#ra speaks#personal#hmmmm#considering going to the next protest in full dress#a) bc I know I look less threatening when I present fem and I know this is gonna be a high tension kinda demonstration#and therefore I might need to be in diffusing role if anyone instigates#and again. when presenting fem it’s just easier to come across as demure and polite#as opposed to being outwardly dykey and prepped to the teeth for whatever may#but also b) I feel like it’s high time there’s some visible [redacted] rep in these demos. I’ve literally only seen one other person from#Extra Curricular Club there and I know he’s largely there bc he’s studying Russian w an Arabic minor so he actually knows what’s going on#whereas I just. haven’t seen anyone else and it’s frankly a fucking shame.#(bc you just know those white kids are [redacted] and might be going ti this event we’re protesting)#which seems like all the more reason I be there and be visible and be identifiably Other#but at the same time….idk no one at these demos has seen me in anything other than my dykey flannel and jeans and I don’t wanna come off#as preachy or something for turning up the fem performance or whatever#ughhhhgggg I said I’d be there in the comdef chat so I gotta show and figure out what I’m doing when I get there
