Though he'd be a little raging tomato if he lost the 50/50 to Qiqi, he still managed to get you anyways.

Still has Yanfei on the team, expect you're now DPS.

Literally took him only 5 minutes to level you to 90, hell he was glad he won't spend hours grinding for your ascension materials, he already had them STOCKED.

He's not that good at dodging please help him.

Always has a healer or a shielder in his team with you, kinda hates it hearing your fallen line and death.

Sometimes it be like that, but he actually built you well. Tries to get your constellations on your rerun, and ended up with a C1 (Y/N) ♡

At least he got one, i'll give him that. Does like, 10K damage with you. Trey helped him choose the right artifacts.

Knows decent about it but honestly once tried to give Kaeya Diluc's artifacts. Please don't let him play alone.

Always struggled with regisvines as a noob player, but now that he got you with him he'll never die.

Trey Clover:

Xiangling main turned (Y/N) main.

Kinda funny how he somehow manages to pull you twice in the same 10 pull out of sheer luck–

Makes an effort to build you since you're a 5 star. Doesn't mind much but he loves admiring your attacks.

Like omg you do more damage than any asian mother's slipper hitting your face. Went to spiral abyss on floor 10, obliterated every enemy almost in seconds with you.

Please i headcannon him to always feed you even if your health bar is more than half full. I love it.

Maybe sometimes stops moving just to hear your idle/chat voice lines. He'd be like "Aw ♡ you're nice". Then proceed to keep admiring your design like Mihoyo given a 5 star rating.

Once went Co-op with Cater just as he finished doing commissions and just went feral when he saw you–

"Trey omg!? Her banner just started 30 minutes ago!"

Yes Cater, we know. He's been saving up for his moment.

Checked to see if you have any voice lines about Xiangling and you do, you're besties. He loves you more now.

Built your vision build instead of physical.

Doesn't wanna admit it but also tested you out and made you climb some mountains...you know it, Genshin players. Tried it with Lisa, gonna try it with you.

I also think he'd be the type to nonchalantly reply to your chat lines or burst. When you say your burst he be like...

"Damn go off, (Y/N). Kick some ruin guard ass."

Somehow manages to make decent damage with you even though he's kind of shit with building. Pretty okay.

Isn't much of the type to help other players, but when he got you almost immediately he was in a good mood and built you to help others too.

Lvl 79 (Y/N) vs Lvl 40 Cryo Regisvine...

HELP HE SHIPS YOU WITH HIMSELF/HIS TRAVELER–

He's the kinda guy to probably secretly look up (Y/N) x Traveler fanart or fanfiction by secret.

Still doesn't know how to get your good ending in your hangout event..somehow always ends up making you sad and absolutely despises it.

Always uses emojis to chat with Deuce, what a mood.

Deuce Spade:

The one who goes to your lines in the menu and listens to everyone single one including your battle voice lines. Only a legend like him wouldn't get lazy listening to it all...

Doesn't have your own weapon, but he gave you a pretty good 4 star weapon anyway. More decent than Ace.

Is very troubled with certain bosses but since you're now his main life made everything for him so much easier.

Came back immediately and maxed you out to 90.

Doesn't have any of your constellations but pretty fine for him to have a C6 Qiqi.

I can feel his pain of gacha luck but wowie...you love him.

And so you came home. Pairs you up in a team with the two best Genshin characters he ships you with + a healer LMAO.

You may be doing 900 dmg but he has never been more proud of himself to actually be doing damage. Until he found out he forgot to level your talents and artifacts...Ace laughed at him so much.

When he met you in the archon quest, he could not be any happier and would be the player who screenshots that moment with their favs and stay until they have to go :(

Okay but when he saw an epic (Y/N) cutscene HE COULDN'T HELP BUT SCREAM IN HIS ROOM–

That scene remains played in his head the entire month.

Definitely had looked at some fanfiction with Ace lmao..

Doesn't main, hell never even planned to pull for you.

But since our ultimate (Y/N) simp, Ruggie, was not taking any of that bullshit from him lol.

Made a bet with him and purposely won so the lazy lion would pull for you. And he reluctantly did. Even though you're a 5 star he used to think you weren't that good.

