#i haven’t said anything mostly because i’ve been at work and i’m now getting ready to go out#so i haven’t rlly had time to put together something thoughtful#and i’m as white as they come so my voice is in no way shape or form one of the ones that needs to be amplified#but i hope you guys (my max mutuals) know that not every issue regarding max is some knee jerk fan war sort of situation#like yeah. he should not have said that and i really hope that’s not what he genuinely believes#there are many people who will look at his statements today and NEVER be able to rationalize why someone could support him#and this immediate ‘oh don’t fill the max tag with hate’ just feels tone deaf to me.....idk#like yeah the situation has nuance (obviously) but at the same time it doesn’t#so idk#be mindful#it’s hard to see someone you invest so much emotional energy with be so ignorant#but there are far more important things than your discomfort#what max said today was HARMFUL#i’m happy to hear other people’s perspectives if you’re willing to share#and please someone correct me if i’m wrong on this#the last thing i want is to contribute to these harmful cycles and rhetoric#👍
