nothing inparticular it's just a semiautobiographical novel and i think it's very funny how it often gets put on reading lists alognside like big volumes of Academic Queer Theory. and us Girls need to start doing that with seirous weakness because it wqould be funny

#ask #a slightly more serious answer is that the reason this happens with SBB #is because a lot of queer people (esp. tme lesbians bc. yknow. its about and by one) find it speaks meaningfully to their experiences #and yknow. i know a lot of transfems who feel that way about serious weakness. although it is MUCH funnier thing #to tell people to read as if it were theory. like im having a little funny jokes time here