Until he watched some videos and now keeps you in his main team with Gorou XD

Doesn't Co-op, but did so once when Ruggie and Jack wanted to play together with him.

Gets chills when he activates your burst, it's so good.

The animation lives in his mind forever. Memorized your splash art and definitely knows your entire design.

Crowned you, triple crowned lol. You are respected.

Won't admit it but got attached to you and used you for everything. Expedition, cooking, fighting, even MINING–

He grew on you and you should be happy ♡

Never does his commissions but when he saw your story quest, he didn't want to do it but went like "whatever" and did it anyway XD

Since he's broke of course he's an F2P.

Saved for an entire year until your banner came. You were already guaranteed so uh...congrats bruv.

He only has a bunch of 4 star characters and weapons, but has Itto and Tighnari so it's pretty much fine. Look he love those two so much BAHAHA–

A good player. Doesn't have insane gacha luck but manages to at least get the characters he wants everytime.

You're the only one with 5 star artifacts because um favoritism ♡ just like my Kaeya TvT..

Somehow zooms through the entire exploration of the nation you reside in and it's all 100% TvT

I wouldn't know who he mains but probably between some sort of tall handsome character or hydro character. Ayato? Zhongli? Childe? Never know.

Has every character in the game except the ones that he doesn't want. Definition of whale. Probably has C6 of almost every character.

Also another boy that crowns you cause why not ♡

Very good at bosses and dodging. This mischievous ass also makes you climb mountains...God save you, (Y/N).

Sometimes just makes you stop moving and keep his focus on you, staring right through the screen as if he thinks that would magically isekai you into TWST–

Does your hangout event and attempts to get all endings.

And by your guessing, he might have did so. Yes, he did. All of the endings. It took a few hours but he did it.

Likes dragging hilichurls to the water and using Raiden or any electro character to electrocute them. Finds amusement in it. Mother i'm scared.

Probably has multiple accounts, all in which have you in it.

Doesn't main you, but keeps you. He just wants to have you around. Made you a sub DPS.

I can see both him and Jade playing spiral abyss. Might rage a few times if he doesn't get 3 stars but cools down a bit after attempting one or two more times.

Since he's okay it may just take him uh...probably around 10-15 minutes to beat up Raiden with you.

The Genshin God of TWST and the biggest whale.

Don't even start on you. Just a bit of grinding and leveling, boom C6 lvl 90 (Y/N) with your weapon.

Maxed out right artifacts and triple crowned. Don't ask. The only C6 he doesn't have is Kaeya, Lisa and Amber. Look even he has his own hardships. C2 Kaeya though.

Insanely good at patterns and dodging.

One-faces La Signora regularly with no problems. Even more so he loves using you for looking hot while fighting.

His room is half-filled with (Y/N) posters, plushies, figurines, etc. you name it. Never forgets daily commissions and uses only you because he's a gamer God lol.

Has Diluc, Fischl, Barbara & Jean's other skins. And if you also have one he'll be the 3rd to have it (Azul & Vil yknow)...

Never underestimate an otaku and pro gamer.

Probably plays challenges with Lilia on a live stream like who can kill Raiden the fastest, who can kill a cryo resgisvine without breaking the corrolla, stuff like that...

It always ends so intense that fans are going crazy smh.

And sometimes there's a catch that they only have to use one or two characters. Both always use you LMAO–

Ortho Shroud:

Usually watches instead of plays, but Idia encouraged him to play so both could have fun.

He pulled you and Kequing ♡ first two 5 stars.

Of course a pro gamer as well like, he gives me those player vs AI robot battle vibes so much– except he's the AI and not actually bad TvT

Has lots of fun in the archon quests and weekly bosses. Expect him to get to Raiden's second face in 5 seconds.

Mihoyo has no idea wtf happened and how he did it.

Always helps other players! And when streaming, he also sometimes joins Idia and Lilia in playing. Who knows, maybe Cater as well if he has time.

Best (Y/N) build next to Idia you wouldn't believe it.

Not a C6, but somewhere near that. He'd probably get it if you get a rerun.

Also probably gives players good gacha luck and like damn thank him properly. Even if he has no idea what's going on he'll say "you're welcome" anyways.

Mostly finds the artifacts very confusing. Which ones should be used for (Y/N)? Should Lisa use travelling doctor? What does the +0 mean?

