Shape shifters in animation

To convey a genderfluid character I want the character to be a shape shifter. Shape shifters in media usually can shift into any gender they chose without any limitations. This concept was specifically inspired by Nimona a netflix animation which follows a shapeshifter trying to become an sidekick to a villian.

Nimona changes based on what they want to be, even stating in that they feel worse when they don't shift. They enjoy the freedom that comes with taking whatever form they choose which I relate to being genderfluid.

Other common shapeshifters in media include; Mystique from xmen, Penny from Amazing World of Gumball, and Beast Boy from Teen Titans.

Shapeshifters can also be found commonly in mythology across many cultures
