today i finished blue eyes black hair by marguerite duras. she's far from being one of my favorite authors but I feel very connected to her books. I'm having fun thinking about the similarities in everything I've read by her so far :-)

#I'm sooo obsessed with the erasure of subjectivity in her books #everything symbolises something else something universal #the protagonist of blue eyes black hair covers her face with a black veil every night and eliminates her individuality #anne desbaresdes represents the dead woman and moderato cantabile is about her and chavin becoming others #the lovers in hiroshima mon amour call each other hiroshima and nevers #most of her characters don't even have names #and yet despite the attempt to universalise personal experiences everything remains incommunicable #it makes me feel so insane #بات چیت