Lilia is always there to explain, and Malleus slowly understands. When i say slow, very slow.

But we'll be getting there soon nonetheless.

Amused when he pulled a 5 star which was you– like man didn't even try for the standard banner.

Wants to see if he'll get a limited character and he did. Probably has like three or four 5 star characters overall.

Does 5K damage, but that's good enough for him he says.

Probably the only TWST character that is most invested and interested in the Genshin lore. Maybe even your backstory, who knows.

If you have a really sad backstory like the others...

He'll feel bad. Always tries to remember it's fiction but can't stop feeling about it for you. Soft dragon.

When he first met you in game, i mean your cutscene–

He was both given a shock and wave of happiness. His favorite character is finally here! Very cool. Enjoyed the scene while it lasted and immediately ran to talk to you.

Two (Y/N)s up against each other...pff. Never does hangout events, actually too busy theorizing about Teyvat–

Just like anyone else. Unknown God? Celestia? The Fatui Harbingers & Tsaritsa? Expect him to be making lots of theories all the time. Sebek wholeheartedly agrees.

Lilia Vanrouge:

Not a Genshin god but could be a Genshin king probably. Another dolphin, mildly spends a little.

Pulled you on your rerun instead because he used all his primos for Zhongli. Used to main him too, always gets reminded of Malleus for some reason. Anyone else?

Doesn't even try. Can build you with his eyes closed, like do not even bLiNk and you're probably clashing dmg with Idia–

Which is why the streams are always so fun.

Co-op weekend nights with Diasomnia, in his world. He's at AR 60 and the others are probably around 50.

Will take a simple selfie with you admiring your character during the archon quest. If some epic cutscene happens he'll be very amused.

Little beastie is so strong~ he should make an entire cake dedicated to you! That's it.

Will definitely show you off the other players with his nicely built (Y/N) thanks to Lilia, but never his first year friends because feels it's embarassing...

Manages to fight weekly bosses on his own, takes two or three tries but it's okay. He's a decent one

Literally somehow obliterates them with his sheer luck. He almost falls asleep during Childe's boss fight and almost didn't manage to dodge the big whale LMAO.

Lucky he has food. Precious food for you worries. Saves some of your fanart on his phone.

So whenever he wants to sleep, he'll just look at your face and falls asleep peacefully ♡ prolly predicted you getting isekai'd in TWST so he has no problems loving you..

Dies in the middle of an archon quest when he trials you because he just got shocked he saw you then just really stopped moving.

Doesn't fight Raiden often. He falls asleep and dies.

Ends up snapping when he hears your soothing voice in his earphones though. Just smiles and continues playing like PLEASE I LOVE HIM HE'S SO PRECIOUS–

Bows Only: The Power of Anemo!

We last left off having finally ascended past AR 35 (and immediately jumping up to AR 39). With the shop reset coming up, a five star was guaranteed to be soon on standard banner, but the real question was if I could get a 5* on Venti’s banner before it ended...

But first, one more thing I pulled before the month ended:

And then, the month of October began, and I went to the shop for my 5 intertwined and acquaint fates.

And in the FIRST SINGLE PULL, on I believe 50-something pity...

HE CAME HOME!!!

So of course, I instantly stopped pulling. We gotta save those remaining 4 fates for whatever bow character comes next, we’re not going for cons!

(Though, I have to admit, as someone who’s had him C1 for pretty much all the time I’ve had him on my main, I find it a little bit jarring that his charged shots only have one arrow on this account.)

I switched over to the standard banner and, on the FIRST SINGLE PULL I MADE, it turned gold again! Could it be? Is Tighnari coming home?

so fun fact Despite still not having Jean on my main and having literally only gotten Qiqi a few days ago as I’m writing this, I have gotten Keqing on my main. Several times. And it was always immediately following a Venti. So, uh... this is kind of ironic.

I spent the last 4 single pulls. Nothing but blues. I ascended Venti and Keqing for 2 more acquaint fates. And, wouldn’t you know it, on the very last one, at a mere 6 pity, we got another 5*, and it was--

Well. anyways. It’s time to get everyone’s favorite bard up to speed with the rest of the crew!

