It was Rohith Vemula's death and protests that were the beginning of other protests in campuses across India. Campus by campus students and universities were called anti-national by ruling party, government and its supporters. JNU, DU, Aligarh University, Varanasi, Pune, Mumbai and multiple campuses in South were raising glorious slogans against the politics of right. In middle of this Zee News and godi media outlets broadcasted a video where protesters were shown sloganeering anti-India chants - the videos are now proven to be doctored by these channels. Kanhaiya Kumar and others were arrested on the basis of these doctored videos. Even today, hyena packs of shakha robots refer to protesters as 'tukde tukde gang' referring to the doctored videos. Naturally, if truth mattered to any of these hyenas they would have duly apologised and course corrected but no, truth is a convenient casualty in their fight to sink the secular republic so a new robo-republic of the right can take shape on the corpses of dalits, Muslims and others who do not believe in the ideology of division and Brahminical order.

It is this divisive politics and bigoted project you have to speak and act against. We have to dismantle the caste structure, its figures and everything that represents and prospers the idea of caste. In this regard, that statue of Manu in Rajasthan High Court must be brought down, all copies of Manu Smriti must be burnt just as Ambedkar burnt them, beef eating must go mainstream, beef festivals must get organised on public spaces for it was the beef that sent Dalits to the borders of villages sowing seeds of caste system. Beef eating is mentioned even in the starting texts of Hinduism - in Rigveda, a revered saint says he likes his beef tender, that of a calf. Brahmins were called killers of cow essentially because a cattle was slaughtered to feed them when they visited a house. Hinduism, that of Vedas and Ramayana isn't of vegetarianism. Original Ramayana of Valmiki has mention of so many meat dishes but later texts purged them for reasons known best to them. It was during later Shaivite tradition with Shankaracharya that campaign for vegetarianism in Brahmins and upper caste took shape and this campaign wasn't driven by ideas rooted in morality but to stop the spread of Buddhism and Jainism which propagated principles of non-violence. Even Buddhists weren't originally vegetarians, they campaigned against sacrificial slaughtering of animals which was rampant in Hinduism then and is even widespread today. Real vegetarians were Jains. As people started flocking in large numbers to these religions from Hinduism, feared Brahmins, to maintain their hegemony, started propagating vegetarianism. And so Dalits were pushed to boundaries of their villages, and thus superiority of nonsense started taking shape. Beef eating is as Hindu as Vedas are. Those who say beef eating isn't Hindu way of life are saying Vedas are anti-Hindu texts. Know this. Campaign against beef is extension of old system to create the other - dalits then and Muslims now - it is through this nonsense that they derive their strength and legitimacy from. Let them do their nonsense but let them not claim they are Hindus because eating beef is part of Hinduism as long as Vedas are termed Hindu texts, campaigning against beef eating is Brahminism, a narrow minded set of ideas whose purpose is to divide the society to maintain oppressive order. Beef is Hindu way of eating mentioned in Vedas and practised by early Hindus.

So have your beef, talk about it, hell, celebrate beef eating and while you're at it, also burn those copies of Manusmriti and take down that statue of Manu who said men are to be oppressed because they were born in different houses and women are to serve men because they are born differently or they are impure because they bleed. Take down that statue. Read Babasaheb Ambedkar. Educate, Agitate, Organize!

RELIGIOUS BELIEF:  Polytheist, most likely.  She doesn’t really associate herself with any religion, but fully acknowledges the existence of deities in her world because she’s literally died, rejected ascending into the Heavens/Cosmos, and cannon-ball’d into the inferno just so she could fight her way back to the Land of the Living.  Naturally, she’s going to be more open to the possibility of other religious figures existing in the universe.  Of course, she found herself becoming more curious about the deities in Voodoo, and Hinduism over time.

SCARS / MARKS:  Kyung has two beauty marks on her face (one under her left eye, and one that’s constantly hidden under her hair on the corner of her right eye), and wears her scars proudly (unless she has to cover them up with makeup for special occasions/events).  Her scars are mostly stitches from when she’s been stabbed/cut, or where she’s been shot (two out of three of her deaths have been by getting shot).  Naturally, as a fighter, she typically nurses a few nasty bruises, and bloodied knuckles.

