Work in progress shots never get old. It’s a slow and fiddly process that takes a lot of patience – but I genuinely enjoy it. This is one of my special interests, after all.

Good news for Regal Moth fans! After a little fur adventure, I can finally make more of these soft babes. Who knew finding the perfect shade of orange would be such a quest?

Regal Moth is here and I’m not okay about it. Heavy. Soft. The legs? Fluffy. The wings? Sculpted from clay like someone was possessed. It sits in your hand like it belongs there. Like it knows. And when you poke the legs just to feel the texture again – yeah, me too.
I swear this one feels more like a creature than a doll. I love them so much it makes my brain loud.

Guess who’s back in the shop. The small Spanish Moon with the cartoon look – yeah, that one. I brought it back. Alongside the newer, more lifelike version. They’re both staying. One is cute and stylized, the other’s softer and closer to the real thing.

✨ When life gets hard… give your moth a lamp.
That’s it. That’s the post. Sometimes a tiny lamp is all you need. (Yes, it actually lights up. Yes, I squealed a little.)
This little one sits on my desk every day, magnetically clinging to my lamp like it owns the place. Now it has its own lamp. Justice has been served.

Redesigning the Spanish Moon Moth (again)
I keep telling myself “this time it's final,” and then a year goes by, I sit down at my desk, and suddenly — no, it isn’t.
This is the third version of my Spanish Moon Moth. Same doll. New wings. New proportions.
I found the wings I made back in 2020 and couldn’t believe how small they were. I thought they were perfect at the time. But they weren’t her. Not yet.

I never aim for perfection, really. I just want the moths to feel right. This one finally does. She’s larger, bolder, a little closer to the creature I see in my head.
Full reveal coming soon. For now — a glimpse at the wings. From then, and from now.

I never planned to make dolls, and the moths were an accident—an improbable twist in my journey to becoming a polymer clay artist. It all started while I was crafting a new design for costume jewelry. As I molded the piece, I realized it looked strikingly similar to a moth wing. The thought of moths hadn't crossed my mind before; in fact, I was terrified of them. Despite this fear, I felt an inexplicable urge to create my first doll.
This first attempt resulted in a simple black and white moth, far removed in quality and design from what I create now. The real surprise came when my audience fell in love with these moths, sparking a demand I hadn't anticipated. And so, my journey began, leading me to craft these unique art pieces that continue to captivate and enchant.

Little did I know that my accidental creation would become the heart of my artistic identity, bringing joy and wonder to collectors around the world.
