Starting a Decades Challenge

I’ll be following the rules as per this site’s instructions, but I’ll be adding some other things to the gameplay that I think will make it more fun. Such as rolling a d20 when a sim ages up (or gives birth) to see if they’ll survive that life stage (which I’ll do until probably the 1960s) and sending male sims off to war for longer and give them more chances to be killed. But for the most part I’ll be following along with the rules as said. Also, a good chunk of the houses and lots I’ll be using will be from the gallery because I can barely build half-decently.

Right now, we start in the year 1890 in a little house in Henford-On-Bagley.

Tommy Beckham is our legacy founder. He’s a quiet young man, but has a great head on his shoulders. He dreams of being a famous poet, and spends most of his days typing away on the typewriter or carving wooden statues to sell.

His wife, Caroline, couldn’t be more unlike him. She’s a very social young woman and often has her head in the clouds dreaming about painting. She tends to the home and garden, and spends her free time painting or going to market with her friends.

Tommy and Caroline are saving up their money right now to afford a larger house for the big family they dream of. Surprise surprise, aspiring poets don’t get paid much! They’ve got a long way to go until then.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? ts2: no. ts3: no. ts4: sometimes cause the weight/muscle gain is fucked

5. Favorite mod? ts2: all the fixes that make it bareable. ts3: havent played recently enough to remember. ts4: littlemssam’s catalogue

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? ts2 seasons i think? but maybe it was night life. i dont remember for sure.

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? i flip flop

8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? i love all my sims equally (a lie, i have a soft spot for all my bachelor/ette contestants)

10. What sim traits do you give yourself? ts2: 5/5/4/6/5. ts3: couch potato, light sleeper, shy, hates the outdoors, night owl. ts4: lazy, geek, creative, (socially awkward, unflirty, loner)

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? i dont really have one in ts2 but in 4 it’s neutral blonde

12. Favorite EA hair? ts2: aline. ts4: tie between the tiny living curly bun and the werewolves long shaggy

13. Favorite life stage? adult i guess?

14. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? ts2 and ts3: gameplay. ts4: CAS and decorating

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? started with the exchange and all that photoskinned stuff. then went the untucked shirt route. then slid more into full maxis match where ive stayed until recently going more maxis mix with ts4.

21. What’s your Origin ID? i dont have anything up but it’s sew123093 until i figure out smth else i wanna go by

22. Who’s your favorite CC creator? too many to list. i know this is a cop-out answer ♡

23. How long have you had a simblr? since july 2012 oof

24. How do you edit your pictures? i dont for the most part. some cropping and maybe a little fiddling with brightness/contrast but i mostly cant be bothered.

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? no ideas really. or a lot of little ones that theyll probably make into kits so i dont really wanna put that out into the universe. hope they end up making that goth kit though. switch horses to a gamepack

25. What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? ts2 seasons, ts3 supernatural, ts4.............uh.........idk (i honestly just picked the ones i have the fondest memories of for 2 and 3)