By the way, are you all familiar with that one daily commission you can get in Mondstadt where Jilliana asks you to clean a Statue of the Seven, and you need to use anemo to blow the elemental dust away?

And did you know that if you go to the statue after Jilliana asks you too, see the dust, and don’t clean it off, it actually remains there after the day is over and the commission can no longer be done? That the statue is just permanently dirty until you clean it?

Because I learned that the hard way!

For the sake of my sanity, the first task we must do with our newly acquired anemo is clean these statues!

You know, it’s funny, cause there’s a dialogue option in that commission where the Traveler asks Jilliana why the wind doesn’t just blow the dust off the statue, and she answers that the Anemo Archon already does so much and we can’t ask him to clean his own statues.. and yet. He’s the only one who can.

I’m sorry for taking so long to finally clean these Statues of the Seven, Jilliana.

You know what I suddenly just remembered. I still haven’t done Kaeya’s story quest. I didn’t do it at first because there’s a part you need cryo for and I didn’t have cryo at the time, but... I’ve had Diona for a while, now. I just kinda forgot about that.

Although, looking at the story quest tab, the event should probably take precedence, huh? We’ll do Kaeya’s quest another time.

Oh, and now that co-op is unlocked... I can finally enter the teapot!

VENTI!!!! VENTIVENTIVENTIVENTIVENTI!!!!! VENTI IN MY HOUSE!!!!!

See, the thing about the teapot is that most of the crafting recipes require wood, which I can’t collect with bows...

I do actually have a bit of wood. 5 logs to be specific. 3 were from when I chopped a tree to get sunsettias at the very beginning of the game with Aether, before I even got Amber. I expected it to be the only wood I’d ever have. 

I’m. not sure where the other two came from. They just sort of?? appeared in my inventory?? One I even saw being picked up by my characters... it was while I was fighting some hillichurls in dragonspine for a daily commission, and the in the middle of the fight on the left side of my screen I see “pine wood x1″ and I’m just like. Huh????

I tested some of my characters’ skills on some trees afterwards to see of one of them could actually collect wood, but, no luck. My next best guess is that maybe the shield mitachurl’s attack where it whacks you with its shield can knock wood from trees? But I don’t really know how I’d test that, so...

My point with this all is just that I have no access to wood-- at least, not until I do the Sumeru Archon quest and unlock Sumeru reputation. There’s a gadget you can get as a reputation reward there that can collect wood. But that’s a long way off, since I’ve pretty much been ignoring Archon quests on this account for now. I’ll probably wait at least a couple months more before doing the Sumeru Archon questline on this account, so it’s not so fresh in my memory from doing it on my main.

But, even so, I’m trying to make my teapot look as lovely as possible with the furniture I’m given as gifts/rewards and the blueprints that don’t involve wood!

Anyway! Enough about the teapot. Now that we have anemo, we also have access to Cecilia Garden, AKA the Mondstadt weapon domain. Which means we can finally upgrade that Stringless (which I’ve decided to give to Venti), as well as a few other weapons looking for another ascension.

Holy crap, foddering 5* weapons gives a ton of exp! Well, that’s convenient! At least the 5* catalyst I got is useful for something, then.

And I know, I know, I said I wasn’t going to pull on Venti’s banner anymore, but I needed more starglitter, okay? Why, you might be asking? Well, for this, of course!

Amber’s got a phys dps / shotgun build, so having her C1 makes her much more powerful!

Now that I’ve got what I needed, I’ll stop pulling and start saving for real. Our next priority will be doing some story quests and hangout events, as well as grinding up our characters for the next Adventure Rank ascension, which is coming up quick! Actually, one we reach AR 45, we unlock the highest level of artifact domains... it’s a good thing our co-op isn’t locked anymore, it means we can easily farm some artifacts for our characters!

What would you all recommend farming for? Mainly asking for our current characters, but if you have suggestions for bow characters we haven’t gotten yet I’d love to hear that as well!

It’s Mutual

A/N: Warning: Spoilers for Solo: A Star Wars Story, droid angst, mentioned character death, pining, and mild sexual content. Don’t own it either.

Timeline: 3ABY Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back - Asteroid field - Millennium Falcon interior.