ABILITIES / POWERS:  Heightened levels of physical strength, flexibility, speed, durability, pain-tolerance, and stamina.  Fully trained in using firearms, blade-throwing, and is a master of various fighting styles.  As a ghost [LM3 universe], she maintains these abilities with the addition of having access to using her soul-bound scythe, and having the default abilities a ghost has.  On the off-chance her assistance is needed by her godmother, Kyung willingly allows herself to become a sort of magical conduit/vessel for Tamara to possess.

RESTRICTIONS:  She tends to take on more damage due to preferring to block certain attacks, instead of dodging.  Being a left-handed person, Kyung takes on a Southpaw fighting stance, which leaves her more open to attack from an opponent if she’s boxing.  Even as a High Functioning Autistic person, Kyung still has the occasional issues with timing her movements, short bursts of memory loss, and delayed reflexes. 

𝙵𝙰𝚅𝙾𝚁𝙸𝚃𝙴𝚂.

FOOD:  Kyung loves sweets, and various types of comfort food (spaghetti and meatballs, mac ‘n’ cheese, salmon, etc.).  While she prefers soups, stews, Asian and Western cuisine, Kyung tends to get very interested in different foods from other parts of the World.  This is especially the case if it looks good, and has certain ingredients that she knows that she loves.

DRINK:  She prefers coffee (generously sweetened), but loves tinkering around with floral/herbal teas, bubble tea, mocktails, milkshakes, and fruit juice.  If it’s sweet, she’ll very likely drink it, yet doesn’t care too much for sodas or energy drinks.

PIZZA TOPPING:  Pizza isn’t something she eats that often, but when she does, Kyung either gets extra cheese and black olives, or will branch out with less traditional toppings such as broccoli, carrots, sliced meatballs, and spinach.

MUSIC GENRE:  No real preference for genre, and just loves a little bit of almost everything (for some reason, she’s not the biggest fan of Country, and it makes her sad that she can’t listen to it properly).

BOOK GENRE:  She reads a lot of anatomy and physiology books (especially the ones that are more “explicit”), hobbies/crafts, and various skin-leather bound books from her journey through Hell (she can’t really read them, but she likes the pictures).

MOVIE GENRE:  Horror, typically old ones with the exception of contemporary/modern flicks that catch her interest.  She also loves the more adult-comedies, and animated movies/cartoons that are for all ages.

SEASON:  Fall, and Spring.

CURSE WORD:  F-bombs for days, along with a lot of the S-word, and frequently uses the Christian lord’s name in vain out of habit.

SCENT(S):  Sugary sweet desserts (she especially loves vanilla), and sweet-floral (rose, sweetpea, passion flower, lily of the valley).

Pope Francis on Tuesday appointed an auxiliary bishop in Cebu (the Philippines), a bishop in Srikakulam (India) and another bishop in Bereina (Papua New Guinea).

The Holy Father appointed 3 bishops in Asia on July 16.

Philippines

He appointed Father Midyphil B. Billones as Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Cebu in the central Visayas regions of the Philippines.

The 50-year-old priest of the archdiocese is the rector of St. Joseph Regional Seminary of Jaro. With his appointment, he has been assigned the titular see of the Tagarata.

Born in Pan-ay, in the Archdiocese of Capiz, on July 4, 1969, Fr. Billones completed his higher and philosophy studies at St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary in Iloilo City. Thereafter he obtained a Master’s degree in theology from Loyola School of Theology in Quezon City in Manila.

Oct. 2, 1995: Ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Jaro;

1995-1997: Assistant parish priest of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Jaro;

1997-2000: Personal secretary to Archbishop Alberto Jover Piamonte of Jaro;

Meanwhile, in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, the Pope appointed Fr. Vijaya Kumar Rayala as Bishop of Srikakulam diocese. He takes over from Bishop Innayya Chinna Addagatla, who retired on December 12, 2018.

The 49-year-old priest is the regional superior of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME) to which he belongs.

Fr. Rayarala was born on October 15, 1969, in Khammam. After joining the PIME missionaries in 1990 took an orientation course with them for two years at St. John's Minor Seminary in Nidadavolu, Eluru.
