though so I’ve been playing around with Xia Yu Yao and Teto’s VBs and I FINALLY found Yamine Renri’s SV code in my inbox this morning so I’m learning her utau bank too. Too bad I can’t use synthv at the moment because blending the two would sound SO good since i believe her synthv is just a direct port of her utau?

fingers crossed i can fix this soon and without too much pain. i’ve been in the TRENCHES fighting with tech stuff lately

#might end up getting the FE/SE/whatever they call it for V6 and just use that to activate my legal voices #just so i don’t have to deal with going through and individually deactivating like 6 banks #and then finding all their serial codes scattered in my emails across several accounts #synthv will be harder since i don’t think there’s a crack #well there is but i don’t think it’s public #i will admit to learning how to use vocaloid on v4FE with a cracked miku #cause fuck if i was spending over $200 on something i might not have stuck with #but every cover i post is with a legally owned voice #and i primarily work legally these days unless i want to try someone out before i drop a hundred bucks on them #discovering synthv was a fantastic thing because it’s like half the price of vocaloid with arguably better quality