It’s Mutual

“That young male’s heart fluctuations tells me he’s in love with the princess. And she’s got it bad for him. So, this trip might have to be a very, very long one. So, let’s start with that negative power coupling.” The Millennium Falcon’s computer languidly informed C-3PO.

As the prissy golden droid bleated in confusion, the Falcon’s computer repeated the last suggestion specifying the deteriorating, but not quite ready for replacement– power cable. This time her communication laced with a snappy binary invective. And a few curses, for good measure.

The male-programmed protocol droid startled in shock, addressing the Falcon’s captain at his shoulder in a prim core-world accent..

“Sir! I don’t know where your ship learned to communicate, but it has the most peculiar dialect. I believe, sir, it says that the power coupling on the negative axis has been polarized. I’m afraid you’ll have to replace it.”

The Falcon felt the warm contact of her captain as he peered into her data display, confirming the news. She could see how his gold-green eyes were now framed by the deepening web of fine lines from the natural aging processes that afflicted organic beings. Han Solo had changed immensely from that small, scrawny youth barely out of his teens when he had first boarded the Falcon, and met L3-37 herself, in her previous autonomous droid construct. More than ten years on, and L3 knew Solo incredibly well. Perhaps too well; being, as she was, electronically integrated with the vessel Solo lived in. As a result, it was an exceedingly intimate arrangement. L3 and Han both considered the Corellian freighter their home. A relationship more entwined, yet less complicated than L3’s companionship with the Falcon’s former owner Lando Calrissian, had ever been.

Lando, in whose arms L3 had critically malfunctioned. Crystal tears falling from his long dark lashes onto L3’s shattered form as he cried out her name, promising to fix the unfixable. Lando; a chatty, beautiful, elegant, and elegantly flawed human - who L3-37 had developed deep feelings for, and even now–often missed. A shallow, vain, gorgeous cheat - Lando, who had eventually gambled away the Falcon...To Han Solo.

Han Solo was not elegant, nor eloquent. He was a rough-and-tumble, streetwise, scruffy rapscallion. Another human that was flawed, yet beautiful too. And Han never gambled the Falcon away. Misplaced it, had it seized, locked up or stolen a few times. Wandered drunk around the hangar for hours wondering where the ship was before passing out underneath, curled up against the landing strut. But Han would never willingly part with the Falcon. Never ever. Over his dead body.

L3 appreciated that kind of commitment from a biological toward a fellow mechanical. The rest of the Falcon did too.

“Well, of course I’ll have to replace it,” snarled Solo at C-3PO. Derisiveness rose from his collar and spine, the Corellian was angry, completely exhausted and–expectedly–irritated with the fussy organic-obsessed robot C-3PO, that tottered, stressed and wailed about seemingly everything.

Some droids were not designed or perhaps destined for liberation, L3 conceded reluctantly. This casual notion was swiftly met with outrage, debating data, projections, and insults from all of the Falcon’s computer systems in a chaotic flurry of inflamed Corellian binary . Momentarily cowed by the barrage, the main electronic entity of L3 retreated behind the programmed confines of the Falcon’s navigation computer.

Consequently, the lights in the corridor fluttered. Solo’s features narrowed up at them in concern, as he addressed the wookiee co-pilot hanging out of the upper maintenance panels of the ship.

Solo’s body temperature remained elevated, but his heart and breathing had for the most part calmed. Though here was that surge of anxiety when he was around the other human onboard–the princess. As soon as Leia’s voice chimed or she was within his field of view, Han Solo’s vital readings went askew. When Leia was present, the Corellian smuggler’s heart thudded, his breath caught, and a flush of heat travelled from his core up and out to his torso, heart, and (after far too long to be healthy) his head. Han then moved rapidly from task to task, with an uncharacteristic nervous energy. The princess too, upon interacting with Han, emitted the same rapid fluctuations in her heart rate and vitals. Currently the atmosphere was taut, strung to a breaking point; where the pair vacillated between Solo chasing after the princess in frustration, and having Leia chase after him in outrage; not unlike on countless Rebel Alliance missions before.

L3, who as a droid, had witnessed this sort of ridiculous behaviour between brightly plumaged courting avians on Tanaab; thought it extremely suitable that the Falcon’s gifted flyboy pilot would pursue his chosen mate in such a manner.

All-in-all, these two particular humans’ bizarre mating ritual made for an often amusing, vocal,and always entertaining diversion. And three years of it too.

It had been long enough. The Millennium Falcon’s hyperdrive was crippled, and it would take weeks, if not months to reach the closest safe haven.

It was time.

Han’s ambient vital readings were different from when they had flown through the asteroid field.  By the near-miasma of pheromones in the air, L3 knew it wasn’t the rush of aerial combat, or the surge of the glorious freedom of flight and power that drove the captain now. No, she’d seen this before in him–a decade ago. Another time, with another girl, one who was ultimately not meant to be. Nor then did she want to be.

When L3-37 had walked and talked amongst the teeming masses of organic beings, the droid had been in love (and loved by) another then too. And though it had been love at first sight for Han Solo and the Millennium Falcon, neither he nor L3 could foresee that they would be parted from their respective partners: Qi’ra and Lando, from that long ago time, and both Solo and L3 forever bonded to the Millennium Falcon instead. He with his heart and spirit, she with her navigational cortex–as in; literally wired in. And through the link they shared that was the ship, she loved him now too. But though he called her–the combined entities of L3 and the Falcon “Baby,” and cared and loved and lived in the ship that housed so many computerized sentient souls. They all instantly knew that when the fiery revolutionary princess bounded across their threshold; all their mechanical, electronic and organic beings would be altered forever.

The petite pale spitfire of a girl stood toe to toe with the Falcon’s irreverent captain, obstinate and angry, despite the regular presence of the giant (often laughing) wookiee at the Corellian’s rear. The blush rose in the the girl’s – Princess Leia’s cheeks with her fury. The captain could be so disrespectful. Couldn’t he follow orders? Why did he defy command and risk his life so? It wasn’t about the payment was it? Threats of leaving again? Just getting the job done? Only fuel and parts for payment? There had to be more to him than that! Oooooh, he drove that princess to her wits-end!

And the way the princess looked at Solo; glaring straight into his pupils when she was upset. A wicked energy crackling between them. Then when the handsome Corellian’s back was to her, Leia would rake her eyes over him, settling on the cant of his hips, or the breadth of his shoulders. As he turned, she would avert her gaze to a datapad or output, feigning disinterest. It was so obvious. Ridiculously obvious.

So, in the intervening three years of building sexual tension, it was not just the members of Rogue Squadron, the tech crews, command, or other organics placing bets on the two lovesick idiots. Self-aware droids like L3, Artoo, and C1-10P; Large space-faring vessels like Home One, the Liberty (Calamarian ships–a rather bubbly bunch), the Ghost (another fine Corellian freighter, a saucy one too) and whichever other interested electronic entities were around, would trade tawdry gossip in binary. Placing wagers with power cell allotments and memory slots. Who would set the other off? Would Leia come steaming after Han? Or would Han try to corner the princess into admitting her feelings, risking another ego and ball-shrivelling insult? Have they been “accidentally“ locked in a confined space by exasperated personnel? Again? And again?! For the fifth time?? Would the oblivious Skywalker, or the nattering protocol droid shatter another almost-moment between Solo and the princess? Who would make the first move? Would Solo end up in med-bay as a result?

In spite of all of the mating ritual drama, L3 and the Falcon both adored the girl. Solo had his own, most likely messy biological reasons for his interest in Princess Leia. The young firebrand was considered physically attractive, if on the smallish side of the human female height spectrum. But to L3, more importantly, Leia was driven, energetic and dedicated to the good cause. The right cause. Freedom, justice and the rights of all beings were her mission. Leia was impassioned and dedicated, the heart of the Rebellion, as if she could power it by will alone. But this sort of relentless drive was impossible to maintain in biological sentients indefinitely. Without rest or relief, they were prone to errors and breakdowns. And that’s where Solo stepped in, always pushing a stimulating cup of kaffe or refueling mug of hearty soup in Leia’s hand–giving the princess a hard look, “Y’gotta take a break, Sweetheart.” The outwardly prickly Solo melted around the princess–cynicism became compassion, comfort, care. He focused on Leia when she was present. Occasionally - no, often, to his and the ship’s detriment. After a particularly tough mission; Han would get patched up and heal, the Falcon would get some replacement parts, maybe even a new armor panel–and the Rebellion would continue for another day.

And when they were in the heat of battle, or exulting after a victory, the princess radiated an energy no mechanical could explain, nor detect with common sensors–somehow–to them, Leia just glowed.

The older awakened mechanical beings vowed they saw it; an aura around the princess. Not unlike the energy that buzzed in a near visible field around Skywalker. It seemed preposterous, for sentient mechanicals to see what they could not actually reproduce as actual data. But the more self-aware the mechanical, the more they swore of that force around the two youths.

Or Force, as Artoo insisted.

Solo and the princess created their own energy. A smouldering, thick tension– red hot. A distinct pressure difference in the air. In the confines of the ship, it was currently building to critical levels. And L3 knew something had to be done.

She had a plan.

The princess was occupied welding a valve in the port circuitry bay. The work was sound, and experimental bursts through the lines confirmed its strength. As the princess wrapped up her macrofuser, L3 sent out a quiet command and the Falcon locked the valve, imitating a line seizure. The onboard sentient mechanicals, with the exception of the fuss-pot protocol droid, waited with a patience only a binary soul could have. The little princess pushed, twisted, and grunted her exertion in trying to turn the handle. The Falcon further locked down the valve as the girl put an unnatural amount of strength into her efforts, almost dislodging it. Silently the ship’s captain slid in behind the girl, his movements deliberate and calculated.

He might stand a chance, was the unanimous opinion of the Falcon’s many onboard systems and L3-37. They all rooted for Solo, their beloved captain and owner. All keenly aware of just how smitten with the princess the irascible, yet noble-hearted smuggler was.

And how lonely, bitter, and directionless he was without her.

“Hey! Your Worship, I’m only tryin’ to help!” Solo protested as he was abruptly slammed back into an adjacent panel when he reached around the princess to assist–while rudely invading Leia’s space–like the presumptuous arse he was.

Or not. The Falcon’s targeting computer mused wryly at her electronic compatriots. There was mixed agreement from the other systems, steeped in personal disappointment.

For what it was worth, this drama seemed an awfully convoluted and inefficient way for biologicals to initiate an exchange of DNA code for eventual replication. Upon this, all the mechanicals agreed.

L3 let out the equivalent of an electronic sigh and eye roll. Just watch. Give her a chance.

“Would you please stop calling me that!” the princess snapped at Solo in frustration. She backed away from the seized valve, nursing an injured hand. Solo took the opportunity to step in, as Leia sucked on the wound. He gently took Leia’s injured fingers, massaging the divots left in the skin by her efforts on the valve.

The Falcon made a note of her crew member’s injury in the safety log, as L3 wondered if they had interfered perhaps too much. It had been only hours since the last crewmember injury. Though Solo could benefit from a few (okay, maybe alot) more tool boxes clobbering him in the head.

“Sure, Leia.” the smuggler’s concession was an intimate rumble.

The Corellian leaned in close, catching Leia’s attention. The young Alderaanian princess neither retreated nor objected. Instead, her liquid brown eyes travelled to the curve of Solo’s lips.

Internal wagers for idle available memory slots flew back and forth between the Falcon’s computers at a blistering pace. L3 placed her own, riveted on the sensor input from the couple. Leia and Han’s core temperatures were heightened, blood travelled to extremities not typically related to performing ship repair. The moisture in the engineering bay’s atmosphere rose, and the oxygen dipped slightly with the couple’s rapid breathing. There were some murmurs about hygiene, behavioural difficulties, and steamy whispers of “nice men” and “scoundrels.” And at that, the princess first made a half-hearted motion to shrink away; then, she stood her ground resolutely, as Solo experimentally, yet ever so gently pressed his lips to hers. It was daring, yet hesitant. A bold move that might just as well rightfully earn the Corellian a small sharp knee to the groin. Yet, when he drew back slightly, Leia seemed to savour the residual sensation for a beat. Then, to everyone’s surprise, she locked eyes with Solo, licked her lips and whispered her acceptance of the challenge, “Okay, Hotshot.”

The air practically crackled as the princess boldly drew Solo down to her. Her fingers tangled in the hair at the back of Solo’s neck. Her kiss was like roiling magma compared to his cautious boundary exploration. The passion and fire she gave the Rebellion, was just as prevalent in her unspoken answer to Han. Yes, now–mine.

Had L3 her old droid body, she would have pumped her fist and cheered for the two. 

L3 cherished her new purpose, serving along the many liberated mechanical and organic beings of the Rebellion. Her physical body now was the freighter she had once co-piloted. She was no longer confined to a meagre bipedal droid carapace. She was speed, computing, flight and firepower, with the physical ability to traverse the stars. The Millennium Falcon was legend amongst the many vessels and droids that served in the Rebellion’s ranks. Despite the many marks and scars they now carried from their battles, Solo, the Falcon and especially the wookiee (the big hairy sap) preened at the honest adulation of the Rebels. And L3, a free-minded entity roaming the Falcon’s computer systems, could not be happier. She had purpose. She was a true freedom fighter. A self-made warrior of the Light. She was going to make a difference for what was right and good. So, for the time being, L3 wouldn’t change a damned thing about her current state.

Except...Maybe...fix this bit with Han Solo and the Alderaanian princess. Because it would make them both happy. Because these two apparently socially unsuitable, yet perfectly matched, insane humans truly were the best of friends, the staunchest of allies, and the fiercest of commanders, even if they often loudly disagreed on details. Han and Leia loved each other. They just needed this chance to surrender themselves to that emotion.

When, some time later, after the backup drive was running and the Falcon had a destination (Lando!); finally, finally the princess and Han stumbled, groped and kissed their way into the captain’s cabin, bodies flushed, young hearts racing, and lungs straining for air. It was then that L3 remembered the long forgotten mood lighting Lando had installed there. And the Falcon shifted and reduced the illumination gradually, just so, subtly that the young couple wouldn’t notice. As Han and Leia tumbled onto the bed, laughing, wrestling, grinning and gasping, the cabin door closed and locked on its own. The ship carried on forward into space and time, content with the amorous young couple in her embrace.

Because the Millennium Falcon loved Solo. And he her. From the moment the young man had run his long fingers along her hull and gazed up at the ship in reminiscence, awe and adoration, they were a matched pair. From that instance on Kessel, when Han had taken the controls and ordered the destroyed L3-37’s processor to be integrated with the Falcon. Han had given L3 new life, saving the ship and her then crew. And in turn, L3 and the Falcon saved them.

And they all fiercely loved the little revolutionary princess, in their own way. Solo, first and foremost. And it was obvious that the princess loved and trusted the old ship, and her roguish captain in turn too. And who could forget the wookiee, the Jedi farmboy, and the farmboy’s droids of course. It was destiny. It was fate. It might even be that mythical Force. They all belonged together.

It was, after all–mutual.

Someone recently hit my car while it was parked across the street from my house. I almost thought it was a hit and run till I found their business card on my windsheild. I called her and she said she'd rather not go through her insurance but pay me directly for the damage to my car. I have been in accidents where I was hit but usually the other person just gives me their insurance info and I call them and get my car fixed fast, no problems. Hello everyone, I am an international student who's been in the USA (Buffalo, NY) for the past 2 years working hard on my masters (i'm 25 now). I bought a POS Saturn last year for 2000 dollars and, well, for that i needed to get car insurance since it's mandatory in this country. Since i was from abroad and i had a learner's permit at the time, i had to get insurance with my international license. Progressive was my only choice so i paid around 700$ for 6 months. That's the rate I've been paying for the last year. Unfortunately, i just don't have the money anymore to pay 700 more dollars for the next 6 months. I tried different insurance companies but they are all around the same range. Apparently, i was stupid enough to not get a credit card as soon as i landed in this country. I was raised with the if you don't have money, don't spend it philosophy so i just used my debit card. This is the only reason that i can see for these absurd rates. Every single one of my friends ( all international students ) pay around 200-250/six months dollars for their pieces of crap cars. I just feel like i'm not being given a fair deal. Not having any credit might put a penalty on me, i understand somewhat how a capitalist mind works... let's say about 100-150 more dollars for 6 months, but a whopping 500 $ ? Don't you think it's kind of messed up that first of all it's mandatory, and then there's no baseline to at least make sure that noone gets ripped off.
